Concept: Sepulch ral Void
The concept behind this sm all , rather unu sual but chall engin g project was the creation of a simple, restrained and mini mal isticarchi tectural object that, apart from contain ing the basic program presented by the client (capacity for 8 coffin s), play ing in adigni fied way its role as a tribu te to the memory and integra ting i tself in th e cemetery, woul d interact directly with the im pressivesurr oundin g mountai n l andscape (without blocking its vi ew), by literal ly fram ing it, in order to use the moment of its qui et
contemplation as a transm ission vehicle for transcendental commu nicati on between the livi ng an d missi ng ones.
In the a pproach to this concept two specific moments of the tomb use wh ere taking into accoun t Duri ng the fu neral ceremony, h ow woul d this ri tual take place and how woul d a coffin be handled, in other words, how woul d the farewell take place? An d durin g asporadic vi sit of a fam il y m ember or a friend to the site, how to create the ideal conditions for a comfortable spiritu al recoll ection?

Inside, details li ke a cross cutted on th e ceiling and a flower deposit i ntegrated on th e bench reinforce the obvious sym bolic meani ng of thi s object.
Constru ctiv e Process
The idea behind th e constru ction of this tomb consis ted on th e full assembli ng of its pre-fab metal stru cture in a factory, formed by steel profiles, tubes and rods (as well a s all its stain less steel surfa ces), in order to assu re righ t from th e start a greater precision in itsexecution.
