The Alan Edward Higgs Charity and Coventry City Council are joint venture partners and share ownership of the Ricoh Arena through the operating company Arena Coventry Limited, also known as ACL.

Home to Coventry City Football Club, the award-winning venue has a mix of state-of-the-art conference, banqueting, exhibition, hotel, music and sports facilities. It has become a firm favourite in the UK for music promoters as well as business and sports event organisers.

Situated in the heart of England, the Ricoh Arena is within two hours’ drive of 75 per cent of the population and is around 800 yards from junction 3 of the M6 as well as being within easy reach of the M1 and M40. Sustaining our environment

We fully recognise that our actions impact upon the environment and since opening in 2005, the Ricoh Arena has undertaken a number of successful projects which mitigates these effects and positively works towards achieving sustainable development.

A £3m renovation project in 2010 enabled significant investment in energy saving equipment to ensure efficient use of the utilities. This included installation of 120 energy meters for monitoring purposes. In 2010-2011 energy usage in these areas was reduced by 33%.

We are also currently working towards gaining ISO 1401 which we hope to achieve by 2014.

The Ricoh Arena has 20,000 sqm of flexible space and combined this is known as the IEC (International Events Centre). We regularly host conferences and dinners for blue-chip clients such as Lloydspharmacy, E.ON, Boots and Whitbread.

We have over 80 versatile suites that can accommodate from 7 to 7,000 delegates, including a 6,000 sqm conference and exhibition hall. A multitude of lounges that have natural daylight, inbuilt AV and retractable walls to suit a variety of business events, makes this an enviable place.

In addition Scouting for Girls, Beverly Knight,The Specials, deadmau5, Radio 1 Live Extra, Britain’s Got Talent and The Enemy have all captivated thousands of fans in our impressive Jaguar Indoor Arena, which we believe is currently the only Arena in the UK to have a 12,000 standing capacity.

Finally our more intimate Auditorium with a capacity of 650 seated and 750 standing, has played host to The Risk, Hoosiers, Sally Morgan, Peppa Pig and comedians such as Dave Spikey.

Fans came from all corners of the globe to cheer on their teams during 12 matches in the London 2012 Olympic Football Tournament when we were the only Midlands venue chosen to stagelive football action.

We also hosted England Under-21 internationals, Heineken Cup, EDF Energy Cup semi-finals, the FA Women’s Cup final, as well as being home of Coventry City Football Club.

The new-look Singers Bar & Bistro has been divided into a restaurant, bar area and coffee lounge with internet access and plasma television screens.

The Ricoh Arena is famous for food quality as well as exclusive and unique lounges, meaning we are able to provide over 2,000 covers per event.

The Ricoh Arena has a civil licence therefore couples can enjoy their big day all under one roof. The bride and groom can tie-the-knot, enjoy their reception and evening celebration as well as spend the night in the onsite De Vere hotel.

When planning your special day we have a number of suites and lounges that are licensed to hold the marriage ceremony. Asian weddings are traditionally large celebrations, which are proving to be a major attraction particularly in the E.ON Lounge, which is able to hold 950 guests. Traditional Asian menus are also provided by our specialist caterers.

Our dedicated wedding planner will be on hand to provide expert help and advice to plan your special day. You can make your wedding really stand out from the crowd by holding your celebration in the unique surroundings of the Ricoh Arena.

We aslo cater for special occasions such as birthdays, christenings and proms.

The onsite Grosvenor G Casino is one of the largest in the UK and offers a complete leisure experience. Open from 12pm to 6am daily, G Casino provides all round spectacular entertainment.

The Casino features Lady G’s nightclub, which provides a number of entertainment acts on a regular basis with late night music and a dance floor. In addition there is a restaurant and bar, providing guests with waitress service to the casino floor throughout the night.

Bespoke entertainment is available to event organisers featuring acts in Lady G’s and fun gaming. Guests have no pressure to ‘game’, the casino can be used for pure entertainment.

Concerts and Sport

The Ricoh Arena is fast developing a reputation as a major concert venue in the Midlands. The stadium bowl, which can hold gigs for up to 40,500 people, is attracting considerable interest from promoters across the UK and Europe.

After hosting three sell-out nights of Take That, their Circus Live tour saw nearly 150,000 fans through the gates which was closely followed by an Oasis’ sold out gig. Both P!nk (2010) and Kings Of Leon (2011) have also entertained fans. The ’Ricoh’ opened up Coldplay’s stadium tour in May 2012 with 40,500 tickets sold in record time.

The stadium bowl has unparalleled disabled access and is served by bar and food outlets which offer quality, easily accessible refreshments for customers. Access for production is easy via two main tunnels onto the pitch. A conveniently placed bone yard is located in close proximity to these entrance tunnels and our back of house facilities are able to fulfil and meet all artist and production requirements.

JAGUAR EXHIBITION HALL

Our pillar free, draped hall is a fully adaptable venue which can be transformed to accommodate exhibitions, conferences, sporting events and concerts. The flexible Jaguar Exhibition Hall is 6,000 sqm with a retractable wall, dividing the hall into 4,000 sqm and 2,000 sqm.

The two ground level vehicle entry doors (one located at the north entrance and one located at the south entrance) provide easy access for unloading and loading of production.

The Jaguar Exhibition Hall has accommodated a number of large exhibitions and conferences for clients such as Trade Only, Executive Hire, Boots andWhitbread. It has also hosted a number of artists such as Scouting for Girls, Radio 1xtra Live, The Enemy, Britain’s Got Talent and deadmau5. The Ricoh Arena also has its own stage which is modular and can be broken down for flexibility.
