Steinweg organisation has grown into a multinational logis- tics company that offers stevedoring, warehousing and forwarding services in Europe, Asia, Africa and the America's. Due to our origin as a commodity warehouse for the metals, ferro alloys and steel industries, Stein- weg has always been close to the mining companies and smelters and has over the years developed into a rock solid partner in project cargo. The C. Steinweg Group is asset-based and operates an international network of ocean terminals and warehou- ses. Many of those companies are real specialists in the handling of projects, since our port facilities are very well equipped to handle all kinds of project cargo. Transport Architecture: with an active presence in over 100 ports we offer our customers consulting services examining the logistics characteristics of every cargo movement. We offer the highest quality performance, with a coordinator appointed to supervise along the entire duration of the project.

Multimodal Transport: after an extensive case study, Steinweg will recommend the best combination of air, land and sea transportation to suit your specific needs.

Turnkey Solutions: our strength is our worldwide network. With existing operations in more than 40 countries, we combine the know-how of more than 400 forwarders with our large port and warehousing operations. This enables us to provide door-to-door services for customers, regardless of the size and shape of the cargo.

Stevedoring and port operations: we operate stevedoring terminals in the following ports. Rotterdam, here we operate our main terminals. These are the Hartel terminal (Deep Sea with 130.000m2 of space), the Botlek terminal (289.000m2), the Beatrix terminal (250.000m2) and multiple smaller terminals with a total of more than 2 Mln m2

Warehousing: one of our core activities is the warehousing of a variety of commodities. C. Steinweg’s facilities are fully recognized by major international banks, insurance companies and LME accredited. With the cargo documentation provided by us, we facilitate financing and insurance of stocks held in our custody. Stocks in our warehouses are traded through a number of indexes.

Chartering (Air & Sea): a dedicated team at our Rotterdam headquarters, Brazil and South Africa, supported by our overseas offices worldwide, is monitoring vessels position on a daily basis to meet our customers shipping requirements. All this is done in a confidential way, ensuring your business remains yours and no one else’s.

QHSE and Compliance: obviously we abide by various types of legislation related to handling, storage and transportation. We maintain safe working conditions which are controlled by our Safety Control System, follow regulations according to the Health & Safety Act and provide security maintained by the regulations of ISPS, C-TPAT. Our Management System is certified according to the Quality Standards of ISO 9001: 2008 and we are AEO certified in our EU locations.

Project Management: Our Vast experience has resulted in our "Bringing it all Together" approach in dealing with the most challenging global markets and enables us to deliver even the most demanding projects on time and within budget. Procurement: our clients depend on C.Steinweg’s expertise for timely procurement of materials and equipment for their projects. We have built a wide network of trusted suppliers to meet our clients requirements, delivering critical items to projects in a timely manner to meet project schedules and cost requirements. C.Steinweg has a fully-fledged procurement department providing materials, components, equipment and services. We provide clients with technical resources, processes, systems, market knowledge and volume-leveraged pricing.

Dedicated Project Control Tower: a fully dedicated operational team is allocated to each project with a dedicated representative on-site. This provides administrative relief for our clients. The performance levels are measured through clear and agreed KPI’s. The team provides the management information clients need to make informed decisions. Detailed tracking reports, proactive alerting and exception reporting functions help clients maintain their supply chain advantage.

Smart Data Analytics: client purchase and sales orders are effortlessly and electronically managed through the C. Steinweg Management system. Orders are tracked by customer reference, from the creation date through the supply chain to the final delivery to site. The system measures the performance of all the suppliers and C. Steinweg supplies data on early, on time or late deliveries against set benchmarks and takes proactive action to ensure suppliers meet critical deadlines. Our system als provides intelligent reporting, visibility of each order, material management at origin and destination as well as site compliance management.
