IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION

Parking: Buses and equipment trucks will be directed to the back of the school. Equipment trucks willremain in the back parking lot while the buses will unload their passengers and then be directed to anelementary school approximately three blocks away. Volunteers will park in an alcove behind theschool or on the street down by the baseball field. Spectators will park on the street adjacent to thefootball stadium and on the local streets in the surrounding neighborhood.

Restrooms: Restrooms will be available to band members by the gym entrance on the side of thebuilding upon arrival. The front of the school will be the warm-up area and the front of the school willbe open to allow band members access to the restrooms located to the right of the entrance next tothe cafeteria. Volunteers may use the restrooms by the gym or the restrooms located down the hillbehind the snack stand. Spectators can use the restrooms located down the hill behind the snackstand.

Member Re-Entry: Spectators will have wristbands. Band members usually remain in their uniformsso they are fairly recognizable.

Tickets: Tickets will be $12.00 for adults and $9.00 for seniors and students. Tickets can bepurchased at the ticket booth. Cash or credit cards will be accepted.

Warm Up: Bands will have an optional non-playing warm-up area available to them on the lowerbaseball field one hour and fifteen minutes prior to their step-off time. They will then be directed to thefront of the school for their warm-up forty five minutes before their step-off time. They will be broughtto the gate fifteen minutes before their step-off time. There will be guides leading the bands fromlocation to location.

Field Surface: The field is natural grass with high school hashes.

Power on Field: Power will be located on the track, near the 50-yard line.

Retreat: For retreat, Drum majors and color guard captains will be directed by the announcer toreport to the entrance gate after the final band’s performance.

Critique: Critique will be held in an outdoor location to be announced.

Awards: Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each group and Plaques will be awarded for allothers.

Concessions: The concession stand is located at the west end of the football stadium. Cash or creditcards will be accepted.

Credentials/Access: All schools need to provide their staff and volunteers with the appropriateUSBands credentials.

From the Garden State Parkway or Route 17 North or South:Follow to Route 4 East in Paramus. Take Route 4 East to Teaneck Road. When you see TeaneckHigh School on your right get into the right lane for the Teaneck Road exit. Continue overTeaneck road and take the second Teaneck Road exit (Teaneck Road north bound-Bergenfield). Follow the instructions from Teaneck Road, shown below.

From NJ Turnpike North:Follow NJ Turnpike North to Route 95 -toward the George Washington Bridge. Follow signs forexit 70 and take the second exit (exit 70B), marked Teaneck. You will pass over Route 95 andcontinue to drive past the first light (Gienpoint Marriott Hotel on your right). Switch to the right laneand turn right at the next light onto Teaneck Road. Continue north on Teaneck Road past HolyName Hospital on your left. Pass under Route 4 and continue toward Bergenfield. Follow theinstructions from Teaneck Road, shown below.

From the George Washington Bridge:Follow the signs for Route 4 West from the Bridge plaza. Continue on Route 4 until you see signsfor Teaneck Road. Take the first Teaneck Road exit, north toward Bergenfield. Follow theinstructions from Teaneck Road, shown below.In the event you miss the turn for Route 4 and end up on Route 80/95, if you are in the locallanes, look for the Glenpoint Marriott on your right, take the exit there toward Teaneck, andcontinue to drive past the first light (the Glenpoint Marriott Hotel will still be on your right). Switchto the right lane and turn right at the next light onto Teaneck Road. Continue north on TeaneckRoad past Holy Name Hospital on your left. Pass under Route 4 and continue toward Bergenfield.Follow the instructions from Teaneck Road, shown below.If you are in the express lanes of 80/95, take the exit for the NJ Turnpike and follow signs toTeaneck Road. Turn right onto Teaneck Road. Continue north on Teaneck Road past HolyName Hospital on your left. Pass under Route 4 and continue toward Bergenfield. Follow theinstructions from Teaneck Road, shown below.

Directions from Teaneck Road:Continue on Teaneck Road northbound until you see the Teaneck Armory on your right. You are now enteringBergenfield and the road name changes to Washington Ave. Counting the light at the Armory as one, you willtravel three lights to the intersection of Clinton Avenue andWashington Ave. The Roy Brown Middle School should be on your left. Turn left onto ClintonAvenue, go over the Railroad tracks, and proceed up the hill to the High School. You will see the entrance tothe high school on your right as you cross South Prospect Avenue. Buses andequipment trucks will enter there, and proceed to the rear of the school where you will be greeted by your Bandguide. Cars will park further down on Clinton Avenue next to the field.
