OUHSC has multiple NIH-sponsored Centers that provide infrastructure and supportin the areas ofAging/Geroscience, Diabetes, Cancer, Vision, and Immunology/Microbiology. Local funding is available on a competitive basis. Total sponsoredawards at OUHSC for FY20 are $190 million, an increase of almost 30% over FY19. NIH awards for FY20 are over $86 million, an increase of 40% over FY19.

OUHSC Core Facilities include the state-of-the-art Laboratory forMolecular Biology and Cytometry Research, which provides services specializing in genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, cytometry, and imaging. The Division of ComparativeMedicinemanages facilities for rodent (barrier& conventional), aquatics, andlarger species. There are currently approximately 300 IACUC-approved active animal use protocols. The Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) isadjacent to OUHSC and maintains a collaborative partnership with OUHSC.All OMRF core facilities are available to OUHSC investigators.

Successful applicants will receive a competitive salary, generous, multi-year start-up package, and be assigned newly renovated laboratory space. Appointmentto Assistant Professor will require evidence of outstanding research accomplishments.Appointment to Associate or Full Professor will require an establishedresearch program funded by a national agency.
