PRINCIPAL’S REPORT
ATTENDANCE AT SCHOOL
WHY DOES IT MATTER?
Goulburn West as part of its wellbeing and welfare program is encouraging all students to attend for the full school day. Many of our absences come from running late for school or leaving early.
Take a look at this table below for some sobering facts. After all, each day in school, new ideas and concepts are learnt that go on to support further learning.
IF YOU WANT YOUR LEARNING TO GROW AND YOU WANT TO GET A GOOD JOB, BE IN SCHOOL ON TIME

SCHOOL HATS
Please ensure that your child is wearing his or her own hat that is
clearly labelled with their own name and not another student's
name. There have been numerous reports from very unhappy
parents that their child's hat has been taken and worn by other
students that do not have a hat and are not being returned.
Parents should not be expected to constantly buy new hats
for their son or daughter because someone else
has lost or misplaced theirs.

Family Contact Details
Have you moved or changed your phone number recently?
Please contact the school office or send in a note with your child/ren if any
of your contact details and emergency contact details need to be updated.
Payments at the school office are
cash only or via the school website.
Please label all envelopes with
child’s name, class and what the
payment is for.
Student Pick Up A quick reminder that the staff carpark is for
staff parking only.
Please DO NOT drive into the carpark and pickup your
children as this is a serious safety concern.

This year Goulburn West students will again be using the digital learning
journal Seesaw. Seesaw allows students to independently document what
they are learning at school. Students capture learning with photos and
videos of their work, or by adding digital creations. As a parent you have
access to your own child’s journal (no other parent will have access to
any other child’s personal journal) and the class newsfeed. Parents al-
ready connected to a student journal from last year will continue to be
connected in their child’s new classroom. If you no longer wish to be con-
nected or wish for your child not to participate on this platform please let
your class teacher or the office staff know as soon as possible. If you have
any questions please contact Megan Kehlet at school on 48211781.
A Consolidated Permission Form was sent out online via
CareMonkey. Thank you to those that have already sent them
back.
If you have not done so as yet, please complete and submit
forms to CareMonkey as soon as possible.

The club is for students interested in playing the Pokemon card game. There
will be mentors for those new to the game.
They meet during recess time on Wednesday in the library.
NO cards are to be brought in from home.
Due to some very generous donations from , and some of
our Goulburn West families, the school has several decks of cards that the club
