We began 2010 with much expectation,declaring that it would be a good year for us. A close friend asked how we could say this andsound so sure about it. There is only one thing
we can be sure of and totally rely on -- we aregoing to end up far better than we started out, a gloriousbeginning but an even more glorious nishas written inHaggai 2:9 (The Message).But whatever the
circumstance & challenges we facedthroughout 2010, our God was faithful! ]This was the year that Daniel graduated fromhigh school and entered college at De La SalleUniversity, aiming for a degree in Literature.This is his rst dose of independent living at adorm, and had to adjust to noise, trafc,pollution, and a crowded campus. Thankfully,he is enjoying it while also being a goodexample to his pe ers. Another rst for Danielwas getting his drivers license. Again, it was hisrst encounter with a government ofce, butthe experience became a signicant lesson incharacter building. ] An item in Marissasbucket list was ticked off this year by nallytaking the plunge to learn scuba diving! Shesproud of her hard earned NAUI certication.
( www.naui.org ) ] Andrew is thankful toJehovah Rapha (God our healer) for his health.His foot that caused him discomfort is nowpain-free! He has gone back to the gym andlost at least 30 pounds. ] We not only enter2011 with hope but with FAITH; faith in ourCreator, faith in His word & His promises of increase! n
Faith is the condence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about thingswe cannot see. (Hebrews 11:1)

Jesus, the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the one whose name is aboveall names was born in a lowly stable & placed in manger because therewas no room in the inn. No matter the quality and condition of ourrooms or our lives, His grace is more than sufcient. He makeseverything beautiful in its time! (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
May we all end 2010 with greater expectation for 2011. May we hold on to hope with faith,believing that Gods plan & purpose for our lives is good.
