HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?
1. Present yourself for membership during any worship service
when the invitation is given.
2. Express your desire for membership through one of the following
means:
• Profession of faith and believer’s baptism by immersion: If you
have never received Jesus as Savior and Lord and/or never
publicly confessed Him, you will be given the opportunity to
do so.
• Transfer membership from another Southern Baptist Church.
• By statement of faith: If you have previously made a
profession of faith and have had believer’s baptism by
immersion, we will be happy to receive you.
3. Attend West Conroe Membership Class This happens on the first
Sunday of every month at 9:30am in HomePointe. You will hear
about our key beliefs, our philosophy of ministry and
opportunities to grow spiritually.

more specific information about WCBC or to request prayer, fill the
card out and drop it in the offering plate at the end of service.
Worship 8:00 am features time-honored hymns with piano, organ,
and choir. 11:00 am features the Celebration Choir, Praise Team and
Band.
Sunday School is available for preschoolers, children, students and
adults at 9:30am.
Wednesday Discipleship Family meal begins at 5:00pm followed by
activities for preschool, children, students and adults at 6:30pm.

MISSIONS/DISCIPLESHIP
• THURSDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY A verse-by-verse study of
the Book of Romans. Begins Thursday, Sept. 4 at 10am
(9:30 for coffee and fellowship). In the Mt. Sinai Room
(c250). Childcare by reservation only; call Nancy at

Dianna and I want to say “thank you” for allowing us to enjoy a
few days of vacation this past week with my brother and sister
celebrating my 60th birthday! We are so grateful for the time
away to rest and refresh. I appreciate the WCBC Staff for taking
care of things while we are gone. I am especially thankful to
David Harper for filling in for me this morning. He will have a
word fresh from God for you today as he continues the sermon
series, “Out of the Mouths of Babes” looking at the story of Noah
and the Ark. I love you and am blessed to be your Pastor and
friend and look forward to being back in worship with you next
Sunday.
Special Called Business Meeting
August 13 – at 6pm the proposed By-Law revisions will be
presented the second time for discussion and a final vote. The
meeting will be held in the Garden Room.
Back 2 School Bash
The Back 2 School Bash is TONIGHT in the Worship Center and
WE NEED YOUR HELP! Volunteers are needed to greet, make
and serve hot dogs, sno-cones and popcorn. We’ll also have
bounce houses, face-painting, balloons and more. This year we
are providing school supplies for 76 foster children and will host
them and their families this evening beginning at 6:00. If you can
help out, report to the Worship Center at 5:15 for your
assignment.
Spaghetti Supper and Auction – THIS FRIDAY NIGHT
Get your supper tickets today for the Spaghetti Supper and
Auction benefitting Bethlehem City. See the center section of
the bulletin for complete information and a partial list of items
that have been donated for the auction. “Diamonds in the
Rough” will also have several tables in the Silent Auction of
authentic sports memorabilia for you to bid on. We are grateful
to them for partnering with us this year. You don’t want to miss
out on all the fun – get your tickets TODAY!
ADULT MINISTRY
• HYMN SING August 31st at 6pm in the Chapel.
• BETH MOORE LIVING PROOF LIVE SIMULCAST will be here at West Conroe on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 8:30am-3:30 pm in the Worship Center. Stop by The Crossing to get tickets which are $15 or at the front desk during the week. Lunch will be provided & there is no childcare.

• SPECIAL CALLED BUSINESS MEETING Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 6pm in the Garden Room. For the purpose of voting on the revisions to the WCBC Constitution & By-Laws.
• SPAGHETTI SUPPER & AUCTION THIS FRIDAY, August 15th. Supper & Silent Auction begin at 5pm & the Live Auction begins at 6:45pm. -Supper tickets are on sale in The Crossing: $7.50 for adults & $5 for children. (register for childcare for babies-Gr.6 at [email protected] )
-Donation Form and Program Ad information is available in The Crossing. Donation & Ad deadline is WEDNESDAY.
-Bring your donations to the Worship Center no later than 4:30 pm on Wednesday.
