A xed term employment of
undergraduates. For more informationsee our placements brochure.

between Mid-June and end Aug for 1year.
Undergraduate salary negotiable:
around 13-18,000 plus employmentcosts.
Summer/ vacation
(Internship)
A xed term summer employment ofstudents.
2-3 months (June-Sept) to suit

Graduate Internship
A xed term employment of new and
recent graduates.
All year round depending on fundsavailable; 3-6 months.
Salary as above plus subsidy to

Undergraduate/ postgraduate
student consultancy projectsSolving dened problems,undertaking research, introducing
new ideas.
From Jan to May. Projects submittedby December.
Will vary depending on project.
e.g. Market research consultancy195 per project.
Knowledge Transfer
Partnership (KTP)
Access and embed knowledge fromthe University. Fixed term employment
of graduates working at the businesson a strategic project. For more
information see www.ktponline.org.uk.
A project can start at any time after
approval of the application and
recruitment of the graduate. From 1-3years or short PIKT 3-12 month.
Government grant (40 to 60%)
Business/organisation contributionapprox.:
17,000 p.a. 250 staff
Consultancy/Collaborative

Businesses and other organisationscan access specic expertise at
the University to assist with projects
problem solving etc.
Time depends on the project
requirements and University staffavailability.

Continuing Professional
Development
Development of specic knowledgeand skills for employees and
