book users. That’s a pretty big number…

The marketing potential of Facebook and

other social networks are incredible, but

creating a strategy that works for your bu-

siness can be intimidating. You must al-

ways remember that social media is about

engagement. Unlike billboards or flyers,

it requires a deeper level of interaction. It

requires you to listen to your customer. It

things to keep in mind when using Face-

book to promote your business. But be-

fore we dive in, there are a few things to

remember. Facebook isn’t a substitute for

a website. You should always have your

own website that is completely branded

to your business. A good website puts

100% of the focus on you and works 24/7

to showcase your products and services.

That being said, Facebook can be a very

powerful supplement to your online mar-

keting. So here is a plan to get you star-

ted.

Create a Facebook PageWhen promoting your business on Face-

book, always create a Facebook Page for

your business. Do not create a personal

profile that simply contains your business

information. There are many reasons why

this is important. Other than looking pro-

fessional, Pages have “Insights” ‐ statis-

tics and data that helps you measure and

grow your “reach” on Facebook. Also,

some of the tools and widgets offered by

Facebook are only available for Pages.

Creating a Page does require you to al-

ready have a personal Facebook profile.

When logged in to your personal Face-

book profile, you will be able to access

your Facebook page as an administrator,

without a separate username/password.

You can even select other Facebook users

to be administrators of the page as well.

Facebook EventsFacebook Events allows you to promote

your next open house, marketing event,

product demo, or important meeting.

Once created, Facebook users can be “in-

vited” to the event and it can be “shared”

by other users. This is a great way to ge-

nerate some buzz about your next event.

Generate Buzz!There’s nothing like giving away free

stuff to generate some buzz about your

company. The idea here is to be creative

and create an incentive for users to “Like”

or interact with your Page. For example,

offer a prize when you reach a certain

number of “Likes” or once a certain num-

ber of “shares” are reached.

Please note that Facebook’s policies are

constantly evolving regarding giveaways

and contests. Be sure to check their Terms

of Service before you begin any sort of

promotion.

Content is KingBe interesting. Write fun and creative

posts regularly. Make yourself memora-

ble. Remember that anything users might

find interesting can be shared with their

friends with one click. When users inter-

act with your Page, those interactions are

automatically visible to their friends,

which can cause your post to spread ex-

ponentially –the most powerful part of

I knew something big was brewing with

this week's Angel message as the moment

I tuned into them, a huge gust of Autumn

wind replete with an army of brilliantly

coloured, freshly-freed leaves suddenly

barrelled across the property, barns and

house. Their madcap race continued,

only to end splashed right up against my

bedroom window, glistening against the

pane like a flaming torch. It certainly

grabbed my attention!

And then I understood. I had an impor-

tant visitor.

His name means, 'Who is as God'...

He is known as the 'Prince of Light'...

In most Christian lore he is 'The Greatest'

of all God's Angels....

The Angel's message this week is remin-

ding us about one of our most powerful

allies...ARCHANGEL MICHAEL.

Surrounded in an aura of cobalt blue, seen

in a Warrior's shining coat of armour hol-

ding sword ablaze in Light, he is Earth's

'Go To Champion' in bad (and good)

times. He is always available to each and

every one of us as he is not limited by

earth's issues of 'time & space.' As with

all Angels, we need only to ask for his

help.

Archangel Michael is the one to call on

whenever you are afraid and need cou-

rage. If you feel alone or are in a dark

place, (physically or mentally) you can

call upon him to help you. If you need

courage to complete a task, quit smoking,

lose weight, get over a phobia, or through

an exam, or report, etc... call on him!

October, the Witching Month,Keep Your Pets Safe! Once taken into our care, our pet's safety

is our responsibility for the rest of their

life. It is the unspoken oath we take when

their little adoring eyes meet our hearts

for the first time.

Normally, this responsibility is just plain

ol' common sense. However, common

sense is in the eye or in this case, the brain

of the beholder....Some critters just don't

think like us!

For instance,

We'd know not to bite into an electrical

cord at the back of the T.V. set or stick our

long-wet tongue into a wall socket...and

we'd know not to jump up onto a hot

stove, or into an open freezer! We'd also

know not to run willy-nilly onto a street

without first looking both ways and we'd

know not to take candy from a stranger or

get into a car with one....We'd know not to

drink from something with a skull and

crossbones on it, but we cannot expect

our pets to know all the hazards of living

in a human-run world!

October has it's own unique perils for

which we need to keep an extra eye out

to keep our pets safe. For one, it's Har-

vest time! For those of us who live in the

country that means there's alot of very

large machinery crawling all over our

properties and up and down our country

lanes. Please, watch out for old cats and

dogs who aren't so quick to get up and out

of the way of fast moving vehicles.

There's also Bitches & Queen's with lit-

ter's who won't abandon them and they

can be severely injured if in the way.

Then there's those who run off and get

lost because of the 'scary' noisy machines!

There isn't any animal, domestic or oth-

erwise that could stand a chance against

one of those Combines coming at them at

Harvest Time! Please keep your animals

safe and out of the way so these farmers

can get their job done. And Farmers,

please have a heart if you come across

one of these situations.

It's getting significantly cooler now, this

means that alot of critters who were

happy living in the forest all summer

long, are now beginning to search out

areas they feel will supply them with eas-

ier access to food and warmth. This could

mean barns and decks even garages and

houses may get infiltrated with raccoons

and skunks among other wild

beings...Watch out for your cats and dogs

in case of potential run-ins. Remember, if

you put out poison for rodents, and then

your pet eats that critter, it too will be in-

gesting that deadly poison.

For those who have alot of barn cats, (or

ferals parading as such) and no cows to

keep them warm, I always try and get

some bales of straw (some years are

harder to find straw, than others) and set

up some warm beds for them for oncom-

ing winter. Once the ground freezes, re-

member if you feed them with

dry-kibbled food, they'll need fresh/un-

frozen water also as the 'dry' doesn't pro-

vide any moisture for them. Contraire to

popular belief, snow won't provide

enough moisture to assimilate that dry

food properly.

It's also a good time to check and clean

out all the dog houses, and small chicken

and other critter-coops to ensure they are

insulated, dry and warm with a fresh layer

of straw.

A little, thoughtful kindness to all God's

creatures, goes a long a way in adding

blessings to your life.
