We, the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed
Virgin Mary, are a beacon on the hill in the heart of
Juneau. We welcome everyone to participate in our rich
Catholic traditions. As a Christian faith community, we,
disciples of Jesus, compassionately serve in action, in
worship, and through our relationships.

We meet every Thursday evening at 6:30pm for a light meal and time in community. Our meetings range from movie nights, discussions on aspects of the faith in our
lives, evenings with Eucharistic Adoration, social events, service, and others!

Attention Parents!
As we approach the final months of summer, we’d like
to ask - have you thought about what opportunities this
coming of fall will bring for your child?
At the Cathedral we offer a dynamic program in which
children engage with the faith in a way that encourages
their natural curiosity and creativity, while also prepar-
ing them for the sacraments. This program is called
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) and it takes
place on Sundays during the academic year, starting in
early-mid fall.
CGS introduces children to an exploratory experience
of the faith which cultivates the contemplation and en-
joyment of God while in community with their family
and the parish. Children have a wonderful capacity for
the richness and beauty of the faith - this fall is a great
time to share this opportunity with them!

The video series by Scott Hahn entitled, “Mary and the Scriptures” will be postponed until further notice. A new date and time will likely
be selected to accommodate schedules.

Cathedral Mount Roberts Tram Pass Check Out Procedure
Below is the check out procedure for checking out one of the Cathedral’s three Mount Robert’s Tram passes.
• Please sign up in the parish office at a minimum of 3 days before you need the pass. We cannot guaran-
tee pass availability for requests of shorter notice.
• Each pass is for two people. The person who checks out the pass is responsible for it. IF the card is lost,
the replacement fee is $50.00.
• Day of use: Pick up the pass in the parish office on the morning of the day you will be using it. Office
hours are from 9am to 2pm on weekdays. For weekend use, please contact Fr. Pat Casey.
• Please follow all Mount Roberts Tram rules and procedures.
• Check out policy is for one day of use only. Please return the pass promptly after your day of use. If the
office is closed, place the passes in the locked box at the Cathedral’s entrance.
Juneau’s Love Inc. Needs Our Help!
There is a great need right now for specific personal care and food items for clients who are transitioning from charity housing or shelters to a very small rental apartment. Due to space limitations in the apartment, the personal items should not be too large (like Costco sizes) but not as small as a travel size. Most of the clients are single.
Currently they are very low on the following items:
