2016 Donation Envelopes

The 2016 Cathedral donation envelopes are

located in the Mary Joyce Room. If you are

presently using envelopes please look for the box

with your name. If you would like to start using

envelopes please take a box with no name. Be sure

to put your name on the envelope for at least a

month so we can assign that number to you.

Also if you wish to give electronically you can go to

the Cathedral website at www.juneaucathedral.org

and sign up.

There are 2016 Extension Calendars in the church

entrance. Please take 1 per family. Thank You!

Mass of Christian Burial

for Fr. Thomas Weise

The Mass of Christian Burial and interment of Fr.

Thomas’ ashes will take place on Thursday, De-

cember 31st at 10:00am at the Shrine of St.

Therese. The Mass will be followed by a proces-

sion to the columbarium. We will say goodbye to

Fr. Thomas one last time and as the rite says, “take

our brother to his place of final rest.”

Infant Baptismal Preparation Class

Baptismal Preparation will be offered for parents of children seeking baptism (7 and younger) on Tuesday, January 19th from 6pm to 8pm in the Large Classroom in St. Ann’s Parish Hall.

NAMI Basics is a free, six-session education

course designed for parents, foster

parents, or family caregivers who have a

child or adolescent experiencing emo-

tional or mental health challenges.

Parking Areas Available

These parking lots are available to us on weekends and after 5:00 pm for weekday events:

• Three parking lots directly across 5th Street from the Cathedral, two with entrances on

Gold Street and the other with an entrance on 5th Street

• One parking lot on Gold Street alongside the Cathedral above Pocket Park.

• One lot behind the parish hall with an entrance on Harris Street below Crimont Center

(St. Ann’s Center). Please do not park in the space marked for Hospice Nurses, it is

reserved 24 hours, you could be booted.

• The diocesan lot on 6th Street.

• Limited parking in driveway directly behind parish hall.

High School students, join me and other students from JDHS and TMHS, for Life Teen at 6:45pm every Sunday, upstairs in the St. Paul’s Parish Hall! Food, games, fellowship and Jesus!

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd &

Middle School Youth Group

On Sunday, January 3rd, all children from

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and Youth

in the Middle School Youth Group are invited

to an Epiphany Prayer Service from 12:45pm

to 2:45pm in the Parish Hall classrooms.

We’ll prepare the prayer service from

12:45pm to 2:15pm. Parents, families and

parishioners are invited to join us for the

prayer service at 2:15pm in the Parish Hall.

January Schedule for CGS & MSYG

We resume our normal class schedule on

Sunday, January 10th. We will have classes

on January 10th, 17th, 24th & 31st.

Religious Education at the Cathedral

The Front Street Community

Health Center serves uninsured, underin-

sured and homeless individuals.
