FTTx Planning and Design• Defining customer cable and equipment design specifications in the required design platform(Smallworld FTTH, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, etc.)• Pre-design stage:• Defining fiber network cluster (cells) to include demand points• Backbone and fiber trunk route planning• Client approval of the pre-design concept• Detailed design stage:• Splicing, loss budget calculation and detailed fibre distribution line route planning• Rack mounted equipment design and connectivity planning• Network design optimisation through:• utilising as much as possible of the existing duct space• finding most cost-efficient construction routes using outside plant evaluation surface reports• avoid existing utility networks density areas• Authority and owner construction approvals

• Detailed street design maps with regard to existing utility network density• Underground cross-section view of all main network junction points• In-house network installation instruction maps• Individuel fibre cable or micro duct utilisation report• Total digging length report divided by surface type category• Customer drops & statistic, splicing diagrams and ODF reports
