• The behavior of people for thisissue is very casual. In spite of knowing the adverse effect of this activity on environment

• People do one thing and sayanother because they thinkthat government itself is nottaking any action regardingthis issue so why should they

bother.•

people do one thing and say altogether awhole different thing. For instance,people throwing garbage do not acceptthat they are doing so and contributing inincreasing the pollution level both in thewater and on land even in front of oureyes which signifies very improper andraw attitude of people towards theenvironment.

improper and wrong attitudeof people as government isthe one who is notimplementing the rules and

regulating them properly.• In fact our research showed

that around 80% think thatgovernment efficiency on this

issue is average and around

• Government should increase the numberof dustbins in those areas or locations

where there is higher accumulation of garbage and waste.

• The garbage vans ( municipal ) frequentvisit and larger coverage area.

• Government should now wake up and banthe use of plastic bags followingpromotion of paper bags it is high timethat government should take this

problem seriously and implement rules

• Companies be it private or public should focus oncleanliness outside their office premises.Incentive should be brought in for employees

actively participating in waste management.And incentives should be sponsored byfoundation like ‘Ekta’.

alliance with corporate level chemical fertilizersand manure manufacturer companies for ex-Dharmasi Morarji(Thane) and Rama Krishi(Pune) because these industries use disposedoff stuff, they can use to make their product.

products so that it can raise fund fromeach set of product which in turncontributes to the main fund value.

reasons like they throwgarbage in the water because

• People should carry one personal paper bag withthemselves while travelling to keep thegenerated waste.

• If you see some one throwing wrappers, garbage or

plastic bags in water come forward and stop thatperson.

• People themselves are not honest because theiranswers were contradictory as they are verymuch ignorant about the issue so on personal

ground they should take major initiative.• It’s a 21stcentury and people should start thinking in

a pragmatic manner and should try not to throw garlands and other waste in plastic bags in water bodies.
