Maintainability is the relative ease and economy of

time and resources with which an item can be retained

The Game of Maintainability has the target to train

the maintainability principles and the definition of

maintainability programs.

• From 12 to 36 players in 12 teams.

• Help the players to obtain the goals.

1st Step:

• Repair a machine with penalty

factors.

• Measure the time to repair.

• Draw the maintainability functions

and calculate maintainability rates.

2nd Step:

• Define a maintainability program to remove

the penalty factors (with the maintainability

program generators).

• Redraw the maintainability functions and

recalculate maintainability rates.

• Compare and discuss results.

3rd Step:

• Define a maintainability program to include

features to facilitate maintainability (with the

maintainability program generators).

• Redraw the maintainability functions and

recalculate maintainability rates.
