CONGRATULATIONS NATHAN AND WYATT Congratulations to Wyatt and Nathan! They are the successful recipients to a 2017 Scholarship that will go towards supporting their wellbeing and learning at school in their final years. Hi Parents/Carers You’re strongly advised to attend the upcoming

‘Cyber Safety Session’ On the 30th of August at BVS.

The session will be around giving personal information to strangers, appropriate use of Face Book, Cyber 'friendships' and what's real, concepts of private and public on Social Media and inappropriate use of ICT including sexual behaviours. This will provide you with vital information about the cyber risks and to help you to keep your child safe when using technology and on the internet. Barwon Valley is an esmart school and continues to provide a safe environment for you child when using technology at school and we need your support when using technology at home.

DENTAL VAN VISIT

The Dental Van will be visiting the school on Wednesday14th

September, Thursday 15th September and Friday 16th September.

If you are wanting your student to visit the Dental Van please get in touch with the Administration office.

WHOLE SCHOOL ASSEMBLY

This week for Whole School Assembly the House Leaders are having a Mini Olympics.

GEELONG MUSIC AND MOVEMENT FESTIVAL

The Geelong Music and Movement Festival was so much fun. The BVS MOVERS performed their routine and they were amazing! All those days of practicing and having fun together really paid off and their performance was outstanding. Thank you to everyone who helped in all the practice sessions and on the special day. BARWON VALLEY MINI OLYMPICS

We are having a Mini Olympics day on

Friday 26th August.

Please come dressed in House Colours or your favourite Olympian.

We have received a donation of medals and

each student will bring home a medal to keep as part of their participation.

WELLBEING

SUPER HERO DAY Barwon Valley School is holding a Super Hero Day on 2nd September. Please send you child along to school as their favourite Super Hero.

CYBER SAFETY SESSION Robbie Noggler from the Community Policing Unit will be at Barwon Valley School on 30th August at 2.00pm to talk about Cyber Safety. All parents and senior students are welcome to attend.

GOLF DAY

Just a reminder our Golf day is on 4th November 2016.

Jake (JOS) - For being a super responsible student.

Elena (JP4) - For increased independence in the bathroom.

Tjay (JOS) - For giving a great performance at the Costa Hall concert.

Jack (S11) - For being a responsible Bus Leader.

Jacob (S08) - For being responsible by sitting on his chair during morning circle and listening well.

Htoo Saw (S20) - For always having a positive attitude to all aspects of his school life.

Cy (S07) - For excellent progress with his math goal.

Natasha (S17) - For using a quiet voice to ask for more time on the exercise equipment.
