PROGRESS REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF July 2019– 2020 JULY-2019

CLASSES LKG – II

2nd JULY 2019: Skill Tests for E-I commenced in all the classes.

4thJULY 2019: Skill Tests concluded.

10thJULY 2019: Bid farewell to Mrs. Mridula Jaiswal , who was a very senior PGT of

Sanskrit.

11thJULY 2019: Bid farewell to Mrs. Mokouli Sinha(PRT) and Mrs. Nidhi

Kushwaha(PRT) who also rendered their dedicated services to the school.

15thJULY 2019: Evaluation –I commenced.

22nd JULY 2019: Evaluation –I concluded.Teachers training programme by Extra marks

wa conducted.

24thJULY 2019: Regular classes resumed.

27thJULY 2019: Result discussion with the Principal was held from 4pm -5 pm.

31st JULY 2019: For some thrill and excitement children were taken out in the open to

play games. The tiny tots of LKG and PREP enjoyed playing the guessing game “Animal

Charades and Classes I & II had a joyful time playing the group game “Catch The Dragon’s

tail.”

Parent-Teacher meeting was organized and the parents were shown the answer scripts of their

wards.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH: All Display boards were remade by the teachers with the help of children.The children

enjoyed an engaging , energising and entertaining learning experience.The reception area was

re-decorated and given a new look by the Art Teacher with the able guidance of the I/C P.W.

GENERAL AWARENESS The children enjoyed doing the activity on “Seasonal Fruits”

CLASS– PREP

MATHS The children enjoyed the experience of learning Ordinal numbers through an activity “Race of Ordinal numbers.”

CLASS– I

ENGLISH The students rejoiced enacting the story of “Mittu and the yellow mango” through role play .

HINDI

The children made merry learning “Rasoighar” Kavita by bringing Rasoighar to their

classroom.

MATHS

The children rejoicedrunning “Bal Superfast Express” in order to learn Subtraction.

CLASS II

ENGLISH The children were delighted by doing the activity “Self Portrait with awesome adjectives.”

EVS The children enjoyed making their own paper houseboats in their scrapbook.

CLASSES III TO V

6th July, 2019 : On 6th July, 2019 Inter House Chess Competition was conducted. The students

showed their prowess and skills of chess and gave their best. The result of the

12th July, 2019 : On 12

th July, 2019 , a fabulous and wonderful school assembly was put up by class

V-B on the topic “YOGA”. It was truly inspiring and motivating for the students. The

students through their various activities such as thought, speech, skit, poem, etc.

elucidated the true meaning of yoga and inspired all to make yoga as a part of their

life. It was vibrant and elating assembly which was cherished by one and all.

26th July, 2019 : On 26th July, 2019 , to celebrate the Earth Day a very inspiring and wonderful

school assembly was conducted by class V-C. It was captivating show which ended

with a beautiful message and urge to save environment and mother earth. The students

presented skit, song, poem, thought, etc. giving messages to save mother earth. The

power point presented by the students kept all pondering about the environment

disasters and the consequences of the same. It was quite fruitful and inspiring

assembly which was praised by one and all.

27th July, 2019 : On 27th July, 2019 Inter House Yoga competition for the boys of classes III-V was

conducted. It was a very interesting and innovative competition in which students

took part actively. The result of the competition is as given below:

REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF JULY’19

VI-VIII

1ST JULY’19- SWATCHH VIDHYALAYA FELICITATION: DPS(V) once again bagged the first prize in the Swatchh Vidhyalaya section of

Singrauli Region Swatchh Sarvekshan. The school was felicitated in the presence of

Collector , Mayor and other dignitaries of Singrauli District and it was really a proud

moment .The school’s swatch h team promises to continue the good work and win

laurels for the school in the future too.

2nd JULY-19-MANDIR CLEANING(4.00P.M.to 5.00P.M.): Dipsites and few assigned teachers enthusiastically volunteered to spend an hour in

cleaning the nearby Mandir as a part of SWATCHH SUMMER PROJECT. Assuredly it was a

blessed task and they even expressed their in doing that work of sweeping ,moping and

dusting the site.

3Rd JULY’19- NUKKAD NATAK IN HOSPITAL(5-00P.M to 6.00P.M): Students presented a Nukkad Natak in Hindi on ‘CLEANLINESS AND HEALTHY LIVING’.A

team of teachers accompanied them and in the presence of doctors, hospital staff

parents, patients and others ,the students enacted an excellently expressed the need to

maintain clean surroundings in order to curb various diseases and sicknesses.It was

much appreciated by one and all.

16TH JULY’19- 23Rd JULY’19- PERIODIC TEST 1 CONDUCTED AND PTM HELD Students appeared for the first exam of the session and have been adjudged to have

performed well. A fortnight of JULY ’19 passed in Exams and result. Parents response in

PTM was good too.

27TH JULY’19-INTER-HOUSE CHESS COMPETITION A neck to neck competition was held between the participants. They played with all

their intelligence in their moves and finally Ravi House participants used their sense ,

consistency and will to come out as winners .

IX-XII

6.7.2019 : I/H Group Fusion Dance Competition: An Inter House Group Fusion dance Competition was held on the theme of 'Patriotism'

common for all the houses. The result of the competition was as following :

First rank grabbed by Jhelum House and Yamuna House was declared runner up.

9.7.19: Special Assembly: Special Assembly by Sanskrit Department was conducted by the concerned department.

The global significance of the language was detailed out through speeches, skit and quiz

session. 16.7.19 - 23.7.19: Pre Mid Term examination was conducted for classes IX to XII

and its answer script verification was done on 31.7.19.

24.7.19: Workshop: A workshop by NTPC was conducted regarding internet threats. It spoke about the

different ways how e. mails are hacked and can cause various security problems.

27 C.7.19 : Greeting card Competition: An Open Class wise Competition was held for the students of classes IX to XII. The

themes of the cards included Good Luck, Welcome, Thanks Giving etc.

Special Achievement : Vishnu Prasad Rai, a DPS prodigy, brought laurels to the school by securing 2nd rank in

the entrance examination of Jawahar Lal Nehru University.
