MISSION STATEMENT: Blessed Trinity Catholic Church Stewardship Community recognizes Jesus is Lord. We believe that

our Time, Talent and Treasure are gifts from God to be used for the spiritual, educational and social needs of

our community, the Diocese and the world at large, especially the poor.

STEWARDSHIP BY THE BOOK

Alleluia! Christ is risen and is victorious over sin and death! We are good stewards of our

faith if, like St. Paul, we share this good news whenever and wherever we can.

WORD OF LIFE

“Reflecting on the healed wounds of the

Risen Christ, we see that even our most

difficult trials can be the place where God

manifests his victory. He makes all things

beautiful. He makes all things new.”

One of the recommended Responsorial Psalms on this glorious Easter Sunday is Psalm 118, including this from verse 24: “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad.” In truth Easter is all about rejoicing. It is the day of Resurrection which provides hope to all of us.

Throughout our diocese thousands of people are at Mass today who may not normally attend. Recent studies have shown that as many as 40 percent of those who do not regularly attend may not have been at Mass since Christmas.

That is another reason for us to rejoice and say “Welcome home.” We miss you and we love you. Christ’s love for us is at the foundation of our celebration today. St. Augustine once wrote, “God loves each of us as if there were only one of us.” We ask God’s blessings on all those who have passed our amazing religion to you. Clearly you do remember your devotion and are here to honor it.

Our Catholic Church considers today to be the holiest day of the year. For us as Catholics this celebrates one of the greatest days in history — when Jesus, the Son of God, defeated death and rose from the grave giving us all hope for eternal life. St. Pope John Paul II may have put it best several years ago when he proclaimed, “Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are the Easter people and hallelujah is our song.”

we once again sing Alleluia. We praise You and bless You

for raising Jesus up from the dead and we praise and bless You

for all the times You have raised us up through Your grace.

In this Easter season and always, when we are weak and unable

to make good decisions; when we are stubborn

and refuse to forgive others; when we are afraid or discouraged and forget that You strengthen us;

when we are too selfish or too weary to follow Jesus as we should;

raise us up, loving God, raise us up. Thank You for giving us

new life in Jesus and for His presence among us

This Eastertime and always. Amen

DIVINE MERCY DEVOTION

The Novena of Divine Mercy was revealed to St.

Faustina on August 10, 1937… “I desire that, during

these nine days, you bring souls to the fount of My

Mercy, that they may draw therefrom strength and

refreshment and whatever graces they need...On

each day you will bring to My Heart a different

group of souls and you will immerse them in this

ocean of My Mercy.” (The NOVENA is to BEGIN on

GOOD FRIDAY for the nine days before the Feast of

Divine Mercy.) “I want to grant a complete pardon

to the souls that will go to Confession and receive

Holy Communion on the Feast of My Mercy.”

“...that whoever approaches the Fount of Life on this

day will be granted complete remission of sins and

punishment. Mankind will not have peace until it

turns with trust to My Mercy.”

JESUS and MARY invite You to a Night of Prayers and Sacrifice

As many families today are in crisis because of prevalence of what the Holy Father calls as the “culture of death”, the

Communion of Reparation is a chance whereby this brokenness can be HEALED through the heroics of a “FEW” throughout the

world who makes the sacrifice of praying all night. Come console the Hearts of JESUS and MARY, and help them

bring PEACE in families...and in the world

OUR TWO UGANDA STUDENTS ARE GRADUATING AND SO…? Hello everyone, we are the two exchange students Fortunate Kyosaba and Gorret Womugisa from Blessed Trinity Parish, Nalweyo, Uganda. We are now seniors at Trinity Catholic High School, Ocala and looking forward to our graduation in May. We have been blessed to come and attend our two years of high school here in Ocala and it has been a special experience. After our high school graduation, we shall be looking forward to going back home to Uganda and pursue our college degrees. We hope to take medical and engineering courses at college. These courses in Uganda are costly and each year medical students pay tuition of about $4,000 each year for five years while engineering students pay about $3,000 each year for four years. We both come from a family of nine kids and our parents could never raise this money to pay for our tuition. On April 14/15 we shall be here at Blessed Trinity seeking your generosity financially to support us to achieve our DREAMS. We welcome all those willing to be our sponsors on our journey of education. Once again thank you for your generosity and kind-ness you have towards us and our education. We love you all and may God bless each one of you. In Christ, Fortunate Kyosaba and Gorret Womugisa

Masses next weekend, April 7th and 8th. All

proceeds will go towards our summer trip to the

well as a week of camping in the Tennessee

support!
