External communication of Dabbawalas Even though customers are growing, they have colorcoding system, which ensures that every Tiffin goes tocorrect person. A collecting dabbawalas, usually on bicycle collectsdabbas either from workers home or from the dabbamakers. Many of the carriers are illiterate, the dabbas have somesort of distinguishing marks on them such as a color or agroup of symbols. They have distributed their leaflets with Microsoft laptopsin Mumbai, offering mini discount offer for food delivery. Although no of transactions is large ,each personshandles a limited no of transactions at a time. 12. The grouped dabbas are put into thecoaches of the train with markings toidentify the destinations of the boxes. At each station, boxes are handedover to a local dabbawalas whodelivers them.
