The 2015 Aiken Challenge Series officially came to a close today at Highfields Event
Center as exhibitors enjoyed an early finish to the day and warm, sunny skies for barn
pack-up! We were happy to see lots of new faces this year in Aiken and hope that you
had an enjoyable show experience! Please feel free to email or call us with any questions
or comments regarding your show experience.

MAIN HUNTER RING
The Main Hunter Ring was our busiest ring on Sunday, starting with the
PESSOA/USEF Hunter Seat Medal & ASPCA Maclay. Emmy Reynolds took top call
in both classes over Darby Pease who took second in the USEF Medal and Megan
Rosenthal who took second in the Maclay. 3’3 Junior Hunters were next and Kylee
Buchholz won the first round with her mount Epic and Avery Lynch took the
second round with her mount Ledger. The Champion award went to Vegas with
owner Carson Powell and the Reserve Champion award went to Sophia with
Kendall Edwards. Megan Rosenthal and Little Manhatten topped both rounds in
3’6” Junior Hunters over Cameo Appearance with Madeleine Lohr and they took
the Champion and Reserve Champion awards. The $1,000 Junior Hunter Classic
was won by Ledger and Avery Lynch, Little Manhatten with Megan Rosenthal were
second and Cameo Appearance and Madeleine Lohr were third.
Ava and Kathryn Jarriel won the first round in Amateur Owner Hunters 3’6” over
Instantaneous and Amanda Hone who won the second round. Instantaneous was
the Champion and Ava was Reserve Champion. The first round in Amateur Owner
Hunter 3’3” was won by Ashley Hurteau with her mount Semper Fi and Victoria
Free was second with her mount A Step Above, but won the second round giving
them enough for the Champion award, and Semper Fi was the Reserve Champion.
The $1,000 Amateur Owner Hunter Classic was won by Sail On and Kimberley
Quinn, Trade Mark and Alexandra Dow were second and A Step Above with
Victoria Free was third.
Top call in the first round in Children’s Hunters went to Madison Imbus with Robb
Imbus’ Canadian Club over Bewitched with owner Nolan Thompson. Wat Tyler
with owner Sara Nason won the second round over Accomac with owner Ashlen
Row and the two also took the first and second place in the $1,000 WIHS/NAL
Children’s Hunter Classic.
The Adult Equitation and Hunter classes ended the day in the Main Ring. It was a
clean sweep for Megan Godard and Elizabeth Tarumianz’ Contemporary who won
all three classes and the pair also ended up with the Championship award as well as taking the top call in the $1,000 WIHS/NAL
Adult Hunter Classic. Reserve Champion in the Adult Hunters was Revilo with Cristen Sherrod. Caleigh Cianci was the Adult
Equitation Champion and Emily S. Rhodes was the Reserve.
DIETRICH DERBY FIELD
The March Madness II Finale Mini Prix was the featured event on the Dietrich
Derby Field on our final day of showing. A field of 9 competitors challenged
the course with Michael Walton taking the top prize with Mia Marano’s
Wodca (pictured by results) with an exciting finish, crossing the timers 4/100 of
a second faster than Christina Jason who took second place with Susan
Strecker’s Vancouver IV.
Rider Bonuses went out to Wodca with Michael Walton & Six Gun City with
Trina Green who had their entry fee paid for today’s mini prix for showing in
every Mini-Prix Class during the Aiken Challenge Series!

En Feugo with owner Mel Mueller won the Low Child/Adult Jumper class over
The Gardenlology Group’s Pinchona and Adair Roper. The Low Child/Adult
Jumper Classic was won by Nick Edmunds’ Noble Contessa with Caroline Faith
Kornegay, Cindy Wilberding took the second place with her mount Wow. En
Feugo was the Champion and Wow was Reserve Champion. In the High
Child/Adult Jumpers, Cora with owner Christina Couper won blue and took
second in the $1,500 WIHS/NAL High Child/Adult Jumper Classic to Casino
Royale with owner Sam Tetterton who also took the Champion award over Cora
who was Reserve Champion. Axiom and owner Rileigh Tibbott won the $1,500
Low Junior/Amateur Jumper Classic over Contango with owner Maddie
Wedderspoon. Contango was the Low Junior/Amateur Jumper Champion and
Keegan Rawls’ Habanera was the Reserve Champion. Anna Reising took the the
top call in the Pony Jumpers with Carolina Country Acres’ Blue Me Away over
Barn Gossip and owner Parker Walters.
HUNTER RING 2
The Green Pony Hunters were first up in Hunter Ring 2 on Sunday and started with
Sara Gates May winning the first round with her pony After Shock over Mischief
Maker and owner Clara Saad who won the second round. Foxlair Syncopation with
Kayla Jacobs was the Green Pony Hunter Champion and Finest Feather By Far with
Gigi Manigault was Reserve Champion.
The first round of Small Pony Hunters was won by Farnley Byron and Elizabeth
Cram over Penelope Cruisin’ and Madeline Rubin and Elizabeth Cram and Farnley
Byron won the second round over Victoria Haynes’ Our Song with Erica Felder,
giving the two enough for Champion and Reserve Champion respectively.
Dawson Amick and her pony Foxmor Starstruck won both rounds of Medium Pony
Hunters over Hannah Holik’s Rockport with Celia Cram in the first round and
Victoria Haynes’ Champlain Rowboat with Erica Felder in the second round. The
Champion award went to Foxmor Starstruck and owner Dawson Amick over
Rockport and Celia Cram who were Reserve Champion. Kayla Jacobs won the
WIHS Pony Medal aboard Mia Paletta’s large pony Mapleside Knight Spot for the
second week in a row. In the Large Pony Hunters, Bennett Bunn Plantation’s Mr.
Bojangles with Dawson Amick won both rounds. Mr. Bojangles was the Large Pony
Hunter Champion and Maple Side Knight Spot with Kayla Jacobs was the Reserve
Champion.
The $1,000 Pony Hunter Classic was won by Foxmor Starstruck with owner Dawson
Amick over I Candy with owner Elle Gibbs in second and Mr. Bojangles and rider
Dawson Amick in third.
Rollingwoods Unequaled and Victoria Kirby won the first round in Children’s Pony
Hunters and the second round blue went to Trey Prather’s Dyno B with Sydney
Burkle giving Rollingwoods Unequaled the Champion call and Dyno B the Reserve
Champion.
Bridesmaid and owner Zoe Phillips took a clean sweep of the Pre-Child/Adults today
winning the equitation round as well as both hunter rounds. Zoe Phillips took the
Championship calls in both the Equitation and Hunter Divisions with her mount
Bridesmaid over Timing with owner Grace Carew who were Reserve Champion in
both divisions.
