Everyone in Christ has the ministry of reconciliation

2 Corinthians 5:17-18 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he

is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:

What is it?What does it mean for us?

that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf :Be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:19-20

Why the ministry of reconciliation?

What’s the “Therefore”there for?

For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. 2 Corinthians 5:14-15

Are we convinced enough to implore people on Christ’s behalf?

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf :Be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:19-20

Frontline Prayer for Grace to confess sins and humble

ourselves

Compassion and zeal for the flourishing of the church and reaching the lost

A yearning to know God, to see his face, to glimpse his glory

Is our God too small?

Will we prepare enough? 2 Kings 4:1-6

Will we persevere? 2 Kings 13:14-20

Do we believe God could plant ten new fellowships in Coventry by 2020?

Am I prepared to be an Ambassador reaching out to an alien culture?
