Compassion is the last acon step in Ready, Aim, Fire.Acng in the world, with a compassionate mind, we can see the suffering of those we do not agree with, as well as our own. As we make choices to take acon, we take into consideraon this suffering, acvely choosing ways and means that will bring healing or, at a bare minimum, not increase the suffering. Challenging? Yes. BE THE CHANGE - WEEK 13: Feb. 23 - 28 Our Final Week’s Theme: Compassion

“I came to the edge of a forest where the narrow, lighted spaces called to me. I stood there through many opportunities till an ageless woman of great resolve appeared saying, ‘You can't start, I know, and if I were kind, I'd see you halfway in, but I am more than kind. You must enter alone. I will meet you on the other side.’” ~Mark Nepo

Well, we come to the end of our time together in the “Be the Change” program, and I thought it would be interesting to “meet you on the other side” of your 90-day journey. How have you changed since December 4th, 2016? Has your journey restored you to peace, brought you to a new place, opened you up to different ways of thinking?

Compassion is the last action step in “Ready, Aim, Fire.” Acting in the world, with a compassionate mind, we can see the suffering of those we do not agree with, as well as our own. As we make choices to take action, we take into consideration this suffering, actively choosing ways and means that will bring healing or, at a bare minimum, not increase the suffering. Challenging? Yes. But what is the purpose of being a sacred human if it is not to bring our life energy, our soul force into expression with beneficial and powerful action, learning as we grow the ways of compassion?

I wish you peace and the ability to move in this world knowing that everything you create starts in mind and only then outpictures in the world. Trust that, use that in service to love.

Dr. Andrea

Continuing your spiritual practice beyond the program: Continue with your daily spiritual practice - ten minutes or more. Continue reading daily passages from Mark Nepo’s “The Book of Awakening.” In our final Be the Change message, the last YouTube is one by Pema Chödrön, and rather than just speak-

ing of compassion, she outlines the entire journey you and I have been on these 90 days – in 11 minutes! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVRT-y2wTBY

Making Contact I believe the greatest gift I can conceive of having from anyone is to be seen by them, heard by them, to be understood and touched by them. The greatest gift I can give is to see, hear, understand and to touch another person. When this is done, I feel contact has been made.

~ Virginia Satir

Hospice Poem

Truly I have loved.

Truly I have been loved.

Both the sun & the rain have caressed

my face. Life, you owe me nothing.

Life, we are at peace.
