Why FreelancersOn Demand?

A note from Scott Owens, Founder of Freelancers On Demand

‘Having worked with a lot of start-ups, SMEs and business support agencies I knew they had a number of challenges when it came to resourcing and growing their business. They did not have the budgets, or necessarily the desire, to directly employ specialists in key areas. Instead they preferred to dip in and out using specialist freelancers when needed. This helped them expand their remit and bid on proposals that required multiple skill sets. It also helped them plan ahead with budgeting as freelancers would quickly provide quotes in advance of starting the work.’

How do freelancers differfrom traditional employees?Expertise – freelancers work with a wide variety of clients across a spectrum of sectors. They bring that experience and knowledge with them when they work on your project.

Motivation – freelancers are self-employed and entrepreneurial. They know the best way to grow their business is to provide top quality work and deliver it quickly & efficiently.

Problem Solving – freelancers are used to thinking on their feet and taking ownership of problems to ensure successful completion of a project, even if things don’t always go to plan.

Project Management – all our freelancers use Gantt charts to map out key deliverables and deadlines to ensure your project stays on track.

Strategic Thinking – our freelancers often bring a new perspective and are happy to put forward their ideas on the best way to develop your offering.

Flexibility – freelancers are often happy to work evenings and weekends to ensure their clients hit that tight deadline.

Why Use Us?Our freelancers can be used to bring in skills that you know are missing from your business, fill a temporary hole in your workforce or help you to level out the peaks and troughs that happen in every business. Here are the main reasons why Freelancers On Demand is the right choice for your business and which lie at the heart of all we do for you:

Cost effective – we do not charge upfront fees and can even provide quotes & estimates ahead of your project.

Response Speed – our national network of expert freelancers are ready and willing to take on new client projects within a couple of days.

Simplicity – you don’t need things to be complicated and nor do we, so our process is transparent, streamlined and simple. We set up an inception call between you and your freelancer so you can get to know each other and you can tell them about what your business needs so that things can get moving.

No fuss – once you commission a freelancer we will send you the contract which you can sign online and send back to us in minutes. If you want to continue using your freelancer after the job is completed just let us know and we will organise everything to make that happen.

Accessible – because our freelancers are, individually, specialists in certain disciplines you may require the services of more than one if your needs are complex. You can build a virtual team with all of the skills required to ensure that your targets are met within deadline.

Personal touch – we are an agency managed service and our Freelancer Charter requires all of our freelancers to set up regular call appointments with their clients. Similarly, if you wish to discuss your freelancer, pass feedback to us, or want to know about the process we’re on hand to take your call.

Ownership – our freelancers are selected not only for their expertise and professionalism, but also for their ability to communicate well and to manage projects effectively so that objectives are met smoothly and on time.
