Dear traveller,

Welcome to our Canada Christmas tours for 2011We invite you to join us on a luxury Scenic Tours Canadian Christmas in the Rockies tour where you’ll experience a unique and spectacular part of the world showcased in a magical winter wonderland. Whether you are gazing at the spectacular snow capped Rocky Mountains or exploring your exquisite hotel, you will be amazed at the spectacle and grandeur before you.

Scenic Tours is the leading operator of holidays to Canada from Australia. To a large extent this is because of the quality and all inclusive nature of our tours but also because we offer our guests a number of unique and special benefits. For a start there is our special relationship with Canada’s premiere hotel group, Fairmont Hotel and Resorts. Because of our common commitment to the highest standard of service and quality, our guests stay at the full range of Fairmont Hotels and Resorts which are not available to other Australian tour operators. There is also the fact that we have our own office in Canada, located at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver where the Scenic Tours team is at your service.

Scenic Tours Canada holidays are all inclusive so our guests only have to plan for their personal spending. In addition, our tours are fully escorted. Our goal is always to provide the ultimate holiday experience whatever the destination. That takes careful planning, attention to detail, the best partners – like the Fairmont Hotel and Resort group – and of course, the very best Tour Directors.

Scenic Tours is a private, Australian owned company that is proud of the wonderful travel experiences we have shared with so many guests, both in Australia and overseas. I find it personally rewarding that so many of you travel with us again and again.

“Scenic Tours is a private, Australian owned company and we are proud of the wonderful travel experiences we have brought to so many guests in Australia and overseas.”

When the snow is falling, sleigh bells are ringing and the cosy log fire is burning then it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Scenic Tours offers an exquisite opportunity to revel in all the trimmings and Christmas festivities including Christmas Day at the iconic ‘Castle in the Rockies’, The Fairmont Banff Springs. Enjoy an Exclusive pre dinner reception in the grandiose Mt Stephen Hall and brunch with the jolly old man himself, Santa Claus!

Christmas FestivitiesThe full range of Fairmont Hotels and Resorts welcome you throughout your tour with lavish Christmas decorations. The Fairmont Empress hosts the annual charity event, ‘Festival of Trees’ with Christmas trees creatively decorated and showcased throughout the hotel. Victoria’s Butchart Gardens’ light spectacle will get you into the Christmas spirit before venturing through the remarkable Rocky Mountains where turquoise lakes of summer have now frozen to create the perfect ice skating rink. Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge’s wilderness setting provides a tranquil ambience for snowshoeing then warming up with a delicious North American treat aptly named s’mores, because you’ll be wanting ‘some more’. Lake Louise provides the most stunning setting for your included authentic horse drawn sleigh ride. Fairmont Banff Springs embraces the festive spirit with an array of complimentary activities including curling or a heritage tour of the Castle. Enjoy an evening of fellowship in Mount Stephen’s Hall where hotel guests are invited to raise their voices in a Christmas sing-along.

Scenic FreeChoice InclusionsIn Victoria, Jasper and Banff, Scenic Tours offers an array of included Scenic FreeChoice activities to suit individual desires such as dog sledding through the snow with your own team of huskies in Banff; ice walking in Jasper or discovering Victoria’s history with a visit to a castle and luxurious Afternoon Tea served at The Fairmont Empress Tea Lobby - the choice is yours.

‘Snow Train’ Rail Journey Journey aboard VIA Rail’s spectacular ‘Snow Train’ from coastal Vancouver past the awe inspiring Mt Robson into Jasper National Park.
