    1. Engineering Knowledge: Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an

    engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

    2. Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature and analyze complex engineering problems

    reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and

    engineering sciences.

    3. Design/Development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design

    system components or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public

    health and safety, cultural, societal and environmental considerations.

    4. Conduct investigations of complex problems : Using research based knowledge and research methods

    including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data and synthesis of information to

    provide valid conclusions.

    5. Modern Tool Usage : Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering

    and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of

    the limitations.

    6. The Engineer and Society: Apply reasoning informed by contextual knowledge to assess societal, health,

    safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to professional engineering


    7. Environment and Sustainability : Understand the impact of professional engineering solutions in societal

    and environmental context and demonstrate knowledge of and need for sustainable development.

    8. Ethics : Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of

    engineering practice.

    9. Individual and Team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse

    teams and in multi disciplinary settings.

    10. Communication : Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering

    community and with society at large, such as being able to comprehend and write effective reports and

    design documentation, make effective presentations and give and receive clear instructions.

    India is going to be the preferred investment destination of the world and as per recent financial surveys is likely to become worlds leading economy

    surpassing USA and China by the year 2040. To

    keep up with our vision Thakur College of Engineering

    and Technology (TCET) was established in the year

    2001 to create the competent technology workforce

    catering to the nations demand.

    I am proud that Thakur College of Engineering and

    Technology is playing a significant role in shaping

    the destiny of the nation through innovative teaching

    methods since its inception and has made its mark

    on the nation by offering the right academic ambience

    for value based higher education and state-of-the-art

    infrastructural facilities of international standards. All

    this reflects in our consistent excellence in academic

    results in university examination, active participation

    of our students in state and national level events, our

    competitive placement record, mutually beneficially

    industry-institute tie-ups, and worthy recognitions

    from the outside world.

    It is a proud moment for TCET to see the result of the

    fruition of hard work of all the stakeholders in Degree

    campus. On this propitious occasion, I am confident

    Engineering education plays a vital role in the economic development and brings about transformation in any society. Looking at the nations

    need of quality technical workforce, in the year 2001,

    Thakur College of Engineering & Technology (TCET)

    was established with a clear objective to provide

    quality technical education to aspiring students.

    To ensure quality, TCET provides right academic

    ambience with motivated team of teachers and state-

    of-the-art-infrastructure. Quality education is also

    ensured through stringent quality measures like ISO,

    NBA accreditation, etc. Frequent industry institute

    interactions are encouraged through symposia,

    seminars and workshops. All these efforts result

    in building of career as well as character of every

    individual who becomes a part of TCET.

    To celebrate the graduation day at the same campus

    is a nice initiative taken by University of Mumbai.

    Culmination of educational journey of students is

    witnessed in Degree Certificate Distribution Ceremony

    which is the upshot of hard work put in by students,

    teachers and the timely support by all the stakeholders.

    Passing out of College is an important milestone in a persons life. Till today you were a student of this great Institution. From tomorrow you become

    its Alumini. The world has changed enormously since

    the time I passed out of College. Microsoft, Google

    and Apple have brought in a Technological revolution,

    which could not have been imagined 25 years ago. I will

    repeat what Steve Jobs said to students of Stanfort

    University in his Graduation Address. Your time is

    limited. So dont waste it living someone elses life.
