French National Honor Society French National Honor Soci-ety students visited Ridge Elementary School to intro-duce the 5th graders to French. Despite the chal-lenge of Friday afternoon attention spans, the RHS students were able to teach some Francophone geogra-phy, greetings and num-bers. The students happily participated in Bingo and practiced mini-conversations.

RHS History Bowl RHS’ History Bowl team recently competed in the Bergen County Tournament at Tenafly High School and left with multiple awards! Ben Amos, Danny Gnall, Kumail Raza, Bruce Zhang and Matthew Zachem had an out-standing performance, winning 1st place in the Varsity Bowl! The JV Bowl team, which con-sists of Philip Terman, Shrestha Hari, Hunter Haglid, Nick Pruitt and Annabel Mendoza, ad-vanced to the final round of the JV Bowl playoffs only narrowly missing the top spot. Ridgewood also completely dominated the History Bee tournament. Danny Gnall won the Varsity Bee, while Bruce Zhang and Ben Amos came in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. Philip Terman once again stumped all of his opponents and won the JV Bee. Last but not least, Nick Pruitt crushed the Geography Olym-piad exam earning one of the highest scores of all participants. It was a great day for Ridgewood’s History Bowl Team. Their hard work and dedication and made RHS proud. Congrats to everyone!
