Yes, please.” Sheridan Johnson, 12 “In the morning before school during the winter, my dad would stop at the convenience store to get my brother and me hot chocolate.” Brenham Palmer, 10 “My favorite tradition at Forest Trail was at the end of every month when we had an assembly and one kid was elected to cut off the principal’s tie.” Alex Solis, 12 “My favorite elementary school tradi- tion was the Orff Ensemble. In fourth and fifth grade, we could join and we would play various instruments like the recorder and glockenspiel. It was the reason I’m interested in music.” Jane Cooper, 9 “In my class, we had weekly raffles. Every time you did something good or got a good grade, you got your name put in the jar. If you won, you got to pick a prize.” Drew Young, 9 “My favorite tradition was singing the bluejay song at Barton Creek Elementary.” Casey Hallman, 10 “The marble jar parties were always my favorite. I loved when my class would plan the parties and all the parents would participate by bring- ing games and food.” Elena Castanon, 10 “My friends and I used to dance in the talent show every year, and then we shot confetti at people.
