Dr. M.V.V.S Murthi, visionary, industrialist, educationist, philanthropist and former parliamentarian, has

been guiding the destinies of the organization since its inception.

The organization has three campuses - its main campus at Visakhapatnam, off campuses at Hyderabad and

Bengaluru. Known for its creative dynamism and flexibility, the organization offers varied programmes blending skill

development and value orientation to shape the careers of students and develop holistic personality to be privileged

members of the civil society. The institution also offers several programmes through distance learning to increase

access to higher education with emphasis on reaching the unreached.

GITAM, Visakhapatnam has been extending its services to the other States of India with a view to training innovative and

competent professionals in the field of technology and management. In the process, during the year 2012, Bengaluru

campus was commissioned, physically through construction of infrastructure and intellectually through dedicated

faculty and administrative staff. The campus is provided with state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities with modern

classrooms, laboratories, playfields and other student support services

GITAM introduced GITAM School of Technology (GST) during the academic year 2012-13 with a view to impart training

in the fields of Technology and Management for the youth of coming generations to help them avail opportunities

present in the silicon valley of India.

Bengaluru School of Management Studies (BSMS), GITAM,

Bengaluru Campus, strives to build itself as an institution of quality

management education, research, executive training development and

consultancy.

In a very short span of time, the school has built an excellent faculty pool of experience and a

rich intellectual capital base, state of the art infrastructure, technology–savvy campus along with

commitment towards quality. The emphasis has been to prepare business leaders for the society and

Post-Graduate programme:

BSMS offers a Two Year Full Time MBA Programme approved by UGC, All India Council for Technical Education

(AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The programme is aimed at transforming young graduates into

successful and effective business leaders. The prime focus of the programme is to prepare professionals who would

take up leadership positions in organizations across industry, government organizations and NGOs. The programme

has been designed to equip youngsters with the basic set of knowledge, skills and aptitude that would be required of

them in corporate/non-corporate organizations.

The programme aims at providing young, thinking minds the power to shape their paths and influence change. Depth

of understanding, analytical rigour, independence of thought, commitment, cooperation, competition, integrity and

innovation are the core values instilled in each individual who graduates from the two year programme.

All this is achieved through a well-crafted set of curricular and extra-curricular activities, delivered by a mix of experts

from academia and industry.

Research Programme: BSMS offers full time and part time M.Phil and Ph.D. Prorgrammes in all major functional areas

of Management.

Consultancy: BSMS also undertakes Consultancy for industries and businesses, and offers Management

Development Programmes and Executive Development programmes.

Training and Placement Cell at Bengaluru was established in 2012. It functions with the coordination of Heads of

Departments, faculty, and student representatives. GITAM has intelligent and highly motivated young students
