ABOUT US 1. Brief history: Diesel Loco Shed, Moula-Ali was established in the year 1979 to maintain YDM1R & YDM2 locomotives and located at a distance of 7 Km from Rail Nilayam. Earlier, this shed was maintaining meter gauge and Broad gauge hydraulic locomotives. Further the activities of the shed had got expanded and from the year 2002, WDM2 main line locos were homed for maintenance. Presently the holding has increased to 70 locos out of which 40 locos are working in passenger / express links. In addition to the locos, the shed is also holding 15 DEMUs and 3 DHMUs meeting the demand of sub-urban traffic. The shed also maintains Accident Relief Equipment's viz. SPART, SPMRV and 140 T BD crane of Secunderabad Division. To improve operational efficiency of the fleet, the shed is equipped with 200 KL capacity RCD and 100 KL capacity bulk lube oil storage facilities have been commissioned in the shed in the year 28.05.2004. 2. Administration: The shed is headed by Sr.DME, assisted by 01 DME & 02 ADMEs and 01 AMM with staff strength of 372 against sanction of 395. Store depot is attached to DLS/MLY headed by one AMM with about 1100 stocked items. 3. 1. Brief history:
