Arrival to Bilbao airport.Meet our local guideTransfer to centrally locatedhotel.

Pintxos (Basque tapas) line everybar in Bilbao’s famed Old Town,but knowing where to find thebest ones is an art. While it’s hardto have a bad meal in town,knowing exactly where to go forthe best, freshest, and mostexciting pintxos takes local,insider knowledge. Do a night outin Bilbao like a local, led by ourfriendly and knowledgeableBasque guides.

Pintxos are true culinary treasures in the Basquecountry, they are finger-food bites usuallyprepared with typical local products: hake, cod,anchovies, baby squid, mushrooms, etc.

Starting at 12:00 or 1:00, the bars will begin tolay out fabulous spreads. Order a “tinto” (redwine) or “blanco” (white wine) and point to yourchoice of pintxos. Have lunch or a snack, and revelin the quintessential Basque pastime of eating.

Meet our guide at the hotel.Guggenheim visit + visit to theHanging Bridge (Puente Colgante).Puente de Vizcaya Bridge is veryclose to Bilbao, and is the world'soldest transporter bridge. It wasinaugurated in 1893, the work ofarchitect Alberto de Palacio, andnow has the UNESCO WorldHeritage designation. The structureis 45 metres high and 160 metreslong. UNESCO describes it as "aperfect combination offunctionality and aesthetic beauty,in an exceptional expression oftechnical creativity".Back to Bilbao and lunch in localrestuarant.Free afternoon

In 2005, Vanity Fair surveyed 52 experts to determine thedefinitive construction project of the latter half of the20th century. The unanimous results, with 28 membersof the survey (including 11 Pritzker Prize-winners andthe deans of eight architectural schools) casting theirvotes in his favor, pointed to Gehry’s work in Bilbao asthe most influential. He also received votes for the WaltDisney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, the MillenniumPark bandshell in Chicago, and his private residence inSanta Monica, California.

Check out from the hotel.Full day visit of La Rioja area. We willhead to Laguardia, it is the mostimportant town in La Rioja of Alava, andone of the most beautiful. The region isfamous all around the world because ofits wines. The whole urban centre ofLaguardia is enclosed by walls, built atthe beginning of the 13th century.During our excursion we will visit 2wineries ( old and modern one) tocompare and see the differents betweenthem.This area of Spain has over 500 wineriesand is internationally famous for thequality of its wines. If wine were to stop being produced in Rioja today,the wine region could continue to provide wine formany years to come. This is due to the nature ofthe wines that are produced in Rioja as well as thelabeling laws that have minimum agerequirements which cause producers to hang on totheir wine from anywhere between one andtwenty years, depending on the type of label theyare looking to classify their wine as, beforereleasing them to the public. With their cellarsfilled with aging wine, producers could easilysupply their customers with wine for many years.

Meet our guideMorning walking tour:The town centre streets of SanSebastián unfold overlooking theLa Concha Bay. Monte Igeldomarks one end of it - a wonderfulvantage point for enjoying viewsover the city. At its feet isTorrepea Point, where the “Peinede los Vientos” ("the WindComb"), a sculpture by thefamous Basque artist EduardoChillida, is installed.A lovely promenade with elegantrailings and street lamps runsalong La Concha Beach, on whosesands is the Perla del OcéanoBathing Area, a former royalbathing hut.Lunch at local restuarantFree afternoon and dinner

In recent years, San Sebastian has gainedsignificant success for its cuisine. The cityhas 15 Michelin stars spread across 7restaurants and famously boasts more starsper capita than anywhere else in the worldother than Tokyo. Restaurants Mugaritz andArzak have been ranked numbers 6 and 17in the world (2015 World’s 50 BestRestaurants). It is in many ways like a miniParis only in Basque style.
