Festival Miami—Florida’s Premier Live Music Festival—provides world-class musical

programming in diverse styles to all of South Florida, as it continues its cultural and community

legacy. The University of Miami Frost School of Music hosts Festival Miami on its picturesque

Coral Gables campus in comfortable and intimate venues including the newly renovated

Maurice Gusman Concert Hall and the Weeks Center for Recording and Performance. Festival

sponsors enjoy high-impact visibility and recognition throughout the festival including stage

banners, printed program books, brochure mailers and throughout our extensive media

campaign.

Festival Miami presents 25 to 30 concerts each October and November featuring Grammy

Award winning and internationally acclaimed musical guest artists, master faculty artists, and

award-winning student ensembles. Several events are offered free of admission each season

and educational components such as master classes, open rehearsals, and hosted

conversations with artists are also presented. Residents and visitors to South Florida are

invited to partake in all that Festival Miami has to offer - from world premieres and symphonic

concerts, to chamber music presentations and jazz performances, and much more.

Each fall, Festival Miami stages a broad range of performers encompassing classical, jazz,

bluegrass, contemporary, international, acoustic and children’s music, and concerts are

categorized into four exciting themes: Great Performances, Jazz and Beyond, Creative

American Music, and Music of the Americas.

Through outreach and community program participation, Festival Miami aims to provide

unrestricted access to these high-quality music performances at affordable prices to all of

An outstanding performance venue, the 600-seat Maurice Gusman Concert Hall at the University of

Miami is used as the main venue for Frost School’s annual Festival Miami, an acclaimed international

celebration of music featuring guest artists, Frost School faculty and ensembles in symphonic concerts,

chamber music presentations, jazz performances, master classes, and much more. Located at 1314

Miller Drive, Coral Gables, FL 33146.

Located within the Weeks Center for Recording

and Performance, the 147-seat Victor E. Clarke

Recital Hall is used daily for recitals, concerts, and

ensemble performances at the University of Miami

Frost School of Music. It was specifically designed to

provide an intimate performance setting. Located at

Community outreach is an essential facet of Festival Miami’s educational and cultural mission.

As part of its objective to make the arts and culture accessible to everyone, Festival Miami presents

several selected concerts free of charge each season. The Frost School of Music provides free

admission for many local school groups, social service organizations and senior citizen centers. In order

to bring visiting artists to the widest possible audience, master classes are presented free of charge and

open to everyone.

Each year, local high school music directors are invited to bring their students to various concerts and

master classes for free. As guests, these young musicians and students are able to interact with

professional guest artists and experience music of the highest level in an opportunity that may not

otherwise be available to them. Community service hours are also available to students interested in

volunteering as ushers for festival concerts. Festival Miami also offers free and discounted tickets to

University of Miami students for many concerts and invites Frost School of Music students to attend

most concerts free of charge.

As part of our mission to encourage low-income young adults and senior citizens to attend cultural

events, Festival Miami participates in many highly-valued community programs such as the Miami-Dade

County Cultural Exchange including Culture Shock Miami, which makes $5 Festival Miami concert

tickets available to students between the ages of 13 to 22 years old, while seniors can attend select

Festival Miami concerts free of charge through the Golden Ticket program.

Over the years the Festival has partnered with numerous community organizations to provide widened

neighborhood access to cultural programming including affiliations with the Mays Conservatory of the

Arts, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida, Miami Jewish Health Systems, City Year,

Leadership Miami, Citizens Interested in Arts, American Friends of Jamaica, Junior Opera Guild, Marine

Science Graduate Student Organization, Coral Gables Congregational Church, and many other

wonderful South Florida organizations.

Every year, the combination of a diverse concert lineup and educational opportunities scheduled

throughout the season allows Festival Miami to reach out to community members across the age and

economic spectrum. Last year, over 1,150 complimentary tickets have been given out to fulfill Festival

Miami’s mission to make the arts more accessible to the community.

Festival Miami’s mission however cannot be achieved without your help. Through your support, Festival

Miami can continue to bring quality programming to local audiences and inspire the next generation of

musicians to experience the transformative powers of music.

announce it has been named the official throat drop of Festival Miami. The Festival,

now in its 30th year, will have thousands of the throat drops available to both the
