See all the winners below: Ms Clarks last day Dear all Monday 5th July will be my last working day at Gainsborough. I will then start maternity leave unl July 2021. I am leaving you all in the trusted hands of our leadership team: Ms Anna McConnell - Assistant Head for EYFS and Key Stage 1 Ms Hodan Mohamed - Assistant Head for KS2 Ms Fola Awofadeju - SENDco and Aviary Lead Ms Charloe Harris - Children's Centre Lead and Family Liaison My maternity leave will be covered by Rebecca McKenzie, who has recently lead another Primary Advantage School - De Beauvoir. Ms McKenzie is an experienced Headteacher and we have been working together over the summer term to ensure a smooth transion. Ms McKenzie will be on the gate each morning and aſternoon to meet you, please introduce yourself and welcome her to Gainsborough. We have had a very successful and progressive year at Gainsborough, despite the pandemic. I am amazed at your resilience to the pandemic and our shared commitment to our children who have achieved well despite the circumstances. I cannot wait to be back already to see what another year brings us. RSE Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) lessons

As part of the school’s Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education (PSHE&C) programme, your child will soon receive a unit of lessons on changes and growing, relationships, and personal safety.

GOLDS! Each week we celebrate an amazing achievement from each class. Children are celebrated in assembly,

Nursery Za’Kai - You have had an amazing week. You have settled into class well and engaged in lots of back & forth conversa-

tion with your peers. You have played collaboratively and had lots of fun.

Tauri - For gaining lots of patience when completing a task, sharing beautifully with your friends, and making amazing

effort during carpet time. Well done Tauri

Reception Shaun - Working really hard in reading and maths. Your efforts are really paying off as you are making lots of

progress. Keep it up!

Zayaan - Putting in lots of effort to your maths and independently creating number sentences. Great work!

Year 1 Mikael—For being a positive role model for Year 1 and always working incredibly hard to do his best! Go Mikael!

Year 2 Xavier - Always giving 100% effort in ALL lessons, consistently amazing behaviour and for being a fantastic

role model to his peers! Sky Group Natasha - Always coming up with new and exciting ideas to make her writing more interesting. You are

becoming an amazing writer Natasha!

Year 3 Ishaq - Always having a positive attitude towards his learning. He always contributes to class discussions and

is showing maturity as he prepares for year 4. Year 4 Praise - fantastic effort in art every week, but especially this week! Your art inspired by Marta Minujin was amazing!!

Jack - Participating well in Reading and Writing. You have been sharing your ideas and trying really hard. We

are proud of you!

Inaya - For the wonderful art work for Refugee Week and Hispanic Week. She shared her creative interpreta-

tion of the Refugee Week theme ’We cannot walk alone.’

Jecintha - Publicar un archive de hechos. A very well organised fact file on Argentina using the correct layout

and filled with interesting facts and Spanish vocabulary.
