Dear Parent or Guardian, We have been very fortunate in securing a visit from the Carnegie Medal winning author Philip Reeve on Wednesday 22nd February. His series of books “Mortal Engines” is in pre-production for filming with Peter Jackson as producer and director. Philip will be with us for the whole day and will talk to the students in Years 7, 8 and 9 across that day. We will also be selling copies of some of his books in the Library at lunchtime which Philip will sign for the students if they so wish. Should your son or daughter be interested in owning a signed copy of one of Philip’s books, could you make sure that they have some money with them in school on that day? The average price of the books is £7. Alternatively I shall take orders on the day, although obviously these books will not be able to be signed by the author. I hope that the students enjoy this wonderful opportunity. Yours sincerely
