Duratray has been awarded a contract to manufacture and assemble on site 6 units of Suspended Dump Bodies for Caterpillar 789C rear dump trucks.

With extensive experience designing this unique type of tray for a wide variety of applications, the new SDBs will be operating at one of the largest gold mines in Central Asia, Kumtor Gold open cut mine, located atop the Tien Shan mountain range of Kyrgyzstan about 350 Km south east of the capital Bishkek. The estimated total open pit reserves are 9.7 million contained ounces of gold and operating in temperatures that range between +23ºC to -49ºC .

After site visits and inspections the maintenance and engineering teams from Kumtor and Duratray respectively identied several opportunities for operational improvements.

Existing and target payloads were analysed determining that the Duratray SDB was an attractive alternative to steel dump bodies in oering both high resistance to abrasion and increasing payloads signicantly. The delivery of the rst SDB units is expected to be in mid-2014.

Golden Opportunities: Introducing the Duratrays in Kyrgyzstan

Recognised for Environmental ExcellenceThe New South Wales Minerals Council recognised Yancoal Australia, Moolarben Coal for its environmental excellence at the Environment and Community Conference last September.

The prize was awarded as recognition for the implementation of the ‘Stealth Fleet’ of Komatsu 830E haul trucks tted with Duratray Suspended Dump Bodies for rst pass loading noise reduction which are currently operating at Moolarben Coal mine.

Duratray displayed at the event where more than 300 attendees gathered to discuss topics such as sustainability, mine rehabilitation and air quality.

Additional units of the Suspended Dump Body for Caterpillar 777G haul trucks will be delivered soon to New Caledonia mines.

Following the success of the unique design developed to reduce carryback in operations handling sticky, wet and high clay ores, Duratray announced the manufacture and delivery of a new eet of the carryback solving 777G SDB.

The innovative new design for carryback solution comprises a rubber wear mat extended to the sides of the steel frame reinforced with curved rubber bars and a completely curved structure on the sides which also allows a reduction in body weight.
