About us

We set up our ownbusiness in 2004,known as J A CJoinery, we had asmall workshop andnot many machines,within 5 years weasked the landlordwhether he wouldextend the smallworkshop so in 2009we doubled in size. In 2012 it was clearwe had to expand thebusiness again so in2014 we moved to aworkshop overdouble the size, webecame limited andknown as DesignerCreations and openedour very firstshowroom.

Designer Creations News

Mini Moderns Fabrics and wallpaper sample booksare now in stock. They are quirky andfun, we love them so much we thoughtyou might like them too!

Mini Moderns was launched in 2006by London based designers, KeithStephenson and Mark Hampshire,they are an interiors brand specialisingin applied pattern across a range ofproducts including wallpapers, fabrics,cushions, rugs and ceramics.

All Mini Moderns wallpapers, fabrics,cushions, tea towels and bags are madein the UK.

Come and have a look at what theyhave to offer over a cuppa.


Courses at Learn Woodworkingin April

We have only two courses on offer thismonth. The power tools course 11thApril and the tool sharpening courseon the 12th April.

Power tool course is primarily forpeople who want to learn how to usepower tools such as routers, jigsaws,sanders and drills safely. Its a one daycourse which runs from 10am - 4pm.

The cost of the course is £60 perstudent, you are welcome to bringalong your own power tools to learnwith.

The other course running in April isthe Tool sharpening course again a oneday course.

Learn how to sharpen all yourwoodworking tools, such as chisels andplanes, bring along your own tools andyou can learn how to keep them sharpusing a water, oil or diamond stone.

This Course runs from 10am- 4pm andis £96 per student.

Coming in May

Basic skills course £150two day course. 2-3 May

Make a workbench £300three day course.23-25th May


Learn how to use the new sparkly waxes, Terrapieno( a 3Dembossing paste), Art medium (transfer images)and all of

Autentico's fantastic range of paint and paint effects.

We run workshops showing you all the tips and techniquesfor you to transform unloved furniture and turn them in to

chic or shabby chic pieces of furniture.

Project of the monthGreen oak garage completed by designer Creations

recently. Two sets of solid oak double garage doors. Oak boarding and a tiled roof with reclaimed tiles.

The Clock tower people supplied the tower anddoesn't it look splendid? Even if we do say

ourselves.

After the success of the egg skelter atDesigner Creations, we are nowstocking the Fruit Skelter.

An attractive yet practical way to storeyour fruit. Bananas or grapes can behung from the top hook, but this can beremoved and a handle replaces it if youdon't want the hanging part. All partscome in the pack.
