BELLS ON TEMPLE SQUARE
In March 2005, a new sound was added to the musical tradition of Temple Square with the creation of the Bells on Temple Square, part of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir organization. Like the members of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Orchestra at Temple Square, and Temple Square Chorale, all the bell ringers are volunteer musicians. The bell choir holds weekly rehearsals under conductor LeAnna Willmore and associate conductor Geoff Anderson for a variety of performances. Eagerly anticipated twice yearly concerts by the Bells on Temple Square showcase the broad spectrum of the handbell repertoire. In addition, the Bells on Temple Square often take part in the weekly Music and the Spoken Word broadcasts of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and play a major role in the Choir’s annual Christmas concerts.
By special request, the Bells on Temple Square performed the closing concert of the Handbell Musicians of America National Seminar held in Anaheim, California during July of this year. The National Seminar provides master classes in conducting and educational bell classes, and features some of the best bell choirs in the Nation.
LEANNA WILLMORE, CONDUCTOR
LeAnna Willmore was named conductor of the Bells on Temple Square in June 2011 after serving as the associate conductor since the formation of the group in 2005. She holds a bachelor of science degree from Weber State University and a master of music degree from the University of Utah. Mrs. Willmore taught choir in the Utah area for nearly 40 years and has served in many state and national leadership positions. Having won many national and state awards as a music
educator, she is a frequent guest conductor and adjudicator. Her husband, Ken Willmore, is a retired structural engineer.
GEOFF ANDERSON, ASSOCIATE CONDUCTOR
Geoff Anderson was appointed associate conductor of the Bells on Temple Square in May 2017. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Southern Utah University and master’s degree from Boston University. Mr. Anderson is currently the director of choirs at Fremont High School with responsibility for vocal ensembles, handbell choir, as well as advanced placement and concurrent enrollment music courses. He is an active member of the Handbell Musicians of America and the National
Association for Music Education and currently serves as the Utah Music Educators Association All-State Chair. He and his wife Marita are the parents of three daughters.

She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music from Brigham Young University.
LINDA S. MARGETTS
Linda Margetts has taught at two universities, lectured at Church music workshops for over 20 years, traveled to Europe and the Middle East to perform organ recit-als, and served as an organ judge and held leadership positions in state and local chapters of the American Guild of Organists.
A Tabernacle organist since 1984, she has been a mem-ber of the music faculty at Utah State University and is
