It is our wholehearted pleasure to welcomeyou to EVOLVE - the 2nd Digital Session ofEYP Albania. We are honored to HeadOrganise this session and we hope that itwill bring you as much joy and fulfillment asit has brought to us. The theme of thesession “Redefine your limits - shape youridentity” calls for young individuals ready torethink their boundaries and design a newimage for themselves. We are lookingtowards redefining what we believe ourpersonal limits are and shaping ouridentities in order to become the bestpossible versions of ourselves.

We encourage this through peer-learning and individual growth, aiming to see everyone atthis session step out of their comfort zone and take on new adventures. What we doshapes who we are, so we want to provide fresh opportunities for all of you eager to takethe initiative and reinvent your identity.Drawing back on our experiences as members ofvarious Official teams, we see collaboration between the organisers at this session ofutmost importance. This means we envision having regular calls within the organiser teamto facilitate open and direct communication between members. These calls would alsogive an opportunity for officials to ask for help if they feel they are struggling with theworkload or any other aspect of the session. We want potential applicants to recognisethat even though they will undertake a lot of individual work, constant cooperation andcommunication within the team is imperative.

We seek to share our experiences and knowledge with one another and refer to those ineach step of the shaping of the session.As Head-Organisers we want to facilitate an environment where our organisers are invitedto take ownership of their projects and ideas. This can be achieved through creatingsession activities and hosting them. We wish to see as much creativity and thought aspossible put into every task they carry out, seeing as imagination and innovation are keyelements in creating an unforgettable experience for all those involved.We believe we can make our session unique through the implementation of our theme andhence we are encouraging anyone to apply for official roles, whether you have been one inthe past or not. We will offer determined and passionate people the opportunity to flourishin a role of leadership within their team, since we believe that the fresh perspective firsttimers can provide will be of huge benefit to the session. We are more than excited to startworking with you and support you in bringing new ideas to fruition.We wish to emphasise that this session will be based on lots of inter-team activities thatare aimed at creating a well-bounded and cohesive Officials’ team. Together, we will evolveand lead this session towards success.So join us, in saying goodbye to the year 2020 with its last session and paving the way fora new and redefined EYP experience.

In a world hit by a global pandemic, we haveproven to be vulnerable and scared of change, butnevertheless, we have shown resilience andvisionary thinking by adapting to a completelydifferent lifestyle in a matter of months. We wentfrom being terrified and clueless to ultimatelyaccepting the new normal and finding strength tostay optimistic. In this sense, the topics of thissession will focus on how the world and we, asindividuals, have evolved throughout the pandemic.We will take a look at social rights movements,challenges in education, innovation in technologyand difficulties raised within the labour market. Wehave come a long way this year, we madesacrifices and we often doubted what is the pointof it all, but we are rising from our ashes,redefined.

Evolution does not only represent the concept behind the topics but it also lies at the basisof the entire session. EVOLVE, the 2nd Digital Session of EYP Albania, being under thetheme of: “Redefine your limits - Shape your identity” is meant to offer people theopportunity to reach their full potential. It does so by challenging participants to reinvent andreform themselves by identifying their self-placed limitations, acknowledging the possibilityto surmount them, and finally taking the reins - a leap of faith. Through this session, we arestriving to welcome new people in EYP, carry forward a younger generation and offer skilled,passionate individuals the chance to take a brave step into the unknown and prove theirworth, thus building a stable future for the NC and the organisation as a whole.

In terms of the academic team, the vision is based on three levels: drawing on personalexperience, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and understanding where you fit inthe whole officials’ team and in the session. Evolution in its first step is about understandingwhere you are coming from by looking back at your experiences and trying to piece themtogether. Becoming aware of the lessons that ground you will ultimately push you to build onthem, therefore, reinventing yourself and your identity. Lastly, after completing this personaljourney and understanding where you are coming from and where you are going in terms ofvision, you will then need to take a look around and explore the rest of the team. Get to knowthe people you are working with, don’t be afraid to make mistakes, be open to inter-teamcooperation and work towards achieving a cohesive team image.

IULIA MUNTEANU (RO)

On our part, I am making a commitment, alongside EYP Albania and the leadership of thesession, to facilitate an honest and open communication throughout all levels, cultivateinnovation, creativity and be eager to implement new ideas, support every participant’s self-development journey by promoting welfare and introducing feedback schemes and finally,offer everyone the opportunity to contribute to the session vision, take ownership of theirown projects and committees.

For all of you passionate EYPers waiting for the chance to prove what you are capable ofand for everyone willing to make the best out of every experience, I invite you to take a leapof faith and apply to the very last session of the year and help us make it the best one yet.Let’s evolve and leave our mark on this final 2020 EYP episode.

Struck with the circumstances we have foundourselves in this year, we had to learn to overcomethe struggles, create new ways to old habits andadapt to changes - thus, welcoming a brand newmeaning of “the digital era” into our lives. Leave yourfootprint in this new trail we are creating, and growthrough your work and mutual support. Welcome to Evolve!

Editor's Vision

The focus of the Media team during Evolve - 2nd Digital Session of EYP Albania will be thegrowth of each individual. I want to personally devote my time during the session to makesure that every member fulfils their evolutionary goal - whether that’s meeting new people,learning a new skill, or perfecting an already existing one. As the media team, in general,allows for a lot of freedom, and the digital format further amplifies that, the members willbe encouraged to go out of the box, express their creativity, search for new ways to do theirprojects and take photographs, and show us how far we can evolve a session. I believe thatthis can only be achieved through good communication, mutual support and cooperation,and these are the three main qualities we will be looking for. We want to take the session’s content as far as possible - occupying the social media in anew, unique way, creating different kinds of content (whether it’s memes, WhatsAppstickers or Instagram gifs), and making an unforgettable experience for everyone. Change is necessary to succeed. LUKA ĐORĐEVIĆ (RS)

It is my greatest pleasure to join the leadershipteam of Evolve as the Head of Jury. I am veryexcited to work closely with Fiona, David, Iulia,Luka and the board of EYP Albania to help themshape the new generation of Albanian EYPers.My vision for the session is quite simple: I wantthis session to be a chance for the Jury team tofully enjoy everything a digital session has tooffer and create a friendly and approachableenvironment for the delegates to be themselvesand further evolve their skills and mindsets.

The Jury Team will consist of people who wantto see the organisation grow and flourish,people who can look further than the academicpreparation of the delegates and can recognisethe potential of individuals within the network.This team, together with the NC, will be formingthe criteria for the selection of future EYPers ona blank page; bearing in mind the newchallenges that have arisen. I am lookingforward to working with all future participantsand to passing on the love for EYP and activecitizenship.
