NEW CIVIL AVIATION PILOTS

According to ANNEX, I (Part-FCL) to Commission Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011, pilots from all around the world can work in any of EASA member state by converting their ATPL or CPL license to EASA. COURSE OVERVIEWThe EASA ATPL Conversion – Distance

Learning program is a full training package

with everything you need and it is tailored to

suit you to fit your availability, background,

and personal skills, knowledge, and

experience.

The course consists of:• Distance Learning-online study

• 99 hrs. Ground school-In house

• 5 hrs. Flight on Multi Engine

• 10 hrs. Flight on FNPT II

• 2.5 hrs. check ride

Distance learning

The conversion training from an ICAO license (PPL,

CPL or ATPL) requires both theory and practical flight

training. In addition to learning more about EASA

regulations and operations, we will familiarize you

with the aircraft type, local procedures and flying in

EASA-regulated airspace. Depending on your license

and experience, you may require bridge training for

instrument, commercial and multi-engine flying. We

will customize an individual syllabus for all license

conversion clients, based on your documentation and

an evaluation session in the simulator.

The process to convert your license from ICAO to

EASA varies depending on your license and your

license-issuing state.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

ICAO ATPL to EASA ATPL CONVERSION

• For ICAO ATPL holders you should pass:

• EASA Class 1 Medical exam

• EASA ICAO English language proficiency test or IELTS.

(With at least ICAO LEVEL 4 or higher.)

• 14 ATPL exams at the Civil Aviation Authority (no

ground school required, but we strongly recommend

preparatory theory training in any member states

under EASA).

• Skill test for the ATPL license

• Apply for an EASA ATPL license from the Civil Aviation

Authority

For ICAO CPL/frozen ATPL

holders:

• EASA Class 1 medical exam

• EASA ICAO English language

proficiency test or IELTS. (With atleast

ICAO LEVEL 4 or higher.)

• distance-learning ATPL theory course

and pass 14 ATPL exams at the Civil

Aviation Authority.

• Skill test for the EASA CPL and IR

• Apply for an EASA CPL License from

the Civil Aviation Authority

The following documents/information

should be submitted before the start of

training so that we can prepare your

training:

• Date and time of arrival to our training

center (please pre-book an

appointment)

• A scan/photo of your ICAO Pilot License

• Total hours

• Hours as PIC

• A scan/photo of the last 3 pages of your

Pilot Logbook

• Any and all relevant certificates from

prior training

• Criminal reports will be issued by the

pilot from his country before ending the

program 1 week to keep it’s validation

The ATPL theoretical knowledge course comprises the 14 subjects as follows; inter-active distance learning training, progress tests and final school tests

• Electronic (Oxford) books will be used for interactive ATPL theory distance learning.• There will be scheduled progress tests• Student’s progress is logged via online flight school management system “Flightlogger” where

stakeholders can monitor individual study progress within each training phase as well as drill down on instructor feedback, training deficiencies and extra training actions.

• Progress tests and school final exams will be conducted from time to time with the type of questions same as the CAA examinations.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To apply for the EASA ATPL Conversion you must meet the following requirements:

➢ Valid FAA/ICAO CPL ME-IR,

➢ Minimum 175 hrs. Total Flying hrs. (To enter the program) whereof 100 hrs. as PIC

➢ 300NM cross-country

➢ Must be able to obtain an EASA Medical Class 1. (Please note the medical examination will

be arranged by Skies and will be done in an approved medical center in Sweden).

➢ Able to pass English Language proficiency (ELP) with at least ICAO Level 4 or higher,

(Skies coordinates and schedules the medical and ELP examinations.

Student Visa: Our partner Skies will assist students to apply a student visa for the duration of their

training.

We will send the list of required documents and once the documents are prepared, will assist

the student in the application process online.

The visa processing time with Sweden Migration Agency will take approximately 1-2 months.

*SIMULATORS

To support the flight training, Skies also operates three FSTD simulators (SEP, MEP and light jet).

Skies Airline Training’s state-of-the-art simulators have break-through visual realism, cockpit

replication, high-fidelity avionics simulation as well as flight and ground-handling

characteristics that are indistinguishable from a fully operational aircraft.
