Dvořák Te Deum
SAINT-SAËNS REQUIEM & CHOPIN PIANO CONCERTO NO 2Stunning concert last night! I loved the Chopin and therewas a lovely balance between orchestra, choir, soloists and organ in the Saint-Saëns.
Ellen Hume, June 2018
DVOŘÁK STABAT MATERBach Musica NZ’s performance of Dvořák's Stabat Mater was a unique experience! From the beginning to the final chord I was totally fascinated. The musicality and intensity of this performance were exemplary. The soloists - in particular Ben Kubiak - as well as the outstanding choir and the professional orchestra were masterful. Their comprehensive, understanding interpretation and precise response to the demanding musical direction from the podium were just outstanding! We have lived in Auckland for four years now and this was the best concert we have experienced here during this time.
Rainer W. Buhmann, October 2018
CONCERT REVIEW: RITA PACZIAN TAKES ON DVOŘÁK WITH BACH MUSICA NZFrom the outset, conductor Rita Paczian commanded the orchestra and choir with physical precision and tender expressiveness. She led the performers through the full range of expression from intimate quiet piano to the full slew of forte sound. With so few bodies in the choir, I wondered how they would create a full Romantic choral sound, but with the first swell into forte I was convinced, here was a choir that could deliver.
