It is my great honour as president of the BSRD to welcome you to our first face-to-face scientific meeting in over two years.

Dear Colleagues,

To mark this important milestone in returning to the ‘new normal’, the conference is being

held at a truly iconic venue, The Royal Institution in the heart of London’s Mayfair district.

The RI’s instantly recognisable Georgian lecture theatre, known to children the world over

for its Christmas Lectures started by Michael Faraday in 1825, has hosted world famous

speakers over the years, including Carl Sagan and Sir David Attenborough.

I am certain our programme of speakers will be right at home amongst this esteemed

company! There is something for everyone, whether undergraduate member, restorative

trainee, GDP, specialist or consultant; we all need to pay attention to the little details in

order to achieve the big result.

As a special thank you to all our delegates, we are hosting a complimentary drinks

reception within the RI’s stunning rooms at the end of the day and I look forward

to raising a glass to you all.

James Baker, President, BSRD
