What is Easter?

Easter is a Christian festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his crucifixion at Calvary as described in the New Testament.

Christian Easter

Easter is one of the most important annual festivals Christian, represent Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Easter dishes:

• Drob of lamb• Roast lamb• Pasca• Sponge cake• Painted eggs

Drob of lamb Drob is a traditional

Romanian dish similar to a haggis made of minced lamb's offals wrapped in a caul and roasted like a meatloaf . At Easter, is customary to sacrifice a lamb, so the drob de miel (lamb's drob) is served at Easter as a traditional Easter dish.

Roast lamb

The roast lamb it's Easter specify.Each housewife has its own way to cook steak

Pasca

Pasca is an unleavened bread, is obtained from a mixture of water and one of the five grains wheat, rye, barley, oat and spelled

Sponge cake

Sponge cake is a traditional Romanian, Bulgarian, Macedonian and Albanian sweet bread. It is usually prepared for Easter in Bulgaria, Macedonia and Albania

Painted eggs

Egg decoration is an ancient custom in the Romanian tradition. Painted eggs are a testament to the customs, beliefs and customs of Easter, representing a specific spiritual element Romanian culture.

Red wine is typical Easter Meal

Easter Bunny… Rabbit symbol comes from the goddess Eastre
