ndAPRIL2019:
New session commenced.
8th
APRIL 2019:
Orientation programme was held for classes LKG to II in the evening from 4:30pm to 6pm
the venue was main wing auditorium. Parents in large numbers attended the program and
expressed their views about their experience in DPS Primary Wing. The parents were very
appreciative about the activity oriented teaching in the school and the morning assembly.
The programme was conducted by Mrs Abha Choubey ( I/C PW) through an attractive and
well presented Power Point Presentation.
22nd
APRIL2019: Earth Day was celebrated in the morning Assembly .Little children of
LKG and Prep had put up a special assembly to mark the day. The little children focussed on
how to save water, plant more trees and keep the rivers clean to save our environment.
25th
APRIL2019:
Book Day was held. The children were told about the importance of reading books.
Scholastic Books exhibition was held in main wing to mark the day. Children of LKG and
Prep were taken out of the four walls of the classroom for the games activity “Simon Says”.
26 APRIL 2019:
Children of Class I and II enjoyed playing “Duck Duck Goose”game. From this type of
collaborativee game the child learns to encourage others and to work in co-operation .

CLASS- LKG:
ENGLISH:
The children enjoyed learning the value “Honesty Is the Best Policy”- through Role Play
HINDI:
The children enjoyed learning Swar and Vyanjans through an activity- “ Akshar Ki Bodh”.
MATHS
The children learnt counting of numbers through beads.
CLASS - PREP
ENGLISH
The children enjoyed learning sounds of letters through Phonetics.
HINDI
The children identified Swar and Vyanjans from the mixed bag and arranged them in order.
MATHS
The children learnt the concept of what comes after? Through a flash card activity.
EVS
The students rejoiced performing activity based on categorising things that should /should not
be taken to school.
CLASS – I
ENGLISH & HINDI:
Children learnt opposites through Flash cards. Students enjoyed enacting Hindi poem “Aam
Ki Tokri”
MATHS
The children were thrilled to make a big picture using cut outs of different shapes.
EVS:
Children learnt to label the body parts.
CLASS – II
ENGLISH:
“Hop and Jump” activity was done to differentiate Questions from Statements.
HINDI
Importance of animals which carry load was taught through an activity.
MATHS
“Guess and Tell” activity was done to learn how to identify objects that can roll or slide.
EVS:
The children planted the seeds of gram and observed the germination of seed.

CLASSES III TO V 02
ND APRIL, 2019:
The new academic session began w.e.f 02nd April, 2019. Special assembly was presented by
class IV A, B & C classes of 2018-19 on the topic Pulwama Attack. CRPF Jawans, CISF
Commandant and parents were the special invitees of this occasion. The students exhibited
their emotions and respect for our soldiers through skit, dance, poem, speech. It was a very
touching moment for all of us. The soldiers those who laid their lives serving the Nation were
paid homage on this auspicious occasion. The performance of the students was praised by
one and all. It was indeed a memorable moment for all of us.
Many students of DPS Vindhyanagar had taken part in the All India Handwriting Olympiad
conducted by AIHC, Pune. The result of the competition is as given below:

APRIL, 2019: The special assembly of the session 2019-20 began w.e.f. 12th April, 2018-19. Class V-D
was the first class to conduct the assembly. The students of class V-D presented a wonderful
assembly on the topic, SAVE WATER, SAVE LIFE. The same is a mission of DPS
Vindhyanagar for the session 2019-20. It was indeed a fabulous assembly with inspiring
messages to save water. The students gave the message, through song, dance, speech, skit and
quiz. They poured out their feelings and emotions through various activities. A wonderful
PPT on was also shown to inspire all the audience to Save Water. The assembly was
encouraging, inspiring, educative and informative. It was appreciated by one and all.
14TH
APRIL, 2019:
On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti wonderful cultural performances were put up by our
school students in Maitri Sabhagar, NTPC Vindhyachal depicting the life of Dr. B. R.
Ambedkar. The programme was appreciated by one and all. In the same programme the prize
winners of various competitions were given away. The students of classes III-V who got
prizes for the drawing painting competition are :

Inter House Hindi Speech was conducted on 20th
April, 2019 for the classes III- V on the
topic - Gandhian values. The students gave a wonderful performance. The speeches left the
indelible impression on the minds of many. Every child delivered a unique speech. It was a

APRIL, 2019-: A Special Assembly was conducted by students of English Department. It was indeed a well
thought and exemplary performance by the students. They had earn a lot of appreciation
through their wonderful skit, dance, speech, quiz, group song, etc. It was appreciated by one
and all.

APRIL, 2019-:
Mr. Ajay Chaubey, PRT of our school received 2nd
prize for Suggestions and Slogan Writing
Compt. conducted by Environment Management Group, NTPC Vindhyachal on the occasion
of OZONE DAY conducted for school teachers of Vindhyanagar. He had received first prize
in Suggestions Writing and Slogan Writing Competition in the competitions held on the
occasion of Environment Day on the topic – Say No to Plastic conducted for school teachers
in June, 2018.
23RD
APRIL, 2019: Special Assembly was conducted by Ganges House. It was a fabulous Assembly in which the
students presented wonderful thought, song, and skit covering the topics such as Earth Day,
Book Day and Importance of Voting. Assembly was fabulously conducted and well
exhibited with all sorts of relevant elements to encourage the student to love reading books,
save environment. A strong message was given through PPT and song to vote first, leaving
all the work to strengthen the democracy of our country. It was indeed a wonderful assembly.
SPELL BEE COMPETITION (2018-19):
The result of prestigious SPELL BEE Competitions was declared. The students of DPS
Vindhyanagar had performed fabulously and emerged as winners. They received wonderful

APRIL, 2019: District Magistrate and District Election officer of Singrauli had organised various
competitions at District Level for two days i.e.23rd
and 24th April, 2019 on the occasion of
“Matdan Mahtosav: DPS Vindhyanagar emerged winner in almost all the categories. The
prizes and certificates were distributed on 25th April, 2019. The results were as follows:
1) Solo Song – Prapti Gupta - 1st Position in Solo Song – DPS Vindhyanagar
2) Group Song – 1st Position – DPS Vindhyanagar
3) Solo Dance- 1st Position Jitisha Parihar – DPS Vindhyanagar

It was a pride moment for all of us. Our students proved once again that they are the best in
Singrauli and in Urjanchal and DPS Vindhyanagar is the best school in this area.
26TH
APRIL, 2019:
Class V-C presented a wonderful assembly on the topic Earth Day. The students. It was truly
inspiring and motivating for the students. The students through their various activities such as
thought, speech, skit, poem, etc. elucidated the importance of environment, earth and nature.
It was vibrant and elating assembly which was cherished by one and all.
In the same assembly Dr. Janardan Pandey, Principal of DPS Vindhyanagar received a
trophy and a school certificated from the Silver Zone for the fabulous performances of the
students in various Olympiads. The Principal Sir expressed that students have always been
the strength of the school and DPS Vindhyanagar is fortunate to have a so multi-talented
students and teachers. It was indeed a pride moment for the school.
ON 26TH
APRIL, 2019: Oath Taking Ceremony of Jr. Student Council was held. The proud parents of the selected Jr.
Student Council Members also witnessed and cherished moments. It was indeed a proud
moment for them. The Principal of the school administered the oath, presented a sash and
badge to the students and made them aware of their duties. The students were very happy to
get coveted posts of Headgirl/ Headboy, Activity Conveners, Discipline Prefects & Sports
Captain.
One of the students of class III made us proud in the session 2018-19, he had performed well
in all the Olympiads conducted by Science Olympiad Foundation and Silver Zone. Master
Ishan Snehi of class III is only one student in the state and also in the country to achieve this
milestone. The details about the competition and awards received by him are as follows:

2ND APRIL, 2019-SCHOOL RE-OPENS:-
A new start, a new beginning ,a more exciting one than the past, a new class and of course a
new Class Teacher .The special assembly by seniors added flavour to the special first day of
the session 2019-20.The teachers resumed to their duties according to the new time-table. Al
together , it was a BLESSED day.
3rd APRIL, 2019-SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON PULWAMA ATTACK:
Students presented this assembly as a mark of respect for the ARMY and dedicated to the
martyred soldiers. Tears ran down the cheeks of many in the audience as the scenes were
enacted and students and all present could feel the emotional touch that it spread.
10th APRIL, 2019-ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR PARENTS:
Parents appeared in good number for the Orientation Programme which apprises them of the
curriculum of the school. Teacher’s participation made it more interesting as they spoke of
the USP of the school. The exam, the do’s and don’t for the students, the discipline and
innovations in areas. Competitive exams and achievements etc. Parents' queries were
answered too. It was for two hours (4.00p.m. to 6.00p.m)
14TH APRIL 2019- AMBEDKAR JAYANTI CELEBRATION:
Super dancers of DPS (V) presented a mesmerizing dance –drama titled ‘MAHATMA
GAUTAM BUDDHA AND HIS TEACHINGS. 40 students participated in it and the entire
programme kept the audience glued to it. The soulful performance of many in the play was
much appreciated by the crowd as the sound of claps echoed the auditorium.
15TH APRIL, 2019-PAINTING COMPETITION TOPIC –LOK SABHA ELECTION:
Around 100 students participated in the painting competition held by an outside team on the
topic –LOK SABHA ELECTION, VENUE – VEWA CLUB. Their ideas and imagination
held their brushes and they were able to present their best drawings much to the appreciation
of one and all present there. Prizes are yet to be announced
16TH APRIL, 2019-CISF DEMONSTRATION:
Members from CISF Department conducted a workshop and brought about awareness among
the students and staff of fire mishaps and methods to control it. It was an interesting session
and students and teachers participated in the demonstrations made to control fire. Students
enthusiastically answered the queries made by officials who visited the school and they
appreciated their knowledge about it.
18TH APRIL.2019-ESSAY COMPETITION (FIRE SAFETY):
Dipsites appeared enthusiastically for the essay competition conducted by CISF. Many made
us proud by their commendable note and won prizes.
20TH APRIL, 2019-INTER-HOUSE SOLO SINGING COMPETITION:
Each House selected its best melodious singers for the competition which was held on 20th
APRIL. It was a blend of classical, folk and national and the selected songs were sung
beautifully by the students. Certificates were awarded to the really deserving ones and the
entire programme was appreciated by one and all.

22ND APRIL, 19-SPECIAL ASSEMBLY (ENGLISH):
The English faculty of DPS (V) presented a programme entirely based on LITERATURE-
PROSE ,POETRY AND PLAY. Interesting speeches from well known plays, PPT
comprising the various periods, famous writers, cotemporary poets and authors etc. made the
audience aware of the literary ocean that exists besides the little that they study in their
course.Action song on ‘SAVE EARTH ‘ was a surprising item.
23RD APRIL, 2019- SPECIAL ASSEMBLY BY GANGES HOUSE:
A spectacular morning assembly was prepared and presented by students of GANGES
HOUSE on the topics –BOOK DAY and LOK SABHA ELECTION. It was a complete
package of skits, speeches, song, PPT etc. which held the entire audience attention and also it
enhanced their knowledge about it.It provided a way to arouse interest in book reading too.
CASH AWARDEES:
DIPSITES were awarded with cash for their outstanding performances in SHISHIR MELA,
PR MEET and by the Director (NTPC, VINDHYACHAL) on his visit to Vindhyanagar.

23RDAPRIL,2019-CULTURAL PROGRAMME FOR LOK SABHA ELECTION
INTER SCHOOL COMPETITION was held to mark the LOK SABHA ELECTIONS ,
COLLECTOR (SINGRAULI) BEING THE CHIEF GUEST. Students were invited from
various schools and each of them gave their best. Once again our graceful dancers
performance was appreciated and brought prizes home. Group Dance was awarded the third
prize and JITISHA PARIHAR of Class VIIIB won First prize in solo dance.
SOF AND SILVER ZONE COMPETITIVE EXAMS
Dipsites enthusiastically participated in the above mentioned competitive exams held in the
session (2018-19) and made us all proud .Their results were outstanding for many and
excellent for a few. These competitors have definitely raised the standard of the school to

The new session commenced on 3rd of April and it cradled a heave of activities.
5.4.19 - SPECIAL ASSEMBLY:
The student Council conducted a special assembly to tribute to the sacrifice of soldiers in
Pulwama attack. The skit presented by class 12th students moved everybody to tears.
6.4.19 _ HOUSE MEETING :
House meeting was held so that all the house masters could interact with their students and
plan the forthcoming events accordingly.
9.4.19- SPECIAL ASSEMBLY:
Chenab House, as per schedule conducted its Assembly on the topic - Importance of festivals.
11.4.19 - ORIENTATION PROGRAM FOR CLASSES 9-10:
The school invited parents along with their wards to be active participants of the program.
Motto of the school, information about the faculties, examination pattern, co - curricular
activities, house system, school's expectations from Dipsites and query session were the
indispensable part of the program. The Principal, Dr Janardan Pandey addressed the session
and ensured the parents for the wholesome development of their wards.
16.4.19- FIRE SAFETY DEMONSTRATION:
The CISF team did a demonstration about how to extinguish fire in emergency.
18.4.19 - ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION:
To spread awareness about the importance of knowing the ways to prevent the cases of fire
accidents, The CISF, NTPC Vindhyachal conducted the competition on the topic '
Prevention is better than fighting the fire '
22.4.19- SPECIAL ASSEMBLY OF ENGLISH:
This assembly was conducted on behalf of English Department about the manifestations of
language. The classes 9-10 anchored the Assembly and made it up to the mark of thunderous
applause.
23.4.19- SPECIAL ASSEMBLY & YOUTH FEST ORGANIZED BY CEO MP
ELECTION :
As per the schedule, Ganges house conducted a special assembly on importance of election
along with celebration of book day. A trove of activities was commenced by CEO M.P
Government to promote 100 % voting. It included: extempore, quiz, group dance, solo dance,
group song, solo song, rangoli and mehandi competitions. These are following results:

To promote awareness and concern towards environment, the NTPC organized various
competitions under 7 categories. For classes 9-12 the following competitions were scheduled:
Slogan Writing, 5 suggestions to save environment, the same competitions for teachers also.
The result is still awaited.
The school conducted an Inter House Wall Magazine Competition. The theme was 'Present
Political scenario in India’. The result is still awaited.
