as the antagonist of this game.

Moving on, we have the normal

apocalyptic scenario caused due to a timfracture. And Jack is the only one that ca

stop it and save humanity now. So he has t

race against time, quite literally, to sav

planet Earth.

The visual effects of this game are

undeniably cool, no doubt about that. Th

bullet-time effect, popularized by The

Matrix and then extensively used in othegames, looks pretty radical.

And the developers have put in real effort

n the detailing. Like the blood sprays or

a cup of coffee hitting the ground, etc. It

looks pretty amazing.

The performances by the actors are at

par. Aiden Gillen sidles right into the skin

of Paul Serene and Shawn Ashmore does a

pretty good job too. So where does all of

t go wrong? Well, buckle up for the ride.

To start with, the characters seem

pretty hollow and you just can’t connect

with them for some reason. A live action

TV show was supposed to help in

developing these characters further, but

nothing as of yet. On the contrary, it has

achieved the exact opposite. Talk about

rony. Also, in a country where you have

rickety internet speeds, bandwidth issues

and power cuts, it’s a real pain to stream

these episodes from Microsoft’s servers.

Also, a 20 minute cut

scene is a bit too much.

On a personal note, I triedthis on a PC and not a

console, so maybe it works

great on consoles. But

for PC users, this is

another example of a

horrible port. The game i

tself is riddled with a

number of bugs. Apart

from that, it has issueslarger than your ex. The

frame rate drops

suddenly, grainy video

quality, inability to play at

1080p because the frame

rate drops below 10 FPS

if you do so.

However, I did complete

the game.

I would rate this game

at a 4 or a max of 4.5 out

of 10. I won’t recommend

this game to anyone but I

choose to warn people. If

you still feel like playing

it, good luck!

THE LAST OF US|SUGGESTION

Back in June 2013, after completing the final boss of a game,

I was lost in doubt.

Doubt of what exactly was I feeling.

I wasn’t happy, I wasn’t sad, and 3 years down the line,

I still can’t figure out what exactly it was.

All I know is that I was completely blown away by the game.

Of all the games I have played, that one was the best ever!

A brief summary of thestory is that a virus breaksout which turns humansinto zombies. The gamerefers to them as clickers.20 years later, after mostof the population is wipedout, Joel is set with a task;a task that could possiblyresult in death.

He has to smuggle ateenager named Ellieacross the United States,or whatever is left of it, toa resistance group calledThe Firefies.

Yep, the story is clichéd,pretty much. But it’s acompletely different

experience when youstart playing it.

The visuals, throughout thegame, are breathtakingand absolutely gorgeous.A big thumbs-up to thedeveloper, Naughty Dog,for creating such awonderful game!

ewarding and thehemistry between Joelnd Ellie spawns off somemazing character

evelopment. Even thedd-on DLC, Left Behind,

was worth it.

The game can’t be put intoone genre as such. It’s gotAction, Adventure,Survival, and Horror in theperfect combination. Nowwhen I say Horror, don’t

confuse it with scarycharacters or paranormalstuff. Although it does havesome jump scares, it’s morehorrifying to see the actionsand choices which we orthe othercharacters make throughthe game. The extent to

which human psyche canbe twisted and broken downto; kind of Shakespearian ina way.

game yet.

I was logged in and playing this masterpiece for

16 hours and I’m pretty sure I forgot to breathesomewhere in the midst. Hooray for me, I madeit out alive.

After waiting for nearly 3 years, facing numerousdelays, I got the Uncharted Game in my hand. Irealised that I was never going to wait foranother Uncharted game again. I would never beplaying a next Uncharted game. So, Idecided to soak every goddamn minute of the

game. And boy did I soak in it.

the brains behind this game,left ND for Visceral Games.Subsequently, the duties werehanded to Neil Druckmann andBruce Straley (The last of Us).Although, The Last of Us is anamazing game with a brilliantstory, I was worriedwhether they would be able tocapture the essence of the

previous three games of thisfranchise. So let me tell you,

I have been cleansed of all mydoubts!

Perhaps the longest game from

the Uncharted Franchise, I foundit a bit exhausting. Especiallythe middle chapters, thepacing kind of lost footing.

However, it soon improvedagain. Also, I found myselfdying quite often even onNormal mode. So a word ofcaution. The characters weregiven plenty to do. Nate (playedby Nolan North) is just thewiseass you knew he was.Elena (played by Emily Rose) islike the third bed from

Goldilocks, just right. Sam, thenew character, (Troy Baker, asmarvellous as ever) is similar toNathan Drake but with more ofthe quips and knowledge. Theyplay off of each otherperfectly. Also Rafe (WarrenKole) and Nadine Ross (LauraBailey) are where they shouldbe. But the show stealer is

without a doubt, Victor “Sully”Sullivan played by theeffervescent RichardMcGonagall. His characterdesign is also drasticallyimproved over the previousthree games.
