STEP 1: Application for attending the

competency course

Preset Conditions

(refer to each competency program for details on preset conditions for each program)

First Degree in relevant field; OR

Diploma in relevant field; OR

SPM with 3-5 years experience

STEP 2: Attending the competency course

(course and practical performance monitoring

(laboratory session) where applicable

At least 80% of attendance; AND

STEP 3: Complete and submit all assignments for

each course module

Note: A Competent Person will automatically be registered in the National Registry of Certified Environmental Professionals,NRCEP administered by EiMAS. The Competent Person’s name and particulars will be posted on NRCEP website athttp://eimas.doe.gov.my. The Competent Person needs to update his/her Continuing Professional Development, CPDinformation on the NRCEP of 50 CPD hours per year, in order to remain professionally competent.
