Day at the Farm

On November 15, Dr. Wallace had the pleasure of escorting 15 of our best business students to Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company for 'Life at the Farm'. The students learned about various areas of business, received a tour of the corporate building, and were treated to lunch. Other schools in attendance were Jackson State University, Tougaloo College, and Millsaps; however, Belhaven had the largest representation. Our students were profes-sional, poised, well-behaved, and well-mannered. I am extremely proud of the fifteen students who attended and who expressed an eagerness to learn more about the industry they will soon join. It was a great day for Belhaven!

Student Spotlights

Brick Pugh Sports Management Major from Athens, Alabama who attended Belhaven University for the op-portunity to play baseball and further his education. He feels like Belhaven has prepared him tremendously for his future, and helped him become even clos-

er to God. Desaree McCrary Healthcare Administration Major from Terry, MS who attended Belhaven University because of its Christian foundation and to form new connections in my pro-fessional life. My experience at Belhaven has impacted my future by providing me with professional connections in my work field.

Graduating seniors were asked to give a brief insight to their reason for attending Belhaven University and their experiences

Reagan Anders Business Administration major from Mar-shall , TX who attended Belhaven University because of its small family-like atmosphere and spiritual values. I’ve had the opportunity to grow and attend Hilton Head Ethics Conference which assisted in shaping me into the businesswoman I aspire to be.

Wendell Meyers Accounting Major from Douglasville, GA who attended Belhaven University be-cause of how welcoming the faculty and staff when I visited, as well as , the sense of family that is present here on campus. Personally, Belhaven has taught me to seek God above all else. Likewise in my profes-sionally life, Belhaven instilled an attitude of service that glorifies God and seeks to serve others.
