I'm an Application Support Engineer at Engine Yard

I work for Engine Yard. I help our customers tame their wild Unicorns and their crazy Passengers.

I deal with Linux, monit, Nginx, Unicorn, Passenger, Rails, New Relic, and everything else needed to help our customers run and manage their Rails applications at scale.

Yesterday I helped a customer figure out the optimal worker allocation for all their application instances. I analyzed New Relic data and system logs to figure out the right memory limit for their workers to maximize worker density while avoiding swapping at the same time.
