¿What is Fly Ash?

Much Long before cement was invented, it was observed that volcanic ash, when combined with lime, produced a very durable material. This material was used

to construct the Roman aqueducts and other structures of Roman origin that are still standing after more than 2,000 years. Our ancestors learned long ago what we recently have recreated, that is, a durable construction material of high performance.

Fly ash is one of the products resulting from burning mineral coal during generation of electricity. It consists of tiny spherical particles which chemically interact with hydrated lime from cement to produce cementitious compounds in what is known as a pozzolanic reaction.

IndustrIalIzed MortarsThe demands of modern day construction are not limited to quality and cost, since time can be a key issue and is considered by some to be one of the most important aspects of a project. During the construction process of a project there are several related stages that follow a strict and unalterable sequence that directly affects the amountof time required by a project, and as a consequence has a direct effect on the contractor’s costs. The process of plastering or as it is technically known mortar coating, of indoor and outdoor walls and ceilings, is one of the phases or stages previously mentioned.

There are two methods for preparing and applying the plaster mixture, the conventional method and the industrialized method. The industrialized method is relatively new in Occident, but it has been the principal method used in Europe by most contractors for several decades. This method accelerates the time it takes to prepare and apply the plaster mixtures making it 3 to 5 times faster than the conventional method, with a savings of up to 50% per square yard of applied plaster.

These pavers have a raised truncated surface readily detectable under foot, as well as by cane. BP Pro Joint Stabilizing Sealer is designed specifically for use on block paving to stabilize joint sand and seal the paver surface. It is water-based single component polymer that penetrates into the pores and seals the surface with a coating that gives you a natural looking satin sheen. Joint Stabilizing Sealer is a green product that is solvent free and environmentally friendly. It is VOC, EPA, OSHA and FDA compliant. It is non Hazardous and non-toxic and has the consistency of water. It is milky white with a slight odor when its liquid state and dries clear. BP pro wet Look is designed specifically for use on block paving to seal the paver surface and bond the joint sand. It is a solvent-based single component polymer that enhances your surface with a darkened wet look with a flat finish. WetLook is VOC compliant.
