We invite everyone to Pray the Rosary from your home every Monday at 7:30pm. With the COVID-19 going on we are supposed to be practicing social distancing but that doesn't mean you can’t continue to Pray the Rosary where ever you are.
Vacation Bible School 2020
With so many unknowns and the safety and health of our kids and volunteers being of utmost
importance, we have decided to cancel St. Stephen's Vacation Bible School for the summer
of 2020. It is disappointing, as we always look forward to VBS, seeing God work in the lives of our kids and through our volunteers, but we are
confident this is the right decision. We made this decision now so that we can work
on other fun and impactful ways to reach our kids and families during our current situation.
Thank you for your prayers and your continued support of our Kids Ministry!

Helping Hands of Midland 1301 Brinson Lane
(432) 520-8900
We were not surprised at all to read last week that unemployment in Midland has jumped to over 10%...numbers we have not seen in many, many years. And while the calls for help have slowed down a little (due mainly to people now receiving their unemployment checks), the demand for assistance is still extremely high compared to what we are used to in Midland. There are still people having trouble receiving their unemployment checks and it is very difficult to reach these offices for help. The same problem is occurring with the IRS to check on status of stimulus checks. Still, it is a blessing to live in a country where the help is so readily available. And it is an additional blessing to have caring people who are so willing to share what they have with those who are less fortunate. We cannot thank you enough for all of your support that allows us to help those who are falling through the cracks. In an effort to operate our thrift store more efficiently we have changed our store days from Tuesday and Saturday to Wednesday and Saturday. That will give us an additional day to stock the store for our Tuesday shoppers. We still pray that the day will come when we can return to being open three days each week. Due to lack of volunteers we are still unable to send our trucks out to homes to pick up your donations. They can be brought to us at our facility at 1301 Brinson every day Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. till 2 p.m. or they can be brought to our trucks parked outside of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church (4601 Neely) any day during daylight hours. We again remind you that we have updated our website and Facebook pages and we ask you to please check them for updates on a regular basis.
