CLASSES LKG- II

5th

SEPTEMBER2018: Teacher’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The

programme conducted by the senior students was well co-ordinated and well presented,

involving all the talented students of the school. The PPT presented by the school student

council members was also a great tribute to all the teachers.

SEPTEMBER 2018: Workshop on Disaster Management was conducted in the main

wing by Gerard A Pereira of McMilan Publisher.

SEPTEMBER 2018: Evaluation II commenced.

12th

SEPTEMBER 2018: Evaluation II concluded.

20th

SEPTEMBER 2018: All the children enjoyed playing the games Red light, Green light

and Dodge the ball outside away from the four walls of their class room.

25th

SEPTEMBER2018: Result discussion of Evaluation II was done with Principal Sir.

28th

SEPTEMBER 2018: Hindi recitation competition was held. It was conducted in two

rounds. The first round was open to all, in which about 200 children participated. On the

basis of 1st round first five children were selected from each section by the Class Teachers

and the children appeared for the 2nd

round of the competition. There was a wonderful

rendition of poems with remarkable messages such as “Clean Is Green”, “Love Your

Country” and “BetiBachaoBetiPadhao”.

29th

SEPTEMBER 2018:‘OPEN DAY’ was held. The parents visited the school for E-II

Answer script verification of their wards.

The children enjoyed doing this activity “Fun With Vowels.”

MATHS

The children played the game of Treasure Hunt and hunted letters to form number names.

HINDI

The children learnt how to take care of their health during Rainy Season through an activity.

CLASS-PREP

ENGLISH

The children enjoyed learning tricky words by doing “Tricky Words” activity.

HINDI

‘Ball Ghumao Parchi Uthao’ activity was held to teach recognition and correct

pronunciation of different Matras.

MATHS

The children enjoyed making shapes with different kinds of leaves.

EVS

The Children enjoyed learning names of wild, domestic and pet animals by way of story.

CLASS-I

ENGLISH

Concept of doing words was taught by play way method using Flash cards.

HINDI

‘Visheshan’ was taught through an activity in which the children were shown beautiful

objects and they had to describe the same using a visheshan.

MATHS

The childrenlearnt to categorize various objects under the heading taller, shorter, lighter and

heavier, thicker and thinner.

EVS

The children enjoyed visiting different areas of school and named the same.

CLASS-II

ENGLISH

The children enjoyed playing ‘Dumb Charades’ to learn action words.

HINDI

Herbarium of different types of flowers was made.

MATHS

The children enjoyed learning Hundreds, Tens and Ones using Flash Cards.

EVS

The children learnt germination of seeds by actually growing seeds.

CLASSES III TO V 22

nd September, 2018:

After the exams of class III-V, Talent Show competition was held and the students

participated in this competition enthusiastically and great excitement. It was a fabulous

competition where the students exhibited their talents. Some of them played music on

instruments whereas some the students sang melodiously, some acted, some performed magic

show and various other performance enthralled the audience. The competition was

mesmerizing and it was thoroughly enjoyed by one and all. The result of the competition is as

24 September, 2018: A food show was organized by class III-A and III-B. The tiny Chefs had prepared a lot of

delicious and yummy food items. It was a very well organized. The food show was a new

concept which was praised and appreciated by the Principal, Parents and Teachers. They

budding students relished the delicious food items. It was memorable show for them.

27th

September, 2018 : Mass PT was conducted for students of classes III-VIII. The students performed various

exercises to keep them fit and fine. A healthy mind lives in a healthy body inculcating this

thought in them, DPS Vindhyanagar comes with new exercises and health tips for the

students every week.

28th

September, 2018:

A wonderful Assembly was conducted by class III-B giving the message that we should

minimize the use of mobile, laptop and computer to keep ourselves fit and healthy. It was

wonderful and mesmerizing assembly. The students exhibited their talent through song,

dance, skit, speech, etc and it was appreciated by one and all present in the auditorium.

30th

September, 2018:

PTM for classes III-XII for E2, Half Yearly and Periodic Test was conducted. The Parents

were apprised with the performance of the students and answer scripts were given away to

them so that they can go through the mistakes of their wards.

to Sept 14th

– HINDI PAKHWADA (HINDI RAJBHASHA PAKSHA 2018):

NTPC conducted Hindi Pakhwada for upholding the language in the present scenario and

besides our busy schedule of Half-Yearly/Mid-Term Exams; our enthusiastic students

participated in the various competitions and won accolades for the school. Around 50 to 60

students took part in each of them. They really deserve a pat on their back.

Teacher’s Day Celebration:

Teacher’s Day was auspiciously celebrated by DPSV as it marks the birth anniversary of Dr.

Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a great teacher, philosopher and guide. Students extended their

love and gratitude by putting up a grand show and the school gifted the teachers with a token

of love. Plantation held an important position and aloevera its place.

Sept. ’1st to Sept.’15 - SWACHHATA PAKHWADA CELEBRATION:

As per the circular sent by CBSE, DPSV conducted SWACHHATA PAKHWADA

enthusiastically and sensitised one and all about cleanliness, personal hygiene, community

services and green-drive. It was overwhelming to watch all work as a team. Swachhata

Shapath Day, Swachhata Awareness in Community, Personal Hygiene Day , Hand Wash Day

etc. were some of them celebrated and competitions were held like letter writing, slogan

writing, poster making and recitation on Swachhata. Students were awarded with certificates

and chocolates. The PTA MEMBER, parents and community were a part of the move and it

was appreciated.

2018 - Half-Yearly Exam:

The school conducted half-yearly exams during this period. Teachers and students passed

through a tight schedule preparing both for exams, Swachhata work and Hindi Pakhwada.

PTM was held on 29th of Sept.’ 18 and parents response was good.

Sept.’16th

– INTERNATIONAL OZONE DAY:

NTPC,VINDYACHAL observed this day to sensitise all about the depletion of ozone layer

and suggested for entries through slogan writings ,suggestions and painting competitions .Our

dipsites who are ready to grab opportunities participated and exposed their skills and talent

thoroughly. 50 to 60 students participated in painting competition and teachers also sent their

suggestions. Anticipating for its results.

Sept.’17 to Sept’ 19 2018-Work Shop on Capacity Building at D. P. S. Dwarka: Mrs Ritu Shrivastav attended the workshop on ' CAPACITY BUILDING' at Dwarka. It was

an enriching and skill based one, for Middle School teachers. An innovative method of

teaching and learning and various techniques to be followed by students was presented

meticulously by distinguished guests. It seemed a faculty of galaxy of intellectuals sharing

ideas.

Sept.’22nd

- INTER–HOUSE KABADDI COMPETITION:

Each house selected its best players and entered the competition. It was a feast for the eyes to

watch the players fight with readiness. Their Kabaddi skills could well be exposed and all got

an opportunity to learn more from the other. Outstanding performance was made by RAVI

HOUSE which also was the WINNER and CHENAB HOUSE, THE RUNNERS-UP.

CONGRATULATIONS to the winners and good wishes to all participants.

Sept.’25

th - SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON PANDIT DEEN DAYAL UPADHYAY:

The assembly focused on the life of Shri. Deen Dayal Upadhyay, thinker and co-founder of

Bharatiya Jana Sangh. His works left an impression on the students who had not much

knowledge of this personality. His selfless activities and political interests were well

presented by the students in the form of quiz, speech and skit etc.

CLASSES Ix TO xii 5.9.18- Teacher's Day:

Teacher's Day celebrated every year as Dr. Radha Krishnan's birthday, started with floral

tribute to the legend. Subsequently the senior students presenting themselves in the role

model of Principal and Teachers conducted Special Assembly of the day.

07.9.2018- Workshop arranged by Macmillan Publishers:

Mr. Grerard Pereira conducted workshop on “Disaster Management” which had a

material to focus upon. The audio visuals based upon calamity control and precautions and

protection interested the staff and there was much to know which could be used in classroom

teaching too. It was indeed a thought provoking workshop.

07.09.18 Workshop on 'Teaching Economics in the Changing world date: Mr. Dayanidhi Tripathi attended an enrichment program scheduled by DPS Society for

upgrading the teachers as per to the pace of fast inducting teaching improvements on.

Mid Term & Half Yearly Examination (8.9.18 - 19.9 18):

Examination for classes 9-10 & 11-12th) commenced and students inexorably put up their

hard work to beef up their academic grades.

10.09.2018-12.09.2018-Workshop on Hindi in the age of Media and Information

Technology:

Mr. Rahul Dwivedi, TGT (Hindi) attended workshop held at HRD Centre Dwarka, Dwarka,

New Delhi on Hindi in the age of Media and Information Technology. It was absolutely

informative and value based for the modern scenario and enriched the faculty present there. It

gave all an extremely fascinating experience as it also dealt with Information and

technological developments in India and abroad in relation to teaching in school.

01.09.2018 TO 15.09.2018 ‘ Swacchata Hi Seva Campaign by CISF’:

CISF officials assigned their cadets in cleanliness drive in and around Vindhyanagar,

especially the DPSV campus. Their dedicative skilful work was well observed and the

teachers and students got an opportunity to learn much from the service rendered by the

security forces who worked for 2-3 hours beside their busy schedule of duties.

17 .8. 18 - Vishwakarma Pooja:

The ritual to worship Lord Vishwakarma was performed by Shri. V. Kumar, (HOD)

Computer Department under the supervision of Dr. Janardan Pandey.

18.9.18 - PRMO Result:

PRMO Result was declared on 16.9.18 and school confirmed the list of 19 qualified students.

The school was privileged and felt proud of the achievement.

22.9.18 - Badminton Tournament:

Inter house Badminton Tournament was held house wise and the result was as following:

25.9.18 - Special Assembly:

Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay's birth anniversary was celebrated starting from floral tribute to

quiz session. PPT shown on the life achievement of Pandit Ji was substantially informative

and inspirational.

26.9.18 National Talent Search Examination:

On 13 the September , second round of the examination was conducted in Bhopal , in which

Mayukh Biswas brought glory to the school by bagging second position on National level.

29.9.18 PTM:

After Mid Term and Half Yearly Examination PTM was conducted for the discussion of

students' academic performance. We are proud to say that school keeps pulling off to newer

heights under the potential leadership of Dr. Janardan Pandey and enriching guidelines of

DPS Society.
