The past financial year has been challenging for entire financial, especially for micro-credit sector. Despite all the difficulties, Partner managed to finish the year with very good financial results. In addition to good financial results, the year of 2013 has been important for us because from the beginning of its operations, we have achieved to disburse loans in the amount over one billion Convertible Marks and close to 350,000 loans, by which we have created 80,173 and retained 301,947 jobs. These data represent the evidence that we have been able to balance social and financial goals, which represents a major challenge for a financial institution. We proved that Partner is an organization that adapts to changes, the economic crisis and to the needs of our clients.

Our commitment to place the client in the focus of our activities has resulted in obtaining the Client Protection Certificate issued by the Smart Campaign. The possession of this Certificate means that Partner through its operations, offers loan products and service to customer that meet all seven Principles for the Protection of clients, and they include: all the way through its operations, the range of loan products and in dealing with clients, complies with all seven principles of client protection. The principles include: Appropriate Product Design and Delivery, Prevention of Over-indebtedness, Transparency, Respon-sible Pricing, Fair and Respectful Treatment of Clients, Privacy of Client Data, Mechanisms for Complaint Resolution. Client Protection Certificate represents an additional responsibility for us to constantly improve, through maintenance and daily improvement in the area of client protection.

The past business year has been significant for us for the reason that we continue the successful cooperation with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). One of the projects that we have successfully imple-mented with this Agency is the project of rural development REGA (Rural Employment Generation Activity). Results from REGA project are shown in the allocation of 500 loans totaling to USD 736,217.83. The production of berries in B&H, thanks to this project, has been increased by 5.5%, while the import of berries to B&H fell by 0.26%. The second project, which Partner is realizing in cooperation with USAID, is the project "Solar Energy as the Future of Sustain-able Development." The purpose of the project is to launch a sustainable production of solar collectors and create a value chain between producers and users of solar panels/systems. As a result of the project activities, the first asso-ciation of manufacturers of solar collectors in Bosnia entitled "Association EkoSolar" was registered, which came at the initiative of Partner, as the project implementer. Partner timely recognized the importance of implementing energy efficiency measures and to this end we have developed other products and services that will enable our clients to reduce costs and create a more com-fortable living and working space.

In order to be closer to our customers and provide them with the best service, this year we have opened two new offices in Hadzici and Kozarska Dubica. Partner now has 55 Field Offices and 289 employees, whose efforts and selfless contributed to the fact that Partner is one of the leading microcredit organiza-tions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the end, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to every-one who helped Partner to become what it is today, and to continue to support us in our growth, with the aim of developing entrepreneurship, job creation and improving the financial position of our clients.

Protekla poslovna godina je bila izazovna za cijeli finansijski, a posebno za mikrokreditni sektor. I pored svih poteškoća, Partner je uspio da godinu završi sa dobrim poslovnim rezultatima. Pored dobrih finansijskih rezultata, 2013. godina je za nas bila značajna i po tome što smo od početka svoga poslovanja, izdali kredite ukupne vrijednosti veće od jedne milijarde konvertibilnih maraka, i blizu 350.000 kredita, čime su stvorena 80.173 radna mjesta, a zadržano 301.947 radna mjesta. Ovi podaci su dokaz da smo uspjeli dovesti u ravnotežu društvene i finansijske ciljeve, što za jednu finansijsku instituciju predstavlja veliki izazov. Dokazali smo da je Partner organizacija koja se prilagođava promje-nama, ekonomskoj krizi i potrebama naših klijenata.

Naša opredjeljenost da svoje aktivnosti usmjerimo ka klijentu, rezultirala je dobi-janjem Certifikata o zaštiti klijenata od strane Smart Campaign. Posjedovanje ovog Certifikata znači da Partner kroz svoje operacije, ponudu kreditnih proiz-voda i ophođenje sa klijentima ispunjava svih sedam Principa o zaštiti klijenata, a oni obuhvataju: dizajniranje i isporuku odgovarajućih proizvoda, izbjegavanje prezaduživanja klijenata, transparentno i odgovorno utvrđivanje cijena, odgovarajuće politike i procedure naplate kredita, etično ponašanje zaposlenih, mehanizme za rješavanje žalbi i pritužbi i zaštitu podataka klijenata. Certifikat o zaštiti klijenata za nas predstavlja dodatnu odgovornost da svojim aktivnostima svakodnevno unapređujemo naš rad na području zaštite klijenata.

Protekla poslovna godina je za nas bila značajna i po tome što smo nastavili uspješnu saradnju sa Američkom agencijom za međunarodni razvoj (USAID). Jedan od projekata koji smo sa ovom agencijom uspješno realizovali je projekat ruralnog razvoja REGA (Rural Employment Generation Activity). Rezultati REGA projekta se mjere u dodjeli 500 kredita u ukupnom iznosu od 736,217.83 EUR. Proizvodnja jagodičastog voća u BiH je, zahvaljujući ovom projektu, povećana za 5.5%, dok je uvoz jagodičastog voća u BiH smanjen za 0,26%. Drugi projekat, koji Partner realizuje sa USAID-om, je projekat „Solarna energija kao budućnost održivog razvoja“. Svrha projekta je pokretanje održive proizvodnje solarnih kolektora i stvaranje lanca vrijednosti između proizvođača i korisnika solarnih kolektora/sistema. Kao rezultat projektnih aktivnosti, registrovano je i prvo udruženje proizvođača solarnih kolektora u BiH pod nazivom "Udruženje EkoSolar", koje je nastalo na inicijativu Partnera kao implementatora projekta. Partner je na vrijeme prepoznao važnost provođenja mjera energetske efikas-nosti i u tu svrhu razvili smo i druge proizvode i usluge koji će našim klijentima omogućiti smanjenje troškova života i stvaranje ugodnijeg životnog i radnog prostora.

S ciljem da budemo bliži našim klijentima i da im pružimo što kvalitetniju uslugu, u ovoj godini otvorili smo dvije nove poslovnice u Hadžićima i Kozarskoj Dubici. Partner sada ima 55 terenskih ureda i 289 uposlenika, koji su svojim trudom i nesebičnim zalaganjem doprinijeli da budemo jedna od vodećih mikrokreditnih organizacija u Bosni i Hercegovini.

Na kraju, iskoristio bih priliku da se zahvalim svima koji su nam pomogli da Partner postane ovo što je danas, i da nas i dalje podržavaju u našem rastu, a sve u cilju razvoja poduzetništva, kreiranja radnih mjesta i poboljšanja materijal-nog položaja naših klijenata.

In the territory of the entire B&H, through door-to-door services, we provide quality loan products and technical support; help increase of living standards, increase employment by encouraging the transi-tion to a market economy.

With IFC Support Partner receives the ClientProtection Certificate

In early 2012, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), in cooperation with the Association of MFIs in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AMFI), started with the realization of ACCION SMART campaign aimed at improvement of microcredit clients' protection. This member of the World Bank, financialy supported Partner MCF to pass through the entire certification process. In this way, IFC has contrib-uted to Partner Microcredit Foundation making it become one of five micro-credit institutions in the world to receive the Client Protection Certificate by the Smart Campaign.

This campaign included several hundred of microfinance institutions worldwide. Partner has been the subject of inspection by the rating agency, MicroFinaza, who audited harmonization of business practices with the client protection principles. It was confirmed that Partner Microcredit Foundation all the way through its operations, the range of loan products and in dealing with clients, complies with all seven principles of client protection. The principles include: Appropriate Product Design and Delivery, Prevention of Over-indebtedness, Transparency, Responsible Pricing, Fair and Respectful Treatment of Clients, Privacy of Client Data, Mechanisms for Complaint Resolution.

The rapid growth of the microfinance sector has led to the problem of over-indebtedness and inability to repay loans. The client protection principles aredesigned in response to the need of microcredit institutions to devote special attention to the standards governing relationships with the client. This standard introduces client protection in all segments of the business relationships between clients and microcredit institutions. Partner, as the owner of the Client Protection Certificate, in this way, has received the international confirmation that our client interests always come first.

Uz podršku IFC-a, Partner dobio certifikato zaštiti klijenata

Početkom 2012. godine, Međunarodna finansijska korporacija (IFC) je u saradnji sa Udruženjem mikrokreditnih organizacija u Bosni i Hercegovini (AMFI), počela realizaciju ACCION SMART kampanje s ciljem unapređenja zaštite klijenata mikrokreditnih organizacija. Ova članica grupacije Svjetske banke, finansijski je pomogla Partner MKF da prođe kroz cijeli proces certifikacije. Na taj način, IFC je doprinijeo da Partner mikrokreditna fondacija postane jedna od pet mikrokreditnih institucija u svijetu koja je dobila Certifikat o zaštiti klijenata od strane Smart Campaign.

Ovom kampanjom obuhvaćeno je nekoliko stotina mikrofinansijskih institucija iz cijelog svijeta. Partner je bio predmet kontrole od strane MicroFinaza Rating agencije koja je pratila usklađenost poslovne prakse sa zaštitom klijenata. Potvrđeno je da Partner mikrokreditna fondacija kroz svoje operacije, ponudu kreditnih proizvoda i ophođenje sa klijentima ispunjava svih sedam Principa o zaštiti klijenata. Principi obuhvataju: dizajniranje i isporuku odgovarajućih proiz-voda, izbjegavanje prezaduživanja klijenata, transparentno i odgovorno utvrđivanje cijena, odgovarajuće politike i procedure naplate kredita, etično ponašanje zaposlenih, mehanizme za rješavanje žalbi i pritužbi i zaštitu podataka klijenata.

“Brojne nagrade i priznanja, potvrda su našeg uspješnog poslovanja. Nama u Partneru, posebna je čast, što smo na 15. godišnjicu postojanja dobili Certifi-kat, koji našim klijentima šalje jasnu poruku da smo pouzdan i društveno odgovoran pružalac usluga. Ujedno, ovaj Certifikat za nas predstavlja dodatnu odgovornost da svojim aktivnostima svakodnevno unapređujemo naš rad na području zaštite klijenata,” rekao je Senad Sinanović, direktor Partner mikrokreditne fondacije.

Ubrzani rast mikrofinansijskog sektora doveo je do problema prezaduženosti i nemogućnosti vraćanja kredita. Principi zaštite klijenata su kreirani kao odgovor na potrebu da mikrokreditne institucije posvete posebnu pažnju na standarde koji uređuju odnos prema klijentu. Ovaj standard uvodi zaštitu klijenata u sve segmente poslovnih odnosa između klijenata i mikrofinansijske institucije. Partner, kao vlasnik Certifikata o zaštiti klijenata, na ovaj način dobio je i međunarodnu potvrdu da nam je klijent na prvom mjestu.

International recognition for Partner MCF

At the beginning of May, within the global SMART Campaign, run by ACCION SMART, in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), upon successful completion of the process of certification of compliance with the principles of client protection, Partner MKF was officially handed over the certifi-cate in Sarajevo. The certification process was being implemented through the SMART campaign in B&H with financial support from the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) since February 2012th. SMART campaign aims to improve client protection in microfinance through better understanding and use of client protection principles by microcredit organizations. The certificate was presented by Isabelle Barres, Director of ACCION SMART in the presence of Lada Busevac, Senior IFC Country Officer in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Through this initiative, IFC wants to put the focus on the client as the driving force of the microcredit industry. "If we want to microfinance sector to be truly socially responsible and financially healthy, it is essential that all clients have access to financial services that are transparent, accountable and prudent," said Buševac during the Certificate Awarding Ceremony, adding that the IFC encour-ages all microcredit organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina to support this and other responsible finance initiatives.

Good client protection practices are becoming more important because it is not only that they are correct but they also make sense with the business - clients who can repay their loans, can also develop their businesses, which is a guaran-tee for continuous growth, explained Isabelle Barres, Director of ACCION SMART, emphasizing the importance of the implementation of the Client Protec-tion Principles.

"SMART Campaign Certificate, represents a final recognition of our commit-ments to make a positive impact on clients," emphasized Selma Jahic, Executive Director of Loan Operations. Selma remarks that in 2004th this microfinance organization begun to internally implement the Client Protection Code, and that this international certificate serves as a proof that the client is in the center of Partner MCF’s business focus.

Međunarodno priznanje za Partner MKF

U okviru globalne SMART kampanje koju vodi organizacija ACCION SMART, u saradnji sa Međunarodnom finansijskom korporacijom (IFC), nakon uspješno okončanog procesa certifikacije o poštivanju principa za zaštitu potrošača, u Sarajevu je početkom maja svečano uručen certifikat Partner MKF. Proces certi-fikacije je implementiran kroz SMART kampanju koja se u BiH provodi od febru-ara 2012. godine uz finansijsku podršku Švicarskog Državnog sekretarijata za ekonomske poslove (SECO). SMART kampanja ima za cilj da unaprijedi zaštitu klijenata u mikrofinansijskom sektoru kroz povećanje svijesti i bolje razumi-jevanje principa i pokazatelja za zaštitu klijenata od strane MKO. Certifikat je uručila Isabelle Barres, direktorica ACCION SMART u prisustvu Lade Buševac, šefice kancelarije IFC-ja u BiH.

Ovom inicijativom IFC želi staviti fokus na klijente kao pokretačku snagu mikrokreditne industrije. “Ukoliko želimo da mikrofinansijski sektor istinski bude društveno odgovoran i finansijski zdrav, neophodno je da svi klijenti imaju pristup finansijskim uslugama koje su transparentne, odgovorne i razborite”, poručila je Buševac prilikom svečanosti dodjele certifikata, te dodala kako IFC ohrabruje sve mikrokreditne organizacije u Bosni i Hercegovini da podrže ovu i druge inicijative odgovornog finansiranja.

Dobre prakse zaštite klijenata postaju značajnije jer ne samo da su ispravne nego imaju smisla i sa poslovne strane – klijenti koji mogu vraćati svoje kredite, mogu i razvijati svoje poslovanje, što garantira kontinuiran rast, objasnila je Isabelle Barrès, direktorica ACCION SMART naglašavajući važnost provedbe Principa za zaštitu klijenata.

„Certifikat SMART kampanje, svojevrstan je pečat naše posvećenosti ka prav-ljenju pozitivnog uticaja na klijente“, istakla je Selma Jahić, izvršna direktorica za kreditne plasmane, napominjući da je ova mikrofinansijska organizacija još 2004. godine interno počela provoditi Kodeks o zaštiti klijenata, i kako je ovaj međunarodni certifikat dokaz da je klijent u centru poslovanja Partner MKF.

Socially Responsible Operations

The practice of corporate social responsibility has been a part of the overall business politics of Partner MCF for years and will continue in the time to come. Corporate social responsibility involves many aspects of work: environmental protection, client and guarantor protection, prevention and control of client overindebtedness etc. The certificate we received in January 2013th on the clients' rights protection, obliges us to continue with this practice and to constantly work to improve ourselves.

Projects such as the "Solar Energy as the Future of Sustainable Development", and a loan product for energy efficiency, represent the Foundation's contribu-tion to the global environmental protection projects.

During the 2013th year, a training held for the employees of Partner MCF by the Association for the Responsible Management of Personal Finances "In Plus". This represents a part of the permanent aspiration stiving to improve knowledge of the employees on how to responsibly manage money and credits, and how to protect the rights of clients to mutual satisfaction.

Social responsibility is to keep taking care about the impact of our own opera-tions on the client, community and its resources. One of the key resources for the organization, such as Partner MCF, is the trust of our clients and all partici-pants in the credit process. It is built on a continuous and open dialogue between stakeholders and a sincere effort to understand the problems and needs of our clients. Trust is built through patient and persistent work with clients, and in today's highly competitive time in the market and the general conditions for business conduct, it seems a little difficult to build, but not impos-sible.

This is evidenced by the praises from our clients sent to our address.

Društveno odgovorno poslovanje

Praksa društveno odgovornog poslovanja već je godinama dio ukupne poslovne politike Partner MKF sa kojom ćemo nastaviti i u narednom periodu. Društveno odgovorno poslovanje uključuje mnoge aspekte rada: od zaštite životne sred-ine, zaštite klijenata i žiranata, sprečavanje i kontrolu prezaduženosti klijenata i dr. Certifikat koji smo dobili u januaru 2013. godine, o zaštiti prava klijenata, obavezuje nas da i dalje nastavimo sa ovom praksom te da stalno radimo na unaprjeđenju iste.

Projekti, kao što je „Solarna energija kao budućnost održivog razvoja“, i kreditni proizvod za energetsku efikasnost, predstavljaju doprinos naše fondacije globalnom projektu zaštite životne sredine.

Obuka zaposlenika Partner MKF od strane Udruženja za odgovorno upravljanje ličnim finansijama „U plusu“ tokom 2013. godine, predstavlja dio stalnog unaprjeđenja znanja zaposlenika kako da odgovorno upravljamo novcem i kred-itima, a da zaštitimo prava klijenata na obostrano zadovoljstvo.

Društvena odgovornost podrazumijeva vođenje brige o uticaju sopstvenog poslovanja na klijenta, zajednicu i njene resurse. Jedan od ključnih resursa za organizaciju, kao što je Partner MKF, jeste povjerenje klijenata i svih učesnika u kreditnom procesu. Ono se gradi kontinuiranim i otvorenim dijalogom između zainteresovanih strana i iskrenom nastojanju da se razumiju problemi i potrebe naših klijenata. Povjerenje se gradi strpljivim i dugotrajnim radom sa klijentima, i u današnje vrjeme velike konkurencije na tržištu i opštih uslova poslovanja, teško ga je izgraditi, ali ne i nemoguće.

First Loan for Solar Energy Approved

The project "Solar Energy as the Future of Sustainable Development" is supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Partner Microcredit Foundation. The project aims to increase the use of solar panels and other alternative energy sources in BiH. The total project cost is approximately $ 1,250,000.00 and is funded by USAID with Partner's share amounting to $ 220,000.

After successfully completing the free theoretical and practical training for production and installation of solar systems for 20 companies from Bosnia, the companies received grant funds to start production of solar collectors. It opened the door for Partner MCF to begin with placement of loan funds for installation of solar systems in households and commercial buildings.

In February, Partner approved the first loan for the installation of solar water heating systems. The loan was disbursed to Mr. Mustafa Alender from Mostar, who took advantage of favorable credit funds from Partner, to install a solar system for water heating to its newly constructed facility. The client is the owner of a pension which is a great example business that requires high consumption of hot water. By installing and using solar collectors, Mr. Mustafa will achieve exceptional financial savings and a positive impact on the environment.

The solar system that will be installed on Mr. Mustafa Alender's pension was purchased from the company "LED" Ltd. Mostar, which is also a beneficiary from the project "Solar energy as the future of sustainable development". Firm "LED" Ltd. Mostar is engaged in the production, sale, installation and servicing of refrig-eration systems, air conditioning and ventilation systems. The company applied for participation in the project because of the possibility to extend its production to include solar collectors.

By the implementation of this project Partner MCF promotes the value of domestic production and encourages the use of renewable energy sources in B&H.

Partner Microcredit Foundation has also provided advisory services for all inter-ested customers. Advisory assistance is related to the provision of technical advices from teghnical sdvisors and making simple and complimentary IR reports for residential or commercial building client.

Projekat „Solarna energija kao budućnost održivog razvoja“ je podržan od strane Američke agencije za međunarodni razvoj (USAID) a implementira ga Partner mikrokreditna fondacija. Projekat za cilj ima povećanje korištenja solarnih kolektora kao i drugih alternativnih izvora energije u BiH. Ukupna vrijednost projekta je oko 1.250.000,00 USD i finansira se od strane USAID-a pri čemu je učešće Partnera oko 220.000 USD.

Nakon uspješno završene besplatne teoretske i praktične obuke za izradu i postavljanje solarnih sistema za 20 firmi iz BiH, i nakon dodjele novčanih sred-stava za pokretanje proizvodnje solarnih kolektora, Partner MKF je počela sa plasiranjem kreditnih sredstava za instaliranje solarnih sistema u domaćinstvima i poslovnim objektima.

U februaru je odobren prvi kredit za instalaciju solarnog sistema za toplu vodu. Kredit je odobren Mustafi Alenderu iz Mostara, koji je iskoristio povoljna kreditna sredstva u Partneru, da na svoj novoizgrađeni objekat instalira solarni sistem za zagrijavanje vode. Klijent je vlasnik pansiona što je vrsta biznisa koja zahtjeva veću potrošnju tople vode. Ugradnjom i korištenjem solarnih kolek-tora, gospodin Mustafa će ostvariti izuzetnu finansijsku uštedu te pozitivno uticati na okruženje.

Od firme „LED“ d.o.o. iz Mostara, koja je takođe učesnica u projektu „Solarna energija kao budućnost održivog razvoja“, izvršena je nabavka solarnog sistema koji će biti instaliran na pansion gospodina Mustafe Alendera. Firma „LED“ d.o.o. iz Mostara se bavi proizvodnjom, prodajom, montažom i servisiranjem rashladnih sistema, klima uređaja kao i sistema za ventilaciju. Firma se javila za učešće u projekat zbog mogućnosti proširenja djelatnosti na proizvodnju solarnih kolektora.

Implementacijom ovog projekta Partner MKF promoviše vrijednost domaće proizvodnje i potiče korištenje obnovljivih izvora energije u BiH.

Partner mikrokreditna fondacija je za sve zainteresirane klijente obezbijedila i savjetodavnu pomoć. Savjetodavna pomoć se odnosi na pružanje savjeta tehničkih saradnika i izradu jednostavnih i besplatnih termovizijskih izvještaja za stambeni ili poslovni objekat klijenta.

The First Association of Solar Collector Manufacturers in B&H Established

As a result of the initiative of the project activities, after nine months of work, the first association of manufacturers of solar collectors in Bosnia entitled " EkoSo-lar Association " was registered.

The Association was established at the initiative of Partner as implementer of the project "Solar energy as the future sustainable development." The project involved 20 companies from B&H whose primary objective is to establish a sustainable production of solar panels and installation/mounting of a large number of solar systems with the intention to increase the number of solar energy users in B&H.

By finding a common interest which is reflected in a more favorable purchase prices, unique certificate for patent solar collector, legislation, qualitative approach potential clients and many other advantages, our producers (project beneficiaries) unanimously accepted the membership in the first Association of Solar Collector Manufacturers

EkoSolar Association is registered in Tuzla. The President of the Association is Edin Majdancic, the Director of RES DOMINO Ltd. Kalesija (manufacturer of solar collectors). The Association currently has 20 members and is open to new members. In addition to the above, the aim of the Association is to provide other services in the field of solar energy, such as training, workshops, training, promotional activities, raising awareness about the benefits of using solar energy and the like.

The establishment of the Association represents a major success for the project "Solar Energy as the Future Sustainable Development", because it will allow our producers to preserve established production of solar collectors.

Osnovano prvo udruženje proizvođača solarnih kolektora u BiH

Kao rezultat inicijative projektnih aktivnosti, nakon devet mjeseci rada, registro-vano je prvo udruženje proizvođača solarnih kolektora u BiH pod nazivom "Udruženje EkoSolar".

Udruženje je nastalo na inicijativu Partnera kao implementatora projekta "Solarna energija kao budućnost održivog razvoja". U projektu učestvuje 20 firmi iz BiH čiji je osnovni cilj uspostavljanje održive proizvodnje solarnih kolek-tora i instalacija/montaža što većeg broja solarnih sistema sa namjerom povećanja korisnika solarne energije u BiH.

Pronalazeći zajednički interes koji se ogleda u povoljnijim nabavnim cijenama, jedinstvenom certifikatu za patent solarnog kolektora, zakonskoj regulativi, kvalitetnijem pristupu potencijalnim klijentima i mnogo drugih prednosti, naši proizvođači (učesnici projekta) su jednoglasno prihvatili članstvo u prvom udruženju proizvođača solarnih kolektora.

Udruženje EkoSolar je registrovano u Tuzli. Predsjednik Udruženja je Edin Majdančić, direktor firme RES DOMINO d.o.o. Kalesija (proizvođač solarnih kolektora). Udruženje trenutno ima 20 članova, i otvoreno je za nove članove. Pored gore navedenog, cilj udruženja je i pružanje drugih usluga iz oblasti solarne energije, kao što su: edukacije, radionice, obuke, promotivne aktivnosti, širenje svijesti o prednostima korištenja solarne energije i slično.

Formiranje udruženja predstavlja veliki uspjeh za projekat "Solarna energija kao budućnost održivog razvoja" jer će omogućiti našim proizvođačima očuvanje uspostavljene proizvodnje solarnih kolektora.

Study Trip for Solar Collector Manufacturers

Within the scope of the project, "Solar Energy as the Future of Sustainable Development", which is being implemented by Partner Microcredit Foundation, in cooperation with USAID, there was organized a study trip for 20 BH solar collector manufacturers, who used loans and grants provided by Partner Micro-credit Foundation. Study trip was organized on production and mounting flat plate solar collectors for water heating and space heating. During the study trip, the participants had the opportunity to visit the company "ÖKOTECH GmbH / Graz" engaged in the production and assembly of plate solar collectors for water and space heating. The aim of the visit was to exchange experiences and gain new knowledge which will be used to improve the production processes by visiting solar collectors production facility, or manufacturing plant, where the production is not robotics or completely automatized. During the visit, the producers had the opportunity to see the row materiala, samples of panels and equipment that "ÖKOTECH GmbH / Graz" uses for the production of flat plate solar collectors. On the second day of the study trip, the manufacturers visited the headquar-ters of the Croatian Professional Association for Solar Energy (HSUSE). When visiting HSUSE, manufacturers seen different solar systems for hot water and electricity. On behalf of the Association, the manufacturers were hosted by Professor Ljubomir Majdanđžić, an expert in solar energy and the author of the first textbook in the field of solar energy. As for the subject of the study trip, Professor Ljubomir Majdandžić had a lecture in the field of solar energy, with special emphasis on the benefits and savings from the solar systems. Participants were presented examples of good practice in the electricity costs management and different options for the most efficient utilization of solar energy.Study trip was a good opportunity to exchange experience among manufactur-ers who have already set up solar systems within the project "Solar energy as the future of sustainable development." It is especially important to note that the study tour further motivated our producers, the participants of the project implemented by USAID and Partner Microcredit Foundation, to organize a meeting during the trip resulting in a final decision on the establishment of the first association of manufacturers of solar collectors in BH.

Partner Microcredit Foundation has also provided advisory services for all inter-ested customers. Advisory assistance is related to the provision of technical advices from teghnical sdvisors and making simple and complimentary IR reports for residential or commercial building client.

Studijsko putovanje proizvođača solarnih kolektora

U okviru projekta „Solarna energija kao budućnost održivog razvoja“ koji u saradnji sa USAID–om implementira Partner mikrokreditna fondacija, organi-zovano je studijsko putovanje za 20 proizvođača solarnih kolektora iz BiH, koris-nika kredita i grant sredstava koje je obezbijedila Partner mikrokreditna fondacija. Studijsko putovanje je organizovano na temu proizvodnje i monti-ranja pločastih solarnih kolektora za zagrijavanje vode i dogrijavanje prostora.Tokom ovog studijskog putovanja učesnici su imali priliku da posjete firmu „öko-Tech G.m.b.H./ Graz“ koja se bavi proizvodnjom i montažom pločastih solarnih kolektora za zagrijavanje vode i dogrijavanje prostora. Cilj posjete je bio da proizvođači u toku posjete pogona za proizvodnju pločastih solarnih kolektora, odnosno proizvodnog pogona čija proizvodnja nije robotizovana ili potpuno automatizovna razmijene iskustva i steknu nova znanja koja će im koristiti za poboljšanje vlastitog proizvodnog procesa. Prilikom posjete, proizvođači su imali priliku da vide materijal, uzorke panela i opremu koju „ökoTech G.m.b.H./ Graz“ koristi za proizvodnju pločastih solarnih kolektora.Drugog dana studijskog putovanja, proizvođači su posjetili i sjedište Hrvatske stručne udruge za sunčevu energiju (HSUSE). Prilikom posjete HSUSE, proizvođačima su predstavljeni solarni sistemi za toplu vodu i proizvodnju električne energije. Ispred Udruge, proizvođače je ugostio profesor Ljubomir Majdanđžić, stručnjak za solarnu energije i autor prvog udžbenika iz oblasti solarne energije. Što se tiče tematskog dijela studijskog putovanja, profesor Ljubomir Majdandžić je održao predavanje iz oblasti solarne energije sa posebnim osvrtom na koristi i uštede od solarnih sistema. Učesnicima je prezentovao primjere dobre prakse u upravljanju troškovima električne energije kao i mogućnosti najefikasnijeg iskorištavanja solarne energije. Studijsko putovanje je bila dobra prilika da se razmijeni iskustvo među proizvođačima koji su do sada postavili solarne sisteme u okviru projekta „Solarna energija kao budućnost održivog razvoja“.Posebno je bitno naglasiti da je studijsko putovanje dodatno motivisalo naše proizvođače, učesnike projekta koji implementiraju USAID i Partner mikrokreditna fondacija, da na zajedničkom sastanku koji je održan na putovanju, donesu konačnu odluku o formiranju prvog udruženja proizvođača solarnih kolektora u BiH.

A Visit from USAID's Representatives

Partner Microcredit Foundation was visited by Ms. Shohreh Kermani – Peterson, from Washington. Ms. Shohreh is a consultant for grant program development, who, during her visit to Partner spoke to Mr. Senad Sinanovic, Director of the Foundation. The aim of the visit for Ms. Shohreh was to familiarize with the activi-ties taken in the project "Solar energy as the future of sustainable development", implemented in cooperation with USAID.

At the occasion Mr. Sinanovic stated that the objectives of the project were aimed at raising awareness about the benefits of using solar energy. "Partner has successfully completed several projects with USAID, so far. This project is particu-larly important for us because we are the first in Bosnia and Herzegovina who managed to train 20 local producers to independently produce solar panels. The project will eventually result in the installation of solar systems on at least 200 individual objects or small businesses, "stated Director of Partner MCF Mr. Senad Sinanovic.

The project "Solar Energy as the Future of Sustainable Development", was short-listed for European award for best practices in microfinance, jointly organized by the Foundation Giordano Dell'Amore and the European Microfinance Network (EMN). The total project value is approximately $ 1,250,000.00, of which, in addi-tion to funding from USAID, there was a significant participation of Partner, which amounts to about $ 220,000.

Gospođa Shohreh je savjetnik za razvoj grant programa, koja je tokom posjete Partneru, razgovarala sa direktorom fondacije gospodinom Senadom Sinanovićem. Cilj posjete je bio upoznavanje sa dosadašnjim aktivnos-tima na projektu „Solarna energija kao budućnost održivog razvoja“ koji se implementira u saradnji sa USAID-om.

Gospodin Sinanović je ovom prilikom istako da su ciljevi projekta usmjereni ka razvijanju svijesti o prednostima korištenja solarne energije. „Partner je do sada uspješno realizovao nekoliko projekata sa USAID-om. Ovaj projekat je za nas posebno važan jer smo prvi u Bosni i Hercegovini uspjeli da obučimo 20 lokalnih proizvođača koji samostalno proizvode solarne kolektore. Projekat će na kraju rezultirati instaliranjem solarnih sistema na najmanje 200 individualnih objekata ili malih biznisa,“ rekao direktor Partner MKF gospodin Senad Sinanović.

Partner Opens New Offcies in Hadzici and Kozarska Dubica

Our Foundation enriched the offer with two new offices that will provide a more complete and efficient service to our clients.

On July 4th Partner's Office in Hadzici officially began operations, and will oper-ate as part of Mostar Branch. The office opening ceremony, in addition to Partner employees, was attended by numerous clients from the vicinity of Hadzici. A snack was organized for the occasion, where Loan Officers mingled with clients, informed them on the changes, and used the opportunity to promote loan products. Clients, who signed loan contracts on that day, received symbolic gifts.

Partner's 55th office, was officially opened on the July 8th in Kozarska Dubica. Until now, Partner's clients from Kozarska Dubica area, were able to seek and receive information about loans only by phone or from Loan Officers who performed their tasks in the field.

In the new office Partner's clients will be able to obtain all activities related to applying for a loan, or receive all the information they need about the services that Partner provides to its clients.

The new, modernly equipped office, which will save time and money for Partner's clients, is situated in an attractive location, in the center of Kozarska Dubica at Svetosavska number 10.

Naša fondacija je bogatija za još dvije kancelarije koje će pružiti potpuniju i kvalitetniju uslugu klijentima.

Partnerova kancelarija u Hadžićima je zvanično počela sa radom 4. jula, i poslo-vat će u sklopu OD Mostar. Svečanom otvaranju kancelarije, pored Partnerovih zaposlenika, prisustvovali su i brojni klijenti sa područja Hadžića. Tom prilikom organizovana je zakuska, gdje su se kreditni službenici družili sa klijentima, upoznavali ih sa promjenama, i iskoristili priliku za promociju kreditnih proiz-voda. Klijentima, koji su taj dan potpisivali ugovor o kreditu, uručeni su simbolični pokloni.

Svoju 55. poslovnicu, Partner MKF je zvanično otvorila 8. jula u Kozarskoj Dubici. Do sada su klijenti Partnera sa područja Kozarske Dubice, informacije o kred-itima mogli dobiti putem telefona ili od kreditnih službenika koji su svoje poslove obavljali na terenu.

U novoj kancelariji klijenti Partnera će moći da obave sve aktivnosti vezane za podnošenje zahtjeva za kredit, te dobiti sve potrebne informacije o uslugama koje Partner pruža svojim klijentima.

Partner disburses BAM 1 billion During the 16-year period of providing microcredit services Partner has disbursed loans in the total amount of one billion.

The client to whom the loan, which led to the symbolic amount of one billion, was disbursed is Mrs. Devleta Muharemovic from Sapna. To celebrate this jubilee, the client was handed a suitable gift. "I am very glad it the loan that I have taken reached a billion of BAM. I am also happy for the gifts that I have received, which will most certainly gladden my son. I have been using loans in Partner for five years and I can tell you that I am really very happy with the cooperation. "

The first billion of disbursed BAM was symbolically celebrated among Partner’s staff in all organizational units. The members of the Board of Directors also attended the celebration in Central Office in Tuzla.

For over 16 years Partner Microcredit Foundation provides microcredit services to people who do not have or have limited access to commercial sources of funding, i.e. to banks. In addition to loans to start and maintain the business activities, Partner designed special loan products for agriculture, housing loans and loans for the improvement of living conditions. Through various interna-tional projects Partner enabled added value for borrowers through providing various technical assistance for agriculture, energy efficiency, and financial education.

Partner je tokom šesnaest godina, koliko se bavi pružanjem mikrokreditnih usluga, izdao kredita u ukupnoj vrijednosti većoj od jedne milijarde.

Klijentica kome je izdat kredit, koji je doveo do simboličnog iznosa od jedne milijarde KM, je Muharemović Devleta iz Sapne. Povodom ovog jubileja, klijentici je uručen i prigodan poklon. „Veoma mi je drago da je baš kredit koji sam ja podigla dostigao vrijednost od milijardu KM. Sretna sam i zbog poklona koji sam dobila, koji će sigurno najviše obradovati mog sina. Ja već 5 godina koristim kredite i mogu vam reći da sam zaista prezadovoljna saradnjom sa Partnerom.“

Prvu milijardu KM simbolično su proslavili i uposlenici Partnera u svim orga-nizacionim dijelovima. U centralnom uredu u Tuzli, proslavi su prisustvovali i članovi Upravnog odbora.

Partner mikrokreditna fondacija već 16 godina pruža usluge mikrokreditiranja osobama koje nemaju ili imaju ograničen pristup komercijalnim izvorima finansiranja, odnosno bankama. Osim kredita za započinjanje i održavanje poslovnih aktivnosti, Partner je dizajnirao i posebne kreditne linije za poljo-privredu, stambene kredite i kredite za poboljšanje uslova života. Kroz razne međunarodne projekte Partner je omogućio dodane vrijednosti za korisnike kredita kroz pružanje raznih tehničkih pomoći za poljoprivredu, energetsku efikasnost i finansijsku edukaciju.

Partner Shortlisted for European Good Practices Award

European Microfinance Network (EMN) is open to any European institution involved in the financial inclusion of people excluded from mainstream financial services or with a limited access to the main sources of financing. The Award aims to increase the understanding of the importance of microfinance as a tool to fight poverty, to encourage share of good and transferable practices among microfinance organizations in Europe and to promote innovation and sustain-ability.

Microfinance Good Practices Europe Award promoted by Fondazione Giordano Dell’Amore and the The winner of this annual Award will also receive the finan-cial award in the amount of 50,000 Euros. These funds must be reinvested for the implementation of new projects or towards the core costs of existing services.

Partner's application for the Europe Award was shortlisted among the three best projects in Europe, and, as a reward, the organizer will bear the entire cost of the presence of two elected representatives at the 10th European Microfi-nance Network Annual Conference in Stockholm, where the winner will be announced.

The project "Solar Energy as the Future of Sustainable Development," which was shortlisted for the European Award, is being implemented in cooperation with USAID. The total project value is approximately $1,250,000. In addition to fund-ing from USAID, there is a significant participation of Partner, in amount of $220,000.

The project includes two user groups. On one hand there are local businesses that are enabled to begin producing solar collectors, through education, loans and grants, and on the other hand, lending to small businesses and households that want to take a loan for the purchase of solar systems. Specifics of the project is that it was designed as a value chain, where domestic producers are producing solar systems for potential users, and the supply is being financed from the loan provided by the Partner Microcredit Foundation.

Successful realization of the three-year project with USAID would result in 20 local producers, with a sustainable production of solar collectors and at least 200 small businesses or individual objects with installed solar systems. It is important to mention a significant amount of energy that newly installed solar systems will save after the completion of the project.

Evropska nagradu za dobre prakse u mikrofinansiranju, koju zajednički organi-zuju Fondacija Giordano Dell’Amore i European Microfinance Network (EMN) odnosi se na institucije koje omogućavaju finansiranje dijelova društva koji su isključeni ili imaju ograničen pristup glavnim tokovima finansiranja. Cilj nagrade je podizanje svijesti o mikrofinansiranju kao pokretaču ekonomije, razmjenu dobrih i primjenjivih praksi među mikrofinansijskim organizacijama u Evropi i promovisanje inovativnosti i održivosti.

Dobitnik ove nagrade, koja se dodjeljuje na godišnjem nivou, dobija i finansijsku nagradu u iznosu od 50.000 eura, koja može biti investirana u nove projekte ali i u operativne aktivnosti organizacije.

Partnerova aplikacija za Evropsku nagradu je ušla u uži izbor, među tri najbolja projekta u Evropi i kao nagradu, organizator će snositi kompletne troškove prisustva za dva izabrana predstavnika na godišnjoj konferenciji EMN-a u Stock-holmu, na kojoj će biti proglašen pobjednik.

Specifičnost projekta je u tome da je projekat koncipiran kao zatvoreni krug, odnosno da domaći proizvođači proiz-vode solarne sisteme za potencijalne korisnike, koji se finansiraju iz kredita koje pruža Partner mikrokredina fondacija.

Uspješna realizacija trogodišnjeg projekta sa USAID-om, rezultirala bi sa 20 lokalnih proizvođača, sa održivom proizvodnjom solarnih kolektora i najmanje 200 malih biznisa ili individualnih objekata sa instaliranim solarnim sistemima. Veoma je važno napomenuti i uštedu energije koje će nakon završetka projekta novopostavljeni solarni sistemi ostvariti.

Učešće Partner MKF na EMN konferenciji

Predstavnici Partnera su učestvovali na 10. EMN konferenciji, kao finalisti za izbor nagrade koju dodjeljuju Giordano Dell’Amore Foundation and European Microfinance Network. Evropska nagrada za najbolje prakse u mikrofinansiranju ima za cilj podizanje svijesti o mikrofinansiranju kao alatu koji se koristi za ekonomske inicijative koje uključuju osobe koje nemaju pristup komercijalnim izvorima finansiranja. Ostali ciljevi su razmjena dobrih i primjenjivih praksi među mikrofinansijskim organizacijama u Evropi, promovisanje inovativnosti i održivosti. Konferencija se održala u Stockholmu, u periodu od 25.06. do 26.06. 2013. godine.

Pored učešća na konferenciji u svojstvu finaliste, predstavnik Partner mikrokreditne fondacije je učestvovao na sesiji pod nazivom „Green Microfi-nance“. Pomenuta sesija je imala za cilj da upozna učesnike konferencije sa aktivnostima koje mikrokreditne organizacije u Evropi sprovode kada je u pitanju energetska efikasnost te sa projektima koji imaju za cilj uštedu energije. Obzirom na trenutno iskustvo koje Partner posjeduje, kada je u pitanju ener-getska efikasnost i projekti vezani za pomenutu materiju, Partner je bio pozvan da aktivno učestvuje na panelu. Tokom panela razmijenjena su iskustva te su prodiskutovani izazovi koje projekti energetske efikasnosti nose sa sobom, kao i načini za prevazilaženje poteškoća u realizaciji sličnih projekata.

Partner MCF Takes Part at EMN Conference

Partner representatives attended the 10th EMN conference, as one of the finalists for the Award granted by Giordano Dell'Amore Foundation and Euro-pean Microfinance Network. European award for best practices in microfinance aims to raise awareness of microfinance as a tool used for economic initiatives that include people who do not have access to commercial sources of funding. Other objectives are the exchange of good practice, applicable among microfi-nance organizations in Europe, in order to promote innovation and sustainabil-ity. The conference was held in Stockholm, in the period from June 25th to June 26th 2013.

In addition to the participation in the conference as a finalist, a representative from Partner Microcredit Foundation has participated in the session titled "Green Microfinance." Mentioned session aimed to introduce the conference participants with activities that microcredit organizations in Europe carried out when it comes to energy efficiency and projects aimed at saving energy. Given the current experience that Partner has, when it comes to energy efficiency and related projects in the related field, Partner was invited to actively participate in the panel session. During the panel, the participants exchanged experiences and discussed the challenges of energy efficiency projects being implemented, as well as ways to overcome the difficulties in the implementation of similar projects.

REGA Project Successfully Completed

The solemn ceremony that was held in Hotel „Tuzla“in Tuzla marked the completion of the REGA Project (Rural Employment Generation Activity Project). At that occasion, the results of the five years long project implementation were summarized. Numerous guests, users of the loan product “Voćko” (Eng. Fruity) as well as the employees of the Partner MCF attended the ceremony. Mr. David Barth, the Director of the USAID Mission in BiH was among the guests, as well IN his address to the attendees, he said the following:

„Once the agriculturists manage to produce more food and increase their incomes, then they would be more able to support their families, provide education for their children, and enable better heath care for them and to invest in further development of their farms. This has direct influence over the economic stability of their local communities. I am convinced that through the support to farmers and enabling them the access to agricultural machinery, technical advice and knowledge, together, we can generate a new sense of the optimism and a new ambition among the farmers to ensure better future for this country.“

With an aim to provide financial services and include more farmers, and through the continuous support to small farms though crediting, in agreement with USIAD, Partner MCF has made available the funds for the second round of crediting upon the loan repayment. Second round of crediting was used for different purposes in agriculture, besides the production of soft fruits, but still it was intended to support the small farmers.

„Today, we are very proud of the results achieved through the implementation of the REGA project and the influence we have made over the local community and beyond. We are also proud of the fact that we are able to demonstrate today to our donor - USAID that we managed to justify their trust in Partner Microcredit Foundation. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our employees and their confidence in the success of this project, as well as without their efforts in providing the financial management skills training and efforts invested in promotion activities. We consider it the most important indicator of our success that we have managed to disburse 500 loans for production of soft fruits, which indirectly lead to improvement of the living conditions for 1846 members of families and increased their family income by almost 35%, said Selma Jahić, Executive Director for Loan Operations in Partner Microcredit Foundation.

The results of Partner regarding the REGA project by 11 September 2013 are shown by 500 disbursed loans and total amount of 736,217.83 EUR. The production of soft fruits in BiH is increased by 5, 5% and the incomes of the households of the farmers who took part in the project are increased by 33, 3%. REGA project made substantial improvement of the employment rate by creat-ing 500 employments, which lead to indirect improvement of lives for 1846 family members. Import of soft fruits decreased by 0,26% at the state level due to the increase in domestic production.

Uspješno okončan REGA projekat

Na svečanoj ceremoniji, održanoj u hotelu Tuzla u Tuzli, označen je završetak REGA projekta (Projekat - Aktivnost kreiranja ruralnih zaposlenja) i tom prilikom sumirani su petogodišnji rezultati projekta. Svečanosti su prisustvovali brojni gosti, korisnici kredita „Voćko“ i zaposlenici Partnera. Jedan od gostiju je bio i gospodin David Barth, direktor misije USAID BiH, koji je prilikom svog obraćanja izjavio sljedeće:

„Kada poljoprivrednici uzgoje više hrane i povećaju svoje prihode, onda su u mogućnosti da bolje prehrane svoje porodice, školuju svoju djecu i omoguće zdravstvenu zaštitu za njih, te i da investiraju u razvoj svojih farmi. Ovo direktno utiče i na ekonomsku stabilnost njihovih lokalnih zajednica. Ubijeđen sam da sa podrškom poljoprivrednicima i omogućavanjem njihovog pristupa poljoprivred-nim mašinama, tehničkim savjetima i znanju, zajedno možemo generirati novi osjećaj optimizma i ambicije među bh.poljoprivrednicima kako bi osigurali bolju budućnost ove zemlje.“

S ciljem pružanja finansijskih usluga i uključenja što većeg broja poljoprivrednika, kroz konstantnu podršku putem kreditiranja malih poljoprivrednika, Partner je obezbjedio sredstva za drugi krug kreditiranja od otplate kredita, u dogovoru sa USAID-om. Drugi krug kredita je korišten u različite poljoprivredne svrhe pored proizvodnje jagodičastog voća ali još uvijek je bio namijenjen malim poljoprivred-nicima.

„Veoma smo ponosni danas na rezultate implementacije REGA projekta i uticaj koji smo imali na lokalne zajednice i šire. Ponosni smo i na činjenicu da danas možemo predstaviti našem donatoru USAID-u da smo opravdali njihovo povjerenje u Partner mikrokreditnu fondaciju. Bez posvećenosti naših zaposle-nika i vjere u uspjeh ovog projekta, kao i njihovog zalaganja da pruže obuku iz finansijskih vještina upravljanja i promocije korisnicima kredita, ovo ne bi bilo moguće. Naš najvažniji rezultat uspjeha je svakako činjenica da smo uspjeli sa 500 izdatih kredita za uzgoj jagodičastog voća, indirektno poboljšati živote 1846 članova porodica putem ovog projekta i povećati njihove prihode domaćinstva za skoro 35%,“ riječi su Selme Jahić, izvršne direktorice kreditnih operacija Partner MKF.

Rezultati REGA projekta do 11. septembra 2013. se mjere u dodjeli 500 kredita i ukupnom iznosu od 736,217.83 EUR od strane Partnera. Proizvodnja jagodičastog voća u BiH je povećana za 5.5 %, a prihodi domaćinstava poljo-privrednika koji su učestvovali u projektu su povećani za 33.3 %. REGA projekat je značajano poboljšao zaposlenost sa kreiranjem 500 radnih mjesta, koja su indirektno poboljšali živote 1846 članova porodice. Uvoz jagodičastog voća, kroz povećanje domaće proizvodnje je smanjen za 0.26 % u BiH.

Numerous Orchards planted across BiH

Growing fruits cultures on small size land plots with the engagement of the immediate family members is one of the ways to solving the unemployment problem in our country. Through cultivation of their land, farmers may be able to generate sufficient incomes for covering the basic costs of living. Profitable production on small farms and setting up the plantations and their mainte-nance, require investment of significant funds and application of prescribed technical measures, constant presence and working the orchard, proper choice of seedlings and secured market for the products.

REGA project, implemented by Partner Microcredit Foundation with the assis-tance of the USAID, and aimed at supporting the fruit production development in BIH, which was implemented over the last few years has helped the fruit grow-ers in our country to overcome these obstacles more easily. A specific loan prod-uct named “Voćko” (Eng. Fruity) was created for this purpose, through which farmers received free technical assistance, starting from the soil testing, through the advice on planting the seedlings, advice on protection of the seedlings, to regular field visits. The project has been wrapped up by securing the market for the entire volume of crops.

The greatest progress happened in the area of Bugojno and neighboring Central Bosnia municipalities, where the genuine expansion of the setting up the rasp-berry plantations, as well as the other fruits, occurred. Former steel workers, truck drivers and tradesman became successful raspberry producers.

„We have managed to achieve a good production volume and quality of crops using the surface of one dunum, although we are new in fruit growing business. Thanks to this project, we managed to purchase quality seedlings and irrigation system, and with their help, we managed to set up the good quality raspberry plantation. We plan to expand the plantation and increase the production volume and our profits”, said Seida Ugarak from Vesela settlement, who, despite her short experience in raspberry production, has already won an important award “Zlatna Malina” (Eng golden raspberry) at the Novi Travnik Fair.

Besides raspberry, under the scope of this project, significant areas have been used to set up the blueberry plantation, which is now popular even in Čelić, which is traditionally known for its strawberry production. Experienced fruit growers understood that its production might be a good investment.

“The expenditures at the beginning are quite significant, but foremost, I decided to go on with planting the blueberry because the plant is perennial, secondly, because the crops once picked up may remain unspoiled even for a week, however, prevailing argument is the price of blueberries which is 8-10 KM per kilogram” said Safet Bešić from Ratkovići village.

New plantations are evidence that the farmers become more convinced of the profitability and other advantages of the fruit growing. Many orchards are the direct result of the REGA project while significant share of other plantations of raspberry, blackberry, blueberry and other types of fruits have been set up after their model.

Kroz “Rega” projekt podignuti brojni voćnjaci širom BiH

Uzgoj voćarskih kultura na malim površinama kroz angažman članova uže poro-dice, jedan je od načina za rješavanje problema nezaposlenosti u našoj zemlji. Farmeri na svojim posjedima mogu ostvariti prihod dovoljan za pokrivanje osnovnih životnih potreba. Za profitabilnu proizvodnju na manjim površinama, podizanje i održavanje zasada, potrebna su i značajna finansijska ulaganja uz primjenu propisanih mjera, stalno prisustvo i rad u voćnjaku, pravilan izbor sadnica te obezbjeđenje plasmana proizvoda.

Da se ove prepreke lakše savladaju, voćarima u našoj zemlji puno je pomogao “Rega” projekt, program razvoja voćarstva u BiH, proteklih godina implementiran od strane Partner mikrokreditne fondacije uz podršku USAID-a. Za ovu namjenu kreiran je poseban kreditni proizvod „Voćko“, a farmeri su imali besplatnu tehničku pomoć, od testiranja zemljišta, savjetovanja pri sadnji, zaštite sadnica, do redovnih posjeta na terenu. Sve je zaokruženo sigurnim otkupom cjelokup-nog roda.

Najveći pomaci su napravljeni na prostoru Bugojna i susjednih općina, gdje je posljednjih godina došlo do prave ekspanzije u podizanju zasada maline i drugih voćarskih kultura. Bivši metalski radnici, vozači kamiona i trgovci, postali su uspješni malinari.

„Mi smo na površini od jednog dunuma uspjeli da postignemo dobar rod i kvalitet ploda, iako smo novi u voćarstvu. Zahvaljujući ovom projektu nabavili smo kvalitetne sadnice i sistem za navodnjavanje i uz njihovu pomoć uspjeli da zasnujemo zasad maline dobrog kvaliteta. Planiramo da proširimo voćnjak i ostvarimo još veće količine i finansijsku dobit“, kaže Seida Ugarak iz naselja Vesela koja ima kratko iskustvo u prozvodnji, a već je nagrađivana značajnim priznanjem „Zlatna malina“ na Sajmu u Novom Travniku.

Osim maline, kroz ovaj projekt su zasađene i značajne površine borovnice koja je popularna čak i u Čeliću, tradicionalno voćarskom kraju, poznatom po proiz-vodnji jagode. Iskusni voćari su shvatili da njen uzgoj može biti dobra investicija.

„Finansijski izdaci su na početku značajni, ali me je najviše navelo da zasadim borovnicu to što je njeno stablo dugotrajno, drugi razlog je što ubrani plod može stajati i sedmicu dana, a ipak je presudila cijena ove kulture koja se kreće od 8 do 10 KM po kilogramu“, kaže Safet Bešić iz sela Ratkovići.

Novi zasadi svjedoče da se farmeri sami uvjeravaju u profitabilnost i druge pred-nosti bavljenja voćarstvom. Mnogi voćnjaci su direktan rezultat realizacije “Rega” projekta, a značajan dio ostalih površina pod malinom, kupinom, borovnicom i drugim vrstama voća podignut je po ugledu na njih.

Diligent Retiree Achieves Excellent Results in Fruit

THROUGH BECIR’S PLUM ORCHARD

Becir Demirovic from Mostar was born in Nevizdraci, near Konjic, in the area Buturovic Polje, where he owns considerable land area. The life in a city is economically difficult and the land in Becir’s native village very suitable for horti-culture, so the retiree opted for breeding plums, with a great success. On four different plots he planted 680 trees on which last year generated a return of more than 10 tons of ripe fruit.

Becir spends most of his time in his five-year old orchard where he planted 250 fruit trees. Last autumn he reaped about 8 kilos per tree, which is considered a very good yield for the current phase of growth. All plums Demirovic harvested, he sold to his regular buyer from Kiseljak area. The price is in relation to the previous year was slightly lower, but this did not deter Becir to continue with the unwavering will to nurture his fruit trees.

He expressed his gratitude to Partner Microcredit Foundation with whose support he raised and currently maintains orchard. Using different Partner programs and credit products, Demirović purchased seedlings and production materials, and later the necessary machinery. He specifically mentions the benefit of small cultivators who serves him for cultivating orchards and lawn mower which he also bought.

"We all know the extent of the pensions in our country, and I it weren’t from my income from the plums cultivation, I would be struggling for a living. I should point out that I am at my best when I’m in my orchard, and I'm much healthier since I’m in this business "says satisfied Becir Demirovic.

During the largest part of the year, because of errands with the orchards, he resides in his Nevizdraci, and only for a short winter period he temporarily goes to Bijelo Polje near Mostar, where his sons live.

Demirovic is not satisfied what he achieved in fruit growing and announces rising of a new plantation of 200 trees, this time with a special pear variety called "Santa Maria," which he believes will make a higher returns then plums. Given that for three months he is going to pay off the current loan taken from Partner Microcredit Foundation, he plans to raise another one, which will be used for the realization of his ideas.

Vrijedni penzioner postiže odlične rezultate u voćarstvu

KROZ BEĆIROVE ŠLJIVIKE

Mostarac Bećir Demirović je rođen u Nevizdracima kod Konjica, na području Buturović Polja, gdje posjeduje značajne površine zemljišta. Kako je život u gradu ekonomski sve teži, a zemlja u rodnom selu veoma pogodna za voćarstvo, ovaj penzioner se odlučio za uzgoj šljive, u čemu ima velikog uspjeha. Na 4 različite parcele zasadio je 680 stabala na kojima je prošle godine ostvario prinos od više od 10 tona zrelih plodova.

Bećir najveći dio vremena provodi u svom petogodišnjem šljiviku u kojem je zasađeno 250 voćki. U njemu je protekle jeseni ubirao oko 8 kilograma po stablu, što smatra veoma dobrim rodom za sadašnju fazu rasta. Svu ubranu šljivu Demirović je prodao svom redovnom kupcu sa područja Kiseljaka. Cijena je u odnosu na prethodne godine bila nešto niža, ali to nije pokolebalo Bećira da sa nesmanjenom voljom i dalje njeguje svoje voćke.

On iskazuje veliku zahvalnost Partner mikrokreditnoj fondaciji uz čiju je podršku podigao i trenutno održava zasade. Koristeći različite Partnerove programe i kreditne proizvode, Demirović je nabavio sadnice i repromaterijal, a kasnije i neophodnu mehanizaciju. Posebno ističe korist od manjeg motokultivatora koji mu služi za okopavanja voćnjaka, te kosilice koju je takođe kupio.

« Svi znamo kolike su penzije u našoj zemlji, i da mi nije prihoda od uzgoja šljive, veoma bi teško živio. Moram naglasiti da se u svom šljiviku najbolje osjećam, i da sam puno zdraviji kako se bavim ovim poslom » kaže prezadovoljni Bećir Demirović.

Najveći dio godine, upravo zbog brige o voćnjacima, on boravi u svojim Neviz-dracima, a samo u kratkom zimskom periodu privremeno odlazi u Bijelo Polje kod Mostara, gdje mu žive sinovi.

Demirović se ne zadovoljava do sada postignutim u voćarstvu i najavljuje podi-

zanje novog zasada od 200 stabala, ovog puta kruške posebne sorte pod nazivom « Santa Maria », za koju vjeruje da će mu donositi veće prihode od šljive. S obzirom da će za 3 mjeseca otplatiti sadašnji kredit uzet od Partner mikrokreditne fondacije, planira podizanje sljedećeg, koji će iskoristiti za ostva-renje svoje ideje.

The successful example of greenhouse production near Ilijas

THE WHOLE HOUSEHOLD LIVES FROM FOUR GREENHOUSES

Five-member household of Hamid Dervisevic from Vlaskovo village, near Ilijas, is largely reliant on greenhouse vegetable production. Dervisevic family is well known in his region as a very diligent family, and sought ways to overcome economic crises and the lack of jobs in industry sectors. They decided to take advantage of the benefits offered by "Agro loans” from Partner Microcredit Foun-dation, and took a loan of 10,000 KM, to purchase and, not far from the family home, set four greenhouses on the area of 100 square meters.

In the first production cycle they planted tomatoes, cucumbers and some peppers and immediately achieved a very good yield. Hamida’s husband and son had previously been clients Partner MCF and each time the funds they raised were used for a variety of business activities and improving the living standard of their family. The current loan is taken for a period of four years with monthly installment of 251 BAM. The revenue from sale of produced vegetables provided a regular loan repayment and a significant profit.

The five-member household of Hamida Dervisevic from Vlaskovo village near Ilijas is largely reliant on greenhouses. “Besides the greenhouses, we got the rest, the associated irrigation system which is very important for a successful produc-tion. I would like to point out the professional help from Partner’s Agronomists with whom we are in constant contact, because we hadn’t have much experience and knowledge about this method of growing vegetables.” says Hamid Dervise-vic.

Hers greenhouses are planted with large amounts of green onions, spinach and lettuce that will be on the market at the beginning of spring. Dervisevic’s family is so accomplished that they managed to enable a year-round production of virtu-ally no interruption. There are some problems with the placement of products, which is difficult to place due to uncontrolled import of vegetables from neigh-boring countries.

Hamida points out that this job can provide for living, and she confirms it with the intention of the business expansion. Based on the experiences from the first and the second year, The Dervisevic family planted their seedlings earlier in order to attain the crops before it reaches the market selling price of vegetables. Mem-bers of this diligent family announced their idea of setting up a new greenhouse and start cultivating strawberries and some other crops in the open. Very favor-able loans Partner MCF intended for agriculture that are already successfully used, depriving them from the concern how to provide initial funding for the planned production .

Uspješan primjer plasteničke proizvodnje u blizini Ilijaša

OD ČETIRI PLASTENIKA ŽIVI CIJELO DOMAĆINSTVO

Petočlano domaćinstvo Hamide Dervišević iz naselja Vlaškovo kod Ilijaša najvećim dijelom živi od plasteničke proizvodnje povrća. Derviševići su poznati u svom kraju kao veoma vrijedna porodica, i tražili su načine da prebrode vrijeme ekonomske krize i nedostatka posla u drugim djelatnostima. Odlučili su da iskoriste pogodnosti koje nude « Agrokrediti » Partner-mikrokreditne fondacije, te su uzeli kredit u iznosu od 10. 000 KM, nabavili i nedaleko od porodične kuće postavili četiri plastenika površine po 100 kvadratnih metara. U prvom proiz-vodnom ciklusu zasadili su paradajz, krastavac i nešto paprike, i odmah postigli veoma dobar prinos. Hamidin muž i sin su ranije bili klijenti Partner MKF i svaki put podignuta sredstva su iskorištena za različite poslovne aktivnosti i podizanje standarda ove porodice. Sadašnji kredit je uzet na vremenski period od 4 godine sa mjesečnom ratom 251 KM. Prihodi ostvareni prodajom proizvedenog povrća omogućavaju redovno vraćanje kredita i značajnu dobit.

-Osim plastenika, dobili smo uz ostalo i pripadajući sistem za navodnjavanje koji je veoma važan za uspješnu proizvodnju. Istakla bih i stručnu pomoć « Partnerovih » agronoma s kojima smo u stalnom kontaktu, jer ranije nismo imali baš mnogo iskustva i znanja o ovom načinu uzgoja povrća- kaže Hamida Dervišević.

U njenim plastenicima odavno su zasađene velike količine mladog luka, špinata i salate koji će se početkom proljeća naći na tržištu. Derviševići su tako postigli da se tokom cijele godine proizvodnja praktično ne prekida. Postoje određeni problemi sa plasmanom proizvoda koji je otežan zbog nekontrolisanog uvoza povrća iz susjednih zemalja.

Hamida ističe da se od ovog posla ipak može živjeti, a to potvrđuje namjerom za njegovo proširenje. Na osnovu iskustva iz prve, u drugoj godini Derviševići će nešto ranije zasaditi svoje kulture kako bi rod prije prispio i našao se na tržištu, što podrazumijeva i višu početnu prodajnu cijenu povrća. Ćlanovi ove vrijedne porodice najavljuju postavljanje novih plastenika, te početak uzgoja jagode i još nekih kultura na otvorenom. Veoma povoljni krediti Partner MKF namijenjeni za oblast poljoprivrede koje su već uspješno koristili, lišavaju ih briga kako će obez-bijediti inicijalna sredstva za planiranu proizvodnju.

Pero Ignjic is a well-known farmer in Kotor Varos and the area. He lives in periph-ery, in the household with his wife Jadranka, two daughters and granddaughter. One of his daughter is employed and other family members are mainly engaged in milk production. The family farm Ignjic have four cows which provide the basic income for life.

Pero has been a client of Partner Microcredit Foundation for a longtime and so far, he has used five loans in different amounts, while his wife used three loans with Partner. By repaying their installments on time, this diligent host from Kotor Varoš is now able to take loans in larger amounts which he can invest in different business activities. In May 2013 Ignjić has taken a new loan with Partner MCF, in the amount of BAM 8,000, with the repayment schedule of four years, and with monthly installment of about BAM 242.

The money was used to build a barn, and Pero used a part of the money to get a new pet, a horse named Falcon. Pero uses this working animal to transport wood, hay and other fodder and tillage. Ignjjic also provides these services to his neighbors for a certain fee.

« I live and work in a hilly area where we cannot always use mechanical equip-ment, so it was necessary for me to get a hoarse. Falcon is engaged every day, so you can surely say that he repaid himself off during first several months. I constantly need money to invest, so we have had several loans in Partner, which shows the size of our mutual trust. »

Previous loans he used to support agriculture or livestock procurement and construction of ancillary facilities. One of the previous loans from Partner MCF he used to buy a piece of arable land. Given the current economic situation, in the future Ignjic family will continue to provide for living largely from the dairy.

Therefore, after they repay this current loan, they plan to take a new one, which they will use to purchase a few dairy cows, to create conditions to increase milk production.

Podigao kredit da kupi konja i napravi štalu

SOKO SAM SEBE OTPLATIO

Pero Ignjić je poznati poljoprivrednik u Kotor Varoši i okolini. Živi na periferiiji ovog mjesta, u zajedničkom domaćinstvu sa suprugom Jadrankom, dvije kćerke i unukom. Jedna njegova kćerka je zaposlena, a ostali članovi najvećim dijelom se bave proizvodnjom mlijeka. U porodičnoj farmi Ignjići imaju 4 muzne krave i time ostvaruju osnovne prihode za život.

Pero je dugogodišnji klijent Partner-mikrokreditne fondacije i do sada je koristio 5 kredita u različitim iznosima, a njegova supruga je tri puta uzimala kreditna sredstva od « Partnera ». Redovnim vraćanjem kreditnih rata u prethodnim slučajevima, kotorvaroški domaćin je sebi stvorio uslove i za podizanje većih iznosa i finansiranje značajnijih aktivnosti. U maju 2013. Ignjić je započeo novi kreditni ciklus sa Partner MKF, u kome su sredstva visine 8. 000 KM, uzeta sa rokom vraćanja od 4 godine i mjesečnom ratom koja iznosi približno 242 KM.

Novac je upotrijebljen za izgradnju štale, a Pero je od dijela sredstava nabavio svog novog ljubimca, konja po imenu Soko. Radnu životinju farmer koristi za prevoz drva, sijena i ostale stočne hrane, te za obradu zemljišta. Ove poslove Ignjjić obavlja i svojim komšijama za određenu novčanu naknadu.

-Živim i radim u takvim predjelima gdje se sve ne može obaviti mehanizacijom, pa mi je konj bio neophodan. Soko je angažovan svakog dana, tako da sigurno mogu reći da se sam otplatio već za nekoliko mjeseci. Novac za ulaganje mi stalno treba i prema broju « Partnerovih » kredita koje smo ja i žena podizali vidi se koliko je i kakvo je naše međusobno povjerenje- ističe Pero Ignjić.

Dosadašnje kredite on je koristio za podršku poljoprivredi, odnosno nabavku stoke i izgradnju pomoćnih objekata. U jednom slučaju je za uzeta sredstva uzeta od Partner MKF kupio obradivo zemljište. S obzirom na aktuelnu ekonom-sku situaciju, Ignjići će i u narednom periodu najvećim dijelom živjeti od mljek-arstva.

Zato, nakon završetka sadašnjeg kreditnog ciklusa, novi kredit koji će uzeti, iskoristiće za nabavku još nekoliko muznih krava i stvaranje uslova za povećanje proizvodnje mlijeka.

Specialized store in the Center of Banja Luka operates very successfully

THE SUZANA’S - THE BEST PLACE TO BUY GIFTSFOR YOUR DEAREST IN BANJA LUKA

Suzana Javorac is the owner of the bags and leather accessories store called "Dixy", which is located in the center of Banja Luka. The store supports her entire household, Susanna, her mother and two sons who are students. In the rented space, and in a very difficult time for this and similar businesses, Ms. Javorac manages to attract a significant number of customers, pay the rent and other liabilities, and generate revenue for the support of the family. Among the regular expenditures, she manages to repay a loan installment of about 300 KM per month, for a loan she has taken with Partner Microcredit Foundation last year. She has taken a loan in amount of 10,000 KM with repayment period of four years, and it is the fifth Partner's loan that Suzana is using.

"The variety of the offer is what keeps me in business. If I had not taken loans from Partners and procured goods, I would not have this variety of goods and sales. People come to me because they know they will always find something new and interesting, "says Suzana Javorac.

At the time of graduation, weddings, religious and other holidays, various celebrations and similar circumstances, the store has the most customers, and the owner is trying to enrich the offer. Beside the usual bags, customers can get a matching wallet, belt, kit, watch or a suitable product, which increases sales and revenue. For many people from Banja Luka, to find a suitable birth-day and other gifts for their dearest is easiest to find and buy right in Suzana's. The store must always be filled with goods, and as pointed out by a seller, it is necessary to closely follow trends in this business.

Despite some difficulties, the diligent single mother expects that she’ll be in the same job by the end of her carrier. In order to be successful, she has to closely follow the trends, and her need for loan assets to enrich the offer in the store will not stop. Considering that she is regularly repaying a fifth loan with Partner Microcredit Foundation, when she settle the debt, she plans to take the a new loan, to ensure that her store in the city center is always good and well provided, to the satisfaction of many regular customers.

MNOGI BANJALUČANI POKLONE ZA NAJBLIŽEKUPUJU KOD SUZANE

Suzana Javorac je vlasnica prodavnice torbi i kožne galanterije pod nazivom « DIXY » koja se nalazi u centru Banja Luke. Od ove radnje živi cijelo domaćinstvo, Suzana, njena majka i dvojica sinova koji su inače studenti. U zakupljenom pros-toru, u veoma teškom vremenu za ovaj i slične poslove, gospođa Javorac uspijeva privući značajan broj mušterija, plaćati najamninu i ostale obaveze, te ostvariti prihod za izdržavanje porodice. Među redovnim izdacima su i rate za kredit u iznosu od oko 300 KM mjesečno, koji je prošle godine uzela od Partner-mikrokreditne fondacije. Sredstva od 10. 000 KM podignuta su sa rokom vraćanja od 4 godine, i to je već peti« Partnerov » kredit koji ova žena koristi.

-Različitost ponude je ono što me drži u poslu. Da nisam uzimala njihove kredite i nabavljala robu, ne bih imala ovaj asortiman i prodaju. Ljudi dolaze kod mene jer znaju da će uvijek pronaći nešto novo i zanimljivo- kaže Suzana Javorac.

U vrijeme matura, svadbi, vjerskih i ostalih praznika, raznih svečanosti i u sličnim prilikama, u prodavnici ima najviše kupaca, a vlasnica se trudi da uz uobičajene torbe, mušterije mogu dobiti i odgovarajući novčanik, kaiš, neseser, sat ili neki prikladan proizvod, što povećava prodaju i prihode. Mnogi Banjalučani rođendanske i druge poklone za svoje najbliže najlakše pronađu i redovno kupuju upravo kod Suzane. Radnja uvijek mora biti puna, i kako ističe prodavačica, potrebno je pratiti kretanja u toj oblasti.

I pored značajnih teškoća, vrijedna samohrana majka očekuje da će do kraja radnog vijeka obavljati isti posao. Zbog toga će morati stalno biti « u trendu », pa njena potreba za uzimanjem kreditnih sredstava i obogaćivanjem ponude neće prestati.S obzirom da redovno vraća već peti kredit podignut kod Partner-mikrokreditne fondacije, po izmirenju obaveza planira uzeti novi, i osigurati danjena prodavnica u centru grada, na zadovoljstvo brojnih redovnih kupaca, bude uvijek dobro i kvalitetno snabdjevena.
